Decided to stop here to get my dog a haircut since I was too busy to do it myself. Never been to a Petco but was needing something convenient and in the neighborhood. Instead, they were only able to do a face trim which was fine. However, the pet stylist Shanteelah "Teelah" does not deserve a 1 star. I asked for a teddy bear facial cut and got a botched triangle instead and his hair above his eyes shaved to the skin. The stylist is not a certified technician, but she stated to me, "I'm allowed to do facial cuts (the most important part of a dogs groom) but not a full groom although I know how to a full groom. I have do go through the training and get certified." I proceeded by asking her, "Are you sure you know how to cut a teddy bear dog's face? " I explained my experience with groomers which is why I (former cosmetologist) cut my dogs hair myself. She said, "YES" I know how. Complete DENIAL!! My dog looked better before I brought him. The wash/blowout looked like they dried him without brushing. I guess the other stylist was a trained groomer had to blow my dog out to remove the curls but couldn't do anything with the now triangle mouth my dog has. can cut a teddy bear facial cut but didn't have the time. On top of this I was charged $36 after complaining about the cut. The excuse was that I'm passing for the shampoo. I didn't bring him for va shampoo. I brought him for the cut and clip his nails. The cutting of the face included the shampoo. The service should have been free with the untrained, uncertified stylist!! Please take this review serious. Take your dog to trained groomers that are trustworthy. I don't know about the other stylist, but Teelah is an amateur when it comes to dog grooming services. I will be also reaching out to their corporate office about this experience as well as the manager George who was rude and didn't take accountability for unprofessional experience. This service brought out the worse in me. He didn't apologies for the terrible service received but instead had an attitude and stated, " I already know what's going on I've been notified as well as the salon manager." Absolute poor customer service and wired vibe by the manager.

Dear Petco Management,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on April 23, 2024, between 3-5pm. My experience was marred by lies, falsehoods, and a clear lack of professionalism.
Firstly, during my visit, your staff claimed that my furbaby had fleas. Distressed by this news, I promptly took her to the vet for a thorough examination, only to discover that there were no indications of such findings. This blatant misdiagnosis is not only unacceptable but also deeply concerning. It raises serious questions about the competence and integrity of your staff.
Furthermore, I was shocked to learn that my furbaby's anal glands were not checked during the service, despite it being a standard request I made and staff advised they would take care of it. This oversight is not only neglectful but also potentially harmful to my pet's health.
Adding insult to injury, I was charged several additional fees during the service, which left me feeling exploited and taken advantage of. As a loyal customer, I expect transparency and fair pricing, neither of which was evident during my recent visit.
In light of these egregious errors and the overall lack of professionalism, I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation. I expect a full refund for the erroneous fees charged, as well as a sincere apology for the distress and inconvenience caused to both me and my furbaby.
Furthermore, I strongly encourage you to review your training protocols and ensure that all staff members are adequately trained to provide accurate diagnoses and adhere to standard procedures.
I sincerely hope that you will take my concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

Our family followed Ashley T from Petsmart to Petco Buckhead location. She’s a GREAT groomer! She takes care of our family dog(s) as her own. She consistently delivers excellent customer service!

Please avoid and go to more experienced groomers. This was my dogs first grooming and while dogs are very anxious and wiggly during a new experience, there is no reason they couldn't have brushed her out and made her look presentable. They also told me they cut her nails when the vet cut them 2 days ago and had the audacity to put a bow on her. Very disappointing. The manager should be ashamed for allowing a dog to be presented back to a customer in worse condition then when they arrived. She didn't even come out to acknowledge the poor service.

NO!!!!!!! I didn't know what was wrong with my baby for a WEEK. I took him here for his first bday and the lazy, attitude filled groomer DAMANTE harmed my child. I am beyond distressed, typing this as I take him to hospital! PLEASE DON'T. the groomer who took care of him the first time is gone, you WILL NOT have a specific groomer. If he was going to have an attitude he could've at-least done the job right. Petco will NEVERRRRRRR see me or any other animal I own. Not even a freaking fish. They KILLED my first furbaby and I'm praying that haven't done it again. This company is at the bottom for a reason! I wouldn't go to ANY location.
