My visit to this store was not what was aspected. My rude reception was astonishing! I was addressed as if this person had no interest in what I needed. I was "instructed" that, even though she had turned her back to me, that I should have approached the desk, even though she was not there.

Today, on 6/24, I embarked on what I thought might be the final trial of a month-long journey to paint a wall. I will spare the unnecessary details, but I was happy to finally find a paint at Sherwin-Williams that fit my needs. However, I ran out of said paint and went to this store at 4:25 (35 minutes before close) to get a last quart to finalize a repair that needn't taken so long. On the door was a sign that said the employee on duty was in the restroom and would be back at 4:40. I am not one to judge the bathroom habits of others, but 15 minutes seemed like quite a long time and the fact that the employee knew it would take that long seemed interesting, but not implausible. Very well, I decided to run across the street to Kroger to pick up something I needed and upon returning at 4:35 a new sign was on the door saying that the employee was in the restroom and would be back at 4:50. I saw then the ruse of effectively ending their own work at least 35 minutes before the store's closing time (who knows how long they have been doing this, maybe every fifteen minutes from open to close this employee puts up a new sign). I decided it would be fine, while irritating, I understand the tiring work of customer service and an extended break is nothing to truly become upset about. However, when the employee did not come at 4:50 to take down their sign I became slightly irritated. At 5:00 when the store officially closed, no one was seen. I knocked and tried to see if anyone was there, but saw emptiness through the window. I waited until 5:10 and still seeing no one I resigned myself to having to finish my project another day. It is not so much the unprofessionalism that disappointed me today. It was the lies. Maybe I am over-reacting, or mistaken. Maybe the unfortunate employee ate something that did not sit well with them today, knew the length of time that it might take given the circumstances, thought they were concluded with their intestinal issues but felt another wave of danger coming from the bellows of their bowels and in haste wrote another sign to hopefully explain to any irritated potential customer the problem at hand. Maybe said employee needs to visit a GI soon and maybe they are on their way to this specialist right now. Either way I did not get my paint.

While some associates are great (past few times I’ve been they were super helpful - even saved the day) but I was at the store Oct 22 in the morning and an associate at the register was very disrespectful and argumentative after 5-10 seconds of confusion over a single can of paint. I even apologized (not totally in wrong but I was trying to be nice because it’s Saturday morning) and she kept being mean and telling me how I “cut her off” after trying to explain why there was an issue. Note once I explained, she found the can in 30 seconds…Bizarre experience.Hope she had better day and treated other customers with a warmer attitude.

I never thought I would be reviewing a paint store. I normally go to Home Depot, but came here because we found several SW-specific colors we liked (& because the team doing our painting prefers SW) Not only was the guy working here super nice and friendly, he rushed mixing some paint samples for me because I had sleeping babies in the car. I sat outside until he waved to me. I've gone back to this location several times over the years and they never disappoint.

Don't bother trying to place an order in advance for pick up. They will likely lose the order and make excuses for why they haven't prepared it.
