My husband and I have been patients of this office for many years. Last week I called Dr Banks assistant, Arlene, for a follow up appointment for a blood test to check the progress of a drug prescribed for prediabetes. This is a fasting test. She told me I could come in at 2 pm in two weeks. When I asked for a morning appointment, she said “I’ll have to ask Dr Banks”
When I tried in vain to make my own appointment, I was told that I was blocked from making an appointment and a manager would call me. No call ! I tried again with the same results! After leaving other distressed messages, I was told that I was discharged from the practice. There was no way to protest. I have since received a formal letter dated the day after my initial encounter with Arlene stating my discharge.
The staff doesn’t care about patients and the level of care I got was abismal.

First visit today and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Herzog was absolutely incredible and his staff was very courteous and helpful as well. So happy this practice was recommended to me.

I’ve been a patient here for 25 plus years. They are helpful and prompt to requests of all sorts.

The doctors are wonderful. The office staff is clearly not engaged. The medical assistants do not return calls nor do they communicate test results accurately.

I have been going to this practice for years but over the last couple years their office support has gotten terrible. They do not send records to doctors they refer you to And it ended up costing me $3000 for a procedure that the new Doctor ultimately said if he had reviewed the records earlier He would not have recommended. They've messed up my wife's billing by charging her for a lab test that was never done and took almost a year to get it corrected. And now most recently I called for an appointment that my Doctor's nurse said I needed within 30 days, Schedule the appointment with their office for March 6th, called on March 5th to confirm Which primary care physicians of Atlanta front office did confirm that it was 8:45 AM on March 6th. I show up 30 minutes early only to be told I was wrong and the appointment was May 6th, But as I said they confirmed it the day before. I got upset about their error and their response has been to fire me from their practice. Which isn't so much of a problem because after that mess up I was already looking for a new Doctor. But seems to be a common problem by reading all these one star reviews I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Thank you to all of the office staff that make my visit to see Dr Cestero efficient, timely, and smooth. It’s a large office, and the office staff has to be efficient to keep things moving and sick people seen.Thank you especially to Tammy who is superlative, helpful to both patients and staff. She was amazing in taking time out to resolve my insurance issue quickly.

Their 2.6 star rating is, once again, well-earned.

I definitely do not recommend this doctor/group. This was my first and last visit to Dr Cesteros. I called to make an appointment and explained I was on Medicare and had a supplement policy as well. I also explained that I did not want to incur a bill since Medicare covered a wellness check. Their response was that they accepted Medicare and it would be no problem. The appointment was on October 17. I received a bill in the mail for $175 on December 4th. It would have been covered by Medicare if they followed the Medicare rules. I called Medicare, and they said that the doctor conducted tests that were not medically necessary, and they denied the claim. My supplement stated the same thing. Medicare told me there were other charges that I have not yet been billed for that were not covered and I called Primary Care Physicians billing department. The billing department said that I should expect a total of $320 in charges that I would be expected to pay. I wonder why they wouldn’t tell me these things prior to my appointment. I do not expect to pay these expenses because I was misled. I have never left a bill unpaid in my life but this will be the first. This was my first visit to this doctor and it will be my last. I wish I had checked the Google reviews before making the appointment because I now see they get 2.6 stars. I’m very upset and I feel like I’ve been taking advantage of as a Medicare patient. I do not recommend these doctors for Medicare patients. Sounds to me like they’re working the system to live a highlife. I contacted Primary Care Physicians this morning and they said I should’ve contacted the in-house billing department so they transferred me I got a voicemail. No one has returned my call.

I had been going to this practice for about five years. On my last visit they filed my insurance incorrectly and sent it to the wrong company. I spent six months trying to resolve this. Each time I called the staff was rude and condescending. I spoke with Keisha and she said she was in her car and was about to get in an accident so she would call me back. She never did. I tried to reach Jodi several times and she never called back either. All I was trying to do was get their practice paid and paid accurately. I even offered to submit it to insurance myself but they never provided me the diagnostic codes needed. After all this they subsequently send me a letter saying they can no longer serve my medical needs. I then went and looked at all of the reviews and I see that my experience is rather common with this practice. Next time I will look at the reviews in advance.

There are different physicians at this place. From my own experience I recommend the place highly: reception, lab work and blood drawing, physicians assistants and my own doctor, Dr. Banks. I have been going there for over 2 years now. Waiting time has never been over 20 minutes. Hope this helps others.

I really enjoy my primary doctor but the front desk needs training in customer service . Sat waiting for 1 hour with no one remotely interested to let me know why the delay. But, Dr. and his nurse turned it around

I have been coming to Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta for more than 20 years, as I really like Dr. Adams. However, the front office staff needs some training in customer service, as they always seem to be in a bad mood.

I've been a patient here for many years, and through two PCPs. The only reason I give this place two stars is because I've been reasonably happy with my doctor. The staff is rude, lazy, and I'm done with the attitude ... Whenever I upload any kind of results, like a positive Covid test, they become incensed ... not the doctor, but the staff ... If you can, stay far away from this place. 12 years here ... I've had enough.

Billing is questionable with this office. My husband had a physical exam and none of his lab work was covered. Our insurance covers annual exams and the lab work related to the exam. I understand that labs beyond the basic we may be charged for but it's odd that NONE of his labs were covered. My husband left a message through the portal requesting a coding review. Our plan administrator, Lab Corp and I have left separate voicemails. We keep getting the same response that the nurse is out of the office. I'm wondering if this person actually exist. None of us have yet to receive a response. The doctor was fine but we wouldn't recommend this practice because its been a headache trying to resolve this bill. Even Lab Corp rep agreed that physical exam labs should be covered.
