I got here on the 23rd of May and the kitchen staff is rude Mr.A that's over the kitchen has a sassy attitude. Although I should be grateful I think it's a little dramatic to tell me drink water if I didn't want a diet cola. Now, I understand if I had touched the cola drink but, I didn't I requested a different flavor and he got smart.

This place suppose to help with getting out of homeless. No connections to housing or even to host events for housing. The food is not healthy. I found plastic. Hostle environment. Don't use the right protocols of covid-19. This place needs to be inspected!

I do not recommend coming here, if you are on the family side. they treat you like you are the kid, and they constantly have a problem with any and everything. I'm pregnant, and they don't care to even fix the AC thats been out for a month on the family side where new borns and children have to sleep in 90° rooms , expect physically injured people to walk around like nothing is wrong with them but the AC on the man and woman side works fine. They keep telling us it's gone to get fixed but they don't do nothing but sit at the desk reminding people of the rules and regulations. It seems as if they only come to do they jobs rather then helping you get out the situation. It's hot, they kick everyone out in the heat with the kids. My 3 year old has heat bumps cause we have to leave early and all day and think coming back at 2 is a courtesy instead of four but the other side comes in earlier. We only been here for some weeks, and they already trying to find a reason to write us up if we simply ask to get something to make our children cooler while they sleep. But it's our fault cause we put ourselves in a situation to get help with housing assistance like people choose to struggle. They put God in it but The Lord wouldn't treat you like this what's so ever and will kick you out if you complain about things you can help them with unless it's their idea that's when they care. I may even get kicked out for doing this but hey i guess that's what people of God do here.

Don't ever work here especially in the kitchen area and they have bipolar people that work in the kitchen that have mental and emotional issues

They charge people to stay there. The people who serve breakfast don't come to work and that means we don't get breakfast and the only thing the lady at the front desk can say is have a back up plan. The money that I paid for the week was my back up plan

Went here today on Friday may 3rd. I drove 45 min. Before I got there I called she said there was a bed available. She said first come first serve. I get there and she starts to question me about a tb shot, a homeless referral I told her I didn't have those things available. Some other person called on the phone that was working, and she hung up and told me that they no longer had a bed. I was turned away..So I guess you have to be working...

Decent shelter. Beds are comfortable. Clean inside the dorms but some employees are rude and arrogant. Lady Riley or lady Trimble will not support you if you have issues. The ladies will not protect innocent people. Good at kicking folks out. The staff are stealing money because they make homeless people pay cash money per week or per month.
People don't get back the correct amount of money when they depart early.
They have certain people who they like and don't like. The ladies should be fired.
Some guys who sleep there are crazy and got mental issues. Some guys be too loud at night and staff ladies don't care. Phones up loud and talking too much. Managers don't really care.
The shower room got moldings and need to be detailed and upgraded.
The food team don't put enough food on the trays. Feed people like how you feed kids in middle school. Decent quality of food but they are stingy.Complain about money problems and other problems.
Government officials has given a lot of shelters big money so don't let staff people lie to you when they say shelters have no funds.
There are shelters out there way better than Salvation Army on Lucky Street.
White professional employees who got the talent, have the best chances to make it a better place for all races.
The managers are unfit and I am not racist because I am a black American.
There is a white tall guy who are racist and he don't like working with black citizens.
I did talk to corporate in 2023 about the shelter problems.

This is a terrible place. I got a referral from my attorney and my judge and the mental health lady in jail an they wanted me to pay for a bed because they didn't have any re-enter beds for felons at all. This business is a scam because they can't afford to house or live a functioning recovery life like they claim they say. I was a full dedicated member at there NA meeting and decided to give them a try especially since I doted my I crossed my t's with the justice system into re-entering society. I'm familiar with this same program an across the state an there no we're near as trifling and sickening and money. I will be heading up the Better Business Bureau to shut it down.

Some guys who sleep there are crazy and got brain type issues . Some guys have their cell going off too many hours of the night.The shower room got moldings and need to be detailed and upgraded.The food team don't put enough food on the trays. Feed people like how you feed kids in middle school. Decent quality of food but they just don't put a lot on the plates.. Complain about money problems and other problems.. No excuses..The shelter got money. Government officials has given a lot of shelters over 1 million..
