The Howell Mill store in Atlanta was staffed by one very kind and professional young man last Sunday October 22nd. He took the time to figure out what color I was talking about by researching all my past samples and then mixed it. I went in the store less than 2 minutes before closing and this is what makes my experience there so memorable. I was never rushed or felt like I was keeping him from closing on time.

Boy I wish I had read the other reviews sooner. This weekend was my last visit to this store I have been using it for years because I live in the neighborhood behind it, but the prices are just astronomical, and I am not willing to pay them anymore. I went to Benjamin Moore down the street and paid half of what this store tried to charge me.

Total crooks at this store. Went in for 2 gallons of paint today and was told the total was $168!! I questioned it to give them a moment to correct their obvious mistake because I just purchased 3 gallons of the same thing the Friday before and the total was $119.00. All they wanted to do was keep asking for my phone number, so I left and went to the store on 10th street. Out the door for $39.36 per gallon. Unbelievable. Yes, I want to talk to someone from corporate.

I was in the store today and the young that was at the counter did not look up or acknowledge me when I walked AT ALL! She was in the middle of a conversation with another young lady and continued until I stood there and made eye contact. Even then you would think she stop and say hello. No, she went on until she was good and ready! When she was finished I walked up she seemed annoyed because I interrupted her conversation! Where on earth do you find these people! I would think one needed basic customer service skills to work in a position Such as this!! I have managed hundreds of people in my career, and this young lady should be fired! I will never revisit this location!

It has been hard trying to pick paint colors out for the last year. However, I was in the area and decided to stop in and purchase some more paint samples and I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received and how the sale associate Beonka took the time to help me. I greatly appreciate her taking the time to listen as well as make suggestions regarding paint colors and formulas. Job well done and I wish her all the best in the future.

Just dawned on me. Paint is not better. Customer service terrible. Hours not convenient. Why have I been coming to this place?Called at 5 pm trying to get 2 gallons paint in semigloss to finish project. First store [rudely] said they did have any. Really. No semigloss. At all. In any paint. Right. Second store also said the didn't have any. I asked for 5 gallon instead. Suddenly found the two gallons I needed [I guess mixing 2 gallons easier than 5 gallon]. Arrived at 6:00 and 30 seconds. Literally not 6:01. Nope can't come in.Went to Home Depot and got treated with a smile. One coat. Done.Don't keep going here like I did. No need.
