I've lived in the area as a kid and just recently moved back. I loved this book store as a kid since it was so small it fulfilled all my cute library dreams reading in there haha. It is located in the Toco Hills plaza next to Kroger and Pikes, and the parking lot is huge so no worries on parking. The book store is small but is filled to the brim with books. I had a lot of fun browsing and bought two books. I heard there was a cat, but we did not see it on this trip. I am hoping to see it on the next one!

An independent local business. If you don't know what to read next, the staff can suggest based on your interests and needs. The store itself is small but has a cheerful atmosphere and a feline. If there is something that is in print and not on the shelves then they are happy to order. The prices may be slightly higher but they pay taxes, enrich our community and help prevent billionaires from having a stranglehold on authors.

It's a very nice little shop, and I had no problem with service as I have noticed in prior comments that have been posted. Once I told the representative what I was looking for, she took me right over and showed me the spot. I made my choice, I paid, and I was happily off on my way.

This is a nice ma and pa book shop located in the Toco Hills Shopping Center. The woman at the front was friendly. As soon as I walked in she asked if I needed help finding anything. They have a nice little selection of books from all ages. Since they are a small store their book prices are a little higher than a chain store, but I am all for supporting small businesses. They also have a friendly cat that roams around the store which gives the shop an even friendlier vibe. If you are in the area I definitely recommend checking out what they have to offer.

I had not been in a brick and mortar book store in 5+yrs.Went in here to browse. Bought a large print mystery book . They have about 20 large print in stock. Then wife came in and bought a dark fantasy audible cd. And then we bought a travel book. And a fiction book too. Owner and staff were VERY helpful!!!Will be back every month or two. Buy local.

I was in the area one Saturday and decided to check out Tall Tales bookstore. They're located in the Toco Hills plaza close to Kroger. Parking is shared and plentiful. There was one cat perusing the shop when I went and he wandered freely so keep that in mind if you have allergies. It's not a huge shop but they have a pretty good collection of books and they can order titles for you if they don't have what you're looking for. The staff were nice. I ended up purchasing one book and didn't notice until a couple months later (my TBR list is big lol) that in several pages in the first half of the book the pages were so dark I couldn't read the text. It's not their fault but it was annoying nonetheless. The book was in brand new condition and I still had the receipt but I didn't bother to go back and try to return/exchange it. Fortunately once I got past those pages in the beginning it was no longer an issue. So a PSA when book shopping if you're not already doing it - don't just read the first couple of pages. Flip through the entire book to make sure all the pages are legible. Other than that I'd recommend checking them out.

A lovely little neighborhood bookstore!I dropped in to pick up a notebook, and was glad I did so the moment I stepped in the store. I was greeted by warm and friendly customer service, and a great selection of products. I got to make my choice in peace, picked up a perfect notebook for my needs, and am sure I will be back soon to check out what looked like an amazing book collection.Highly recommended!

Best bookstore in town! Small, but they have so much and can order anything. And they're the nicest and most helpful of neighbors. It's always a pleasure to support our local independent bookshop.

We travel from out of state to visit this wonderful bookstore, which has beautifully curated selections of books within each section, wonderful gifts, and a smart, helpful, hospitable staff. Several times when I’ve needed gifts and haven’t known what to choose, the owner has made brilliant suggestions and I’ve had happy gift recipients! The shop gladly does special orders and the staff goes the extra mile!

Go here!! This is such a lovely local bookshop!!If you are looking to find new interesting books to read, then they have a great selection in store! They can also advise you on books based on your interests which I find extremely helpful! ??If you are looking for a specific book, they can order it for you and you're supporting a local business! ?They've been neighborhood staple my whole life, and I can't imagine getting my books anywhere else! Also, when you're buying books as gifts for the holidays make sure you ask them to gift wrap! They have lovely wrapping paper and do a wonderful job. ??
