Well I've seen all the bad reviews and haven't received my invoice yet, but really I had the smoothest experience this morning, with a super friendly young team, relaxed vibe, and professional handling.

I very rarely would ever write a negative review for any business, but this is very deserving. The doctors and nurses and staff were great. The billing department is borderline corrupt which is consistent with the previous reviews. I would not use them again in any circumstance simply because of this.

I was scheduled for a routine colonoscopy earlier this week late Monday morning and was asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to my scheduled procedure. All of my documentation was completed in advance. I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 minutes as my scheduled procedure time had come and gone. I spoke to a staff receptionist to ask if there was a delay. She informed me that my doctor was not feeling well and was running 30 minutes behind.I continued to wait another 30 minutes and requested to speak to the office manager, Drew. I let Drew know how long I had been waiting and he informed me there were complicated cases that morning and this accounted for my delay (different explanation from what I was told by another staff member). I asked Drew why patient's aren't made aware of delays or announcements or contacted to delay their arrival. He really had no answer. For the most part with these procedures, patients have not eaten solid food in 24-48 hours, and have not had any food or liquid by moth since midnight due to anesthesia risks. He did not appear too concerned. In fact, he went on to tell me that I still had 2 patients ahead of me. By the time I was brought back for my colonoscopy, my start time was delayed by 2 1/2 hrs. I sat for an additional 30-40 minutes in the pre-procedure bay. Nobody seemed too concerned about what effect this might have on a patient.Having finished my procedure, I was told by nursing my results were normal only to be told by the doctor shortly after that my bowel prep had not worked well, and therefore, the test was limited in diagnosing any concerns. Further, as I was recovering, I heard another physician be made aware that a patient was running late. His reply, " If they aren't here when I'm ready for them, cancel them." Apparently delays don't work both ways...To add insult to injury, my wife was asked to pick me up at a given time determined by the GI staff. She was harassed and verbally accosted by the security services to exit the waiting area. Yet we can wait close to 3 hours and nobody is too concerned. This practice and its offices/endoscopy center clearly lacks communication skills. At no time was there a conscious effort to communicate delays with consistent explanation nor accurate procedure results. It would not have taken much to offer some basic explanation and empathy through this process. All we were subjected to was an overcrowded waiting room with may patients standing due to "delays". For what it's worth, there were at least 4 or 5 other patient's that approached the staff with the same concerns...Very frustrating experience. Lost a lot of confidence in my doctor, this practice, and it's ability to "care" for it's patients.

Doctor was good .billing was horrible!! !They try to bill you what your insurance company contract doesn’t pay. Meaning you aren’t yourself responsible because the insurance paid your bill in full. Before you pay a bill make sure you call your insurance company firST. Then they send you to collections!!!! Be careful!!!

Terrible Experience I was a patient of Dr. Anand. Had an Endoscopy and called for 4 WEEKS to see what my lab results were from the biopsy. Called again today and finally received a letter in my portal, dated almost 2 WEEKS ago. In addition, there was no instruction as to a plan to alleviate symptoms (other than 1 medication) nor any discussion concerning potential cause(s) for my symptoms. In addition, my mouth was very sore from the procedure. And although a biopsy may be protocol with this procedure, this was not communicated to me.We trust our bodies to physicians and nurses in hopes there is an effort to communicate to the patient the treatment plan and procedures. So I remain confused, frustrated and now angry.

I will give zero stars if it is an option. Read carefully here, the amount of time i spend on calling their billing over and over because mistakes they made is just not worth it. It made my family really miserable. I will give details on the mistakes on billing to show you how careless the firm has been. I have escalated multiple times to the billing department but nothing has changed. My husband was referred and had 2 colonoscopy here in one year. They have been sending out the wrong bills very consistently, either they filed with insurance wrong and try to charge us with the full amount; or they sent us bills that indicate different amounts than our insurance shows, and we are advised not to pay by insurance. I have called them at least 3 times and their responses were that they made a mistake and they will put a note in the system and send out the correct bill. But the correct bill never comes, the wrong one keeps coming up until one day i receive a notice that they are about to send us for collection over a bill that was wrong. If i can do calculation on how much stress this has caused my family and the time i spend on the call * dollars/hour that i am making while working. They would have own me thousands of dollars now.So bottom line, if you have read the whole review, understand the aftermath you have to deal with if this is the place you want to go with.

Good staff but the worst billing office on the planet. My insurance company paid 100% but they kept sending me bills. I made numerous phone calls and they assured me it would be taken care of. Yeah, they took care of it by sending it to a bill collector.

“The one where there is a complete failing grade for efficiency and communication!” Never again. Signs actually state that if they are behind they will give you courtesy of communication. At 10:2.0 I had to ask what was happening with my 10:00 procedure time. No courtesy for patients at all.

I went there Aug 4 2021 for an endoscopy and the nurse tried to put my IV on the inside of my wrist. I told her not to put it there and she didn't listen to me. I ended up getting an infection at the site and had to have physical therapy to learn how to use my hand again. She said more than once she was done torturing me. I incurred several hundred dollars worth of medical bills and they will not reimburse me for them. I will not go back there and I don't recommend that anyone goes there if a practice isn't going to reimburse for medical expenses incurred on there error.

First class and super efficient. I’m so sorry I don’t remember her name but the lady who checks you in brings a smile to my face every time. Being called sweetie or my love isn’t something you ever expect in a doctors office and it just sets the tone of the rest of the experience. ❤️Although the staff seems to rotate on a regular basis they are all professional and extremely courteous. They get you in, make sure to cover all the questions and concerns and move you through the procedure like clockwork every single time.Thank you all for your kindness and care!

I have had multiple endoscopic procedures done at several locations including two at this site. The personnel from the Anesthesia department, to the clinical staff to the gastroenterologists are all exceptional. The issues that most individuals complain about are ubiquitous in medicine. Sorry if you have to stay and be available to the physicians and nurses who will convey important info to you. All centers require this. Insurance concerns are important to understand and this is also a common complaint of patients. It is incumbent on the patient to be aware of their policy’s requirements, except in an emergency, that’s on you. Over all this is an excellent and safe facility

I must admit after reading so many negative reviews about Atlanta Gastroenterology (Northern Crescent Endoscopy), I was very skeptical about having my procedure done with this facility. However; when I first arrived, I was nervous as heck, my stomach was in knots, actually all the way up until I met Frank, my Anesthesiologist. Frank was very nice and pleasant and he didn’t mind me talking his head off, due to nervousness. Talking to Frank took my mind off what was about to be the worse nightmare of my life or so I thought. About 2 minutes later, In walks DR. Peji, very nice I must admit. She introduced herself and assured me that she would be taking good care of me and she did!! I woke up in recovery, like nothing had ever happened. The first person I saw when I opened my eyes was Helen, she was very nice to me and I really appreciate her. Thank you to Atlanta Gastroenterology, DR. Peji and all the staff for being so pleasant and patient, from the front office check-in to the young lady that wheeled me out to my ride. I’ll see you all in 10 years!!

I love this practice. Myself, my husband and my daughter have all had colonoscopies there. The staff is courteous and professional. Most important, they made me feel safe. I wish every experience in the medical world could feel like this.
