We had an amazing time at @spelman_college for viewing of the #threaded exhibit. It is amazing to think of the ingenuity, beauty, and social aspects of the black quilting experience. This exhibit is both a combination of black history, art, and culture. It was absolutely amazing, free, and ofcourse the sheer excitement of being on the campus of the historic Spellman College can't be understated.#thingstodo #thingstodoatl #thingstodoatlanta #blackatlanta #blackatl #atlantathings #spellmancollege #hbcupride #threaded #quilting #t_vfooduniverse2024 #T_vfooduniverse #fridayadventures #adventuring #atlantablogger #blackpride #museum #museumlovers #blackart #atlantainfluencer #atlantavibes #cityofatlanta #vibes2024 #blackhistorymonth #blackhistoryeveryday #goodvibes #blackatlanta #visitatlanta #art #artofinstagram #blackartofinstagram

Antisemitic art directorEdit: you claim this is untrue. Why is your director posting misinformation about Israel and Gaza immediately after October 7 and blocking me on social media for correcting her? I’m a middle eastern Jew and Israeli. Why is it so hard to listen to my voice?

The Harmonia Rosales Master Narrative exhibit is absolutely breathtaking. The exhibit moved me to tears while the stories unfolded. My favorite piece in this exhibition is Beyond the Peonies, 2021 (Oil on Canvas Mounted on Wood Panel). I would share a picture of this mesmerizingly beautiful work but, I strongly encourage everyone to visit the exhibit. The Harmonia Rosales exhibition is truly beautifully curated. I am so thankful I could visit Atlanta to see this exhibit. Thank you Spelman College Museum of Fine The Arts.

On the Spelman Campus. Never new. The American Black Portraits will be here until June 30th. It's a must see. I did see younger adults touching. There's no sign. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE ART. It's peaceful and calming place. There's are benches. Just a couple. Nice place to and feel our history.

My family and I enjoyed our campus tour during spring break. The museum had paintings on exhibits from Amy Sherald. This is the artist that painted a portrait of the former first lady Michelle Obama. The staff at the campus bookstore was able to answer our question about where the name "Spelman" came from. It was good to hear something about the history of this storied college.
