REI — My favorite ‘go to’ recreational store. They have a bit of everything for the great outdoors and I love
their clothing, sleeping bags, backpacks Cotopaxi/Osprey my fav, trail shoes, Kayaks and endless selection of tents, supplies, etc!
A must visit… chop, chop!

AWFUL!! Come to this store if you want to experience dismissive attitude and discrimination. I would like to share my experience publicly to prevent similar incidents from affecting others. I visited the store to find a pair of shoes for walking and casual use. An elder Caucasian saleswoman at the footwear section interrupted me while I was describing my needs and said, "NOBODY CARES ABOUT WALKING," and then turned away after she urged me to choose from the running shoes. In contrast, she was engaging in friendly conversations with another pair of customers, a white lady and her daughter. She actively inquired about their needs and maintained a pleasant demeanor, and even after the mother and daughter had made their decisions, the saleswoman continued to chat with them, while I was completely ignored for over ten minutes (I was trying to get a smaller size and a gentleman helped me at the end).

Maybe this REI is just larger than mine is back home, but I could've spent two hours in this store. They have a big resupply section and everything is well organized. The rest of the store has many extra products I enjoyed looking at.

Bo in the shoe department was a wealth of knowledge and helped me find the perfect pair of trail shoes today. She also helped my boyfriend find some boots and turned us on to becoming REI members! We will definitely be shopping at REI more now that we are members and get that 10% back at the end of the year!
