I’ve been using this vet practice for the last 4 years. Dr. Clarke and her staff are friendly, communicative and know their stuff. This clinic will also be upfront about what they can and can’t do (surgeries that require overnight care, for example) and do not scare you into doing unnecessary tests and procedures.

The customer service is phenomenal! My dog is a senior and the staff has always been extremely patient with him. I appreciate them .They are all professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Clarke is very caring and she is always available for any questions that I may have concerning my baby. AWESOME service!!!

Making an appointment was easy.
The staff are really nice.
Did not have to wait after we arrived.
Clean and smells good.
The price of services was good.
We made the hard decision to euthanize our cat of 16 years. The staff here were very respectful. I also liked seeing young vets in training.
If we get another cat this will be their vet.

The price was great and the staff was great. But I guess it was to late for my dog Mr. Tibbs. He never got better after the visit. He got worse. He was my heart. I just wish they could have kept him overnight for observation he might would have had a chance .

I transferred to this vet office after the one I previously used for 10 years closed down. This office is amazing, and I wish I knew about them 10 years ago. All of the staff are so kind, patient, knowledgeable, organized, and efficient! Such a different experience than I was used to! Thank you guys for being awesome and taking care of all my animals!

If you’re like me, you want to ensure your pup is healthy and happy without breaking the bank. Southwest Veterinary Clinic strikes a balance between quality care and affordability visit costs. However, SVC is more expensive overall. The staff is incredibly friendly and feels like a family, which adds a comforting touch to each visit. For example, a visit for my 1-year-old Wirehaired Vizsla costs $58, a fair price compared to the $75 fee at VCA College Park.
However, Southwest Veterinary Clinic can be more expensive overall due to their pharmacy policies. They require you to use their in-house pharmacy or provide a physical script to be mailed to an external pharmacy like Chewy, which can take two weeks to process—a timeline that’s often impractical.
For instance, during a recent visit to address a rash on my pup's neck, I was prescribed 11 pills and a mousse, each costing $50 at Southwest. In contrast, the same medication through Chewy would have cost $20 for the pills and $16 for the mousse, saving me $64.
In conclusion, I plan to continue using Southwest Veterinary Clinic for annual visits and scheduled check-ups due to their friendly staff and reasonable visit fees. However, for unexpected illnesses or immediate medication needs, I would opt for VCA or another vet that sends prescriptions digitally to other pharmacies.
