I visited this complex on more than one occasion. I actually spoke with someone that last time I was there and left my name and number. This has been over the course of 2 years. I have sent emails inquiring, I’ve left my contact information when I visited in person. I have called and I’m not getting anywhere. I would love to live here, it’s convenient and affordable. But seeing as I can’t get a response, I guess that’s a sign of how I would be treated if I actually lived here. Needless to say, my experience was horrible so far and I’m not even a resident there.

In the great words of Michelle Obama “When they go low, we go high”. It’s important, when you truly desire something & feel it’s aligned for you” that you settle for nothing less than your desires! While my original experience was interestingly disappointing for reason we may never know, the property manager went above and beyond, Oretica was friendly, well spoken, graceful, and professional. I am in a transitional space that requires some well extend grace and she provide that and so much more. While I extended all of my gratitude in person, I’m a thorough person and wanted it to be know that there was not only a change in experience but also change in staff ! All within three days. Thank you again Ortecia.Original Experience on 8/25/2023 (1 star)Let’s talk about the lack of professionalism, lackadaisical attitude, and overall rude behavior of “this my last day Santana” and I can’t seem to find her voice “Ms. Sharon”. Overall, this experience was very disappointing especially because I was specifically referred to the property by representatives IN THE company to this property! Imagine my disdain to not only NOT have been greeted but to have practically been dismissed all within 8 minutes of interaction. I arrived approximately 9:50, walked in spoke “Greetings” and neither women spoke. I stood in the threshold for 45 seconds before Santana asked “How can I help you” and I advised I was looking for a unit her response was “we are 100% occupied and we don’t do waiting list” and went back to working. When I inquired for the manager, Ortecia, Sharon said she not here, and when I ask for her email she ignored me. When I asked again, she lackadaisically wrote it down which by the time she wrote it, the individual who referred me already provided it. To cherry this terrible sundae of customer service, when I asked for their names Santanas response was “Who are you and why are you asking” in which I had to explain to her that information was irrelevant because as customer service providers, they should be providing a level of care regardless of who was asking . She then stated, well it’s my last day. As if that’s a reason to be rude. My displacement with all of this is the simple fact I was referred by someone within the company because they knew units were available AND because they lived and worked on the property. Nonetheless, I wished them blessed day and well wishes, Santana decided to wave me off like I stole her bike with her puppy in it. Do better. There are way worst jobs and assisting people into housing doesn’t fall on the spectrum of complicated.

The units are no longer kept up. They are old, carpet is old (you can literally pull it up and see through the floor). Roaches. I had several issues in my unit that were serious; management refused to address. They expected me to simply go off their word which i was subpar at best. It’s clear the original owner sold these units to money hungry investors who don’t care about residents. If you care about your health, air quality, and safety don’t move here not worth the risk. In addition, they no longer have security and their contractors don’t have any tact. The manager Ortecia Scarborough should be fired! She’s rude and she thinks she can speak with residents’ as if she’s doing them some favor (unprofessional on so many levels).

Me and my twin brother and our family was inquiring about an apartment at retreat at Edgewood from the time I talked to the assistant manager Plus leasing agent they both have been very very respectful very very professional and I want to give them both a big big shout out we need more people like them I pray to God that we will be moving there soon throughout the whole conversation and seeing one of them apartment the apartment/town home look so amazing on the inside and outside Columbia at retreat at Edgewood did a amazing job right now I am living at Columbia at Capital view I like being here but then I don't. I really like Columbia at retreat at Edgewood Columbia at retreat at Edgewood have so much to offer like the amenities down to having a washer and dryer and each of all the units to the property manager I want you to know the staff at Columbia at retreat at Edgewood are so so amazing please give them a big big raise. They deserve it. I love for to moving there very very soon. Aka I love Columbia at retreat at Edgewood. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Passing the area it was a must I find out the requirements. The area was super nice, quiet, and beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and was open to answering my questions and emailing me additional requirements. Hopefully something opens up soon because I can definitely see me and my little one living comfortably in this neighborhood.

Nice affordable apartments if were well kept or had different leasing management. There is no trash container's on the property (It's Valid Trash Pickup Service) You must have your trash in a bag on the porch between 7-10pm each night. They don't pick up boxes, furniture or anything that's not in a trash bag. And some nights, they don't pick up at all.The leasing office agents could have better attitudes or at least a better understanding of their jobs. Maintenance isn't all that great, They state they have security......but don't! They give out parking passes to the tenants, but it doesn't matter because people in surrounding houses/air BnB's take up the residents parking and nothing is done. Otherwise......they are decent

I called the complex once and spoke with the property manager. She was so professional, polite and knowledgeable. I've been calling around a lot looking for availability and she has been the most friendly. Although there was nothing available with the information I gave her she was able to shed a lot of useful light to my situation. I appreciate and enjoyed speaking with her. She gave me her name twice it sounded like she said Paula but she's great

It's really quite and people aren't hanging around outside. It's not too big that you won't know pretty much everyone who lives there, maybe not personally but you will know who lives there from who don't. The units are nice inside and out..
