I'm so happy to know there still open. Over a decade ago, while daughter attended Spellmen College. I purchased some amazing collectibles every time . Some I have resold so others can share with the world. Every time I entered I always felt a sense of calm & the lovely people working there had the best energy. Brings back the amazing memories of the 1st African American Tour Accountant William "Tanky" Sims, may he RIP. Who introduced me to the Shrine of the Black Madonna.

The Shrine Bookstore & Cultural Center has been around since 1975 and is part of the Shrine of the Black Madonna complex which includes a church, offices and a learning center. The bookstore has a nice selection of books, black art, clothing and there's one section of the bookstore that houses The Black Holocaust Exhibit. The exhibit is a must see!

My wife and I had an experience of a lifetime visiting the Shrine of the Black Madonna! I think every Ancient African should take their entire family to learn about our Heritage and Culture. ❤️??

The true history of a people, the Shrine Of The Black Madonna bookstore is the largest African/African American bookstore in America. Here you will find great historic work, by our Black Master Teachers. Check out the African history class, every Saturday at 1:30 PM. The African history class is free to the public. The Shrine of The Black Madonna is a major organization in the West End. Our former Mayor, a so call black man were arrangeing regeniforication tours in the West End. Tours where anybody but black people suppose to come and take property from black people. Now, the West End area is supposed to be a keen area. Instead of someone taking an 80 year old black woman house away from her the West End, we will work to help this 80 year old black woman keep her house. After 65 years of legal Jim Crow, of BLACK people living in the West End, I see that the city of Atlanta decided to put Vista along I-20, the exit leading into the West End. See my people, this is the first indication that you got predators and rats. This is your first indication that the local government has organized themselves to steal your real estate properties. Usually they attempt to enter areas they feel will give the less resistance. So this is always the black community or better yet the Native people. We know what happened to the Native people. The native were killed for their land and the remainder were put on reservations. Back in the day, now the black man, our local government just come into his house and kill everybody in the house, this process is referred to as lynching. American is only doing what it knows best. See, as long as we have bad politics in our community we will never ever, never control one destiny. Everytime one group runs out of real estate properties, he goes and steal the black man real estate properties. This process will never end until one group fail to exist. The Shrine of the Black MaDonna is concerned about their neighbors well being.
