I came in from DC for an event at the Cobb Galleria. From the minute we arrived the customer service was stellar. We were able to check-in early to get settled in. As we were checking-in we met Fred the driver. He was kind, friendly, and very helpful as we navigated the area. He went above and beyond to make sure we had transportation. The shuttle is available for destinations within 5 miles of the hotel. It’s about a 35-ish minute drive from the airport. I wasn’t happy about the daily parking fee, so we decided not to rent a car and taxied from the airport and walked the area for food, or arranged to have Fred take us around. I would definitely come again if I’m ever in that part of the city again. Fred and the rest of the staff definitely went above and beyond.

I was in town for a conference and needed to stay somewhat close to the host hotel, which was all booked up.
The service was absolutely incredible. Every person I interacted with was amazing, I truly felt cared for during my stay. I ate at the bar and the food was delicious, and Deontae was my bartender, great service all around from him.
The hotel itself was clean, but you can tell it's old. I was very displeased with the fact that my showers wouldn't stay warm. It was quite frustrating given the long conference and just needing a warm shower.

This is the Silpirit of hotels. They charge $15 plus tax per night "Destination Fee" for the pool, gym, internet... the things that are included with the room! It's mandatory, so just add $20 per night on the room price. I would not be surprised if they start charging for elevators soon.

Rooms: Rooms were old. Some rooms don't have microwave and fridge.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past two years. At first i was ok with paying the $12 parking EVEN THOUGH THEY DO NOT TRANSPORT TO THE AIRPORT THEY STILL CHARGE FOR PARKING. Now that fee is now $15 for parking. They also charge a $10 destination fee. So just upfront to stay here it’s $25 with no transportation to the airport. They also do not relay at check in what all you will be charged for unless you specifically ask.
Tubs are super slick.
I love the bartender and Fred the transport but for the hotels around and the location, you can find a better place to stay without all the costs with a clean pool

Sorry, long post alert!!! My family stayed here last week. Over all the service was wonderful and the staff was attentive and accommodating. The event that they catered and arranged was fantastic and the dinner prepared was AMAZING! Kudos to the house chef!!! The dining room staff during breakfast was fantastic. They really got to know the guest if you were there more than a day. The things that I have an issue with is not the staff or the service they provided. So, if I based my stay on this, I would hands down come back especially for events hosted.
What will prevent me from returning is a combination of several things, the last one being the main one. I was a bit disappointed in the room. But that's okay, because the room was very clean and we had what we needed and the staff assisted if they could. There were other things about the room that disappointed me. The rooms actually need queen beds because those double beds are a bit challenging for two adults, so spend the extra money and get the king bed if you plan to share a bed. The bathroom in our room was extremely small. Also, you will need a bathmat because there is no grip in the tub, so it is slippery and there are no bars to grab if you slip. I almost fell in the tub. We lost power several times, so if you have health issues or small kids, ask for a low floor because you don't want to get stuck in the elevator or have to walk up 8 or 9 flight of steps. Also, if you plan to eat breakfast there, make sure your room includes it because it is not included or free. And if you need a washer/dryer, they only have one on the 9th floor.
The worst part of our stay was our inconsiderate guess next door on the last night. My sleep was interrupted and I had to drive 5 hrs the next morning. We did not hear any of the other guess before then and slept very well. But if they are inconsiderate, lord help you because you can hear EVERYTHING! So take ear plugs for yourself if you sleep light and for your underaged kids. I don't knock anyone for having their intimate times in hotels; however, I do have a problem with not respecting the people around you. The last night we stayed, I was awaken by the people in the next room put on a X-Rated show 3:40AM and was I praying my kids stayed sleep through it all. But it started again at 7:30AM, so I had to call because my kids were waking up. I know if we heard them, I know people heard them in the halls because we were able to hear when the elevators arrived on our floor. The staff was very apologetic and I appreciate that, but it was not their fault and I felt that my hearing was violated. It wasn't like I could un-hear that madness! So if you have underaged children beware because you don't know if you will get an unwanted show. I thought it was just our room, but a few of our family remembers experienced the same thing.
I wish that I'd taken photo's for the beautiful amenities, the catered food, and the beauty of the lobby and staff. They have a great gym, and an amazing indoor/outdoor combination pool. The hotel is convenient located across the street from a Publix, McDonalds, and a CVS with easy access to I285.
Rooms: Some bathrooms and double beds are too small if you are sharing a bed, even for children over six.
Food and drinks: Food was AMAZING for catered events. FANTASTIC CHEF!!!! Decent cash bar.
Noteworthy details: Wonderful gym, pool area, great event space, beautiful dining space, accommodating staff, clean rooms.

I stayed here the night of 7/11 and have reached out to Sonesta privately several times to try to handle this without writing a review, but they have repeatedly ignored emails and my experience here was unacceptable.
The hotel itself is fine, the rooms are fine. Except for the fact that there was a rat (or something of a similar size) inside the bathroom cabinet. It was in an area that isn’t reachable except from inside the wall, so I’m assuming it came in that way, but every time I was in the bathroom during my stay I heard the scratching coming from inside the cabinet. It was too loud to have been a mouse so I’m assuming it was a rat. I do have the sound on video as it happened multiple times throughout the night. I had no way of knowing if it was going to find its way out of the cabinet or not and I was afraid it was going to make its way out every time I was in the bathroom.
I still tried to give Sonesta the chance to handle this privately and they haven’t, which is why I’m sharing this here now. This is unacceptable, and so is this hotel’s customer service. For the amount they charge for not only the room but their “destination” fee and parking, it is not worth it. There’s plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from.

I was unlucky and got a room with a strong foul, rotten smell coming from the AC, like a dead animal. I checked in late at night and am unfortunately too exhausted to go back down and protest. But it's clear that this room should not be offered to guests until this issue is resolved. It is not a subtle issue, someone must have noticed before, indicating very questionable standards here.

This hotel has so many fees that make it very unwelcoming. The best way to stay in business is through referrals. If we can get the BBB involved we will. DO NOT BOOK THOS HOTEL. All of the extra charges and fees should be announced at check in. They tell you about parking $15 dollar per day fee at check in and SURPRISE you with a $15 destination fee at checkout. I’m starting with this review but won’t stop until some changes are made.
There is a class action lawsuit against Sonesta for Junk Fees as of May 22,2024.

So many stupid forced fees! I booked one room through my company for a work trip but when I arrived I have to now pay more for a parking fee, some type of package with add ons I don't want, and the security deposit. Oh wait, I can't use the same company card I used when booking the room to pay for any of that. It really doesn't seem like this hotel wants company's to use this hotel. Plus no microwave or mini fridge in the room. I've never seen a hotel that didn't have a mini fridge Don't be fooled by the nicer looks of the hotel, it's worse than a truck stop motel. Avoid at all cost!
