I thought Grady was going to be a good hospital but man was I wrong. I can't say all of the ER staff don't care but the majority of them don't. My gf has been dealing headaches for a few weeks now come in to Grady today 9-9-24. She was crying and rocking from the pain.once she gets to triage they ask her about her stomach she tells them no I came for head aches the nurse that mistakenly put that in her registration report had the nerve to get an attitude rolling her eyes just ridiculous ma'am you made a mistake own and fix it simple. Just unnecessary behavior people already don't feel good and you have to the nerve to get an attitude because of your mistake.

Grady has a world, renowned reputation of being one of the top trauma hospitals. ? I can tell you experientially that the employees and facility are top-notch. They serve the city of Atlanta unlike any other medical facility. I personally know one of their ambulance drivers and he has very positive opinions as an employee as well. Amazing blessing to the people of Atlanta ???

Tried to make a schedule with a Dermatologist Dr. Orenstein. The department doesn’t answer new patient calls you have to choose existing patient in order to talk to someone. Finally got a person for appointments she said she’s not available for next couple months so I asked if they can leave a message for next available appointment she said I would have to call back to schedule. They don’t provide call back when schedule is available. Understand why the Bad reviews they need to hire new staffs. Ridiculous how it seems they don’t want to work or explain.

The last thing you want to do is trust your physical health to anyone in the employ of this kind of system of "health". because under this "system" people/patients don't slip through the cracks, they are forced through them. A person whose goal is to be well and do well, even if it's just for themselves, is often, under this "health system" dismissed, discredited, disregarded or all 3. This often leaves patients depressed, disregarded, disgruntled, disheartened, disenfranchised and even disinterested (in participating in and/or continuing their own health). Grady as a whole is to blame for its own reputation. Often lying to patients. They do directly lie to patients, but lying "Grady style" comes in many forms, i.e. failure to follow through, failure to admit when they are wrong, "hold on a moment." ... disconnected!. When challenged or called out, there is a resistance or unwillingness to help you further without excess negativity or making you wait longer than necessary. At Grady, the lack of empathy translates into all the above and is inclusive of being talked down to, being stereotyped, misjudged and in some cases misdiagnosed. Their slogan, "I wouldn't be here without Grady" is a testament to their own hubris and knowing they are "too big to fail." "Atlanta can't live without Grady." Because Grady knows it is needed, they can walk around smelling their own nitrous soaked draws.
Grady is right, I wouldn't be depressed, disregarded, disgruntled, disheartened, disenfranchised and even disinterested. I wouldn't feel marginalized, unheard, unwanted and uncared for.
And don't get me started on "Patient Experience"

I wish I could leave a Zero. They killed my Momma and they didn't tell my Step-dad that she was gone until hours later. They told him he couldn't see her body after she passed. My Sister and I was on the Highway heading to ATL when my Stepdad called around 8 something on Sunday Morning. They told him she died around 10 :30am once he started questioning them, But didn't tell him until almost 1 that afternoon I will get Justice for my Momma !!

We are in ICU because my husband felll down the stairs and hit his head and neck. The care from the nurses is top notch. The actual people or doctors in charge of the treatment plan are sorely lacking in communication to the patient and family regarding any test information, feedback from procedures done and even introducing themselves so we know who we need to reference with questions. The nonchalant attitude regarding basic communication of health treatment plans is unprofessional and it appears no one checks the trauma team to improve their serious lack of keeping me informed. I have been here everyday since my husband has been in ICU and it is appalling that I have not met with a doctor to discuss a treatment plan for such a serious condition of broken neck bones. I’m amazed with the blatant lack of respect given to the patient in room 7B43 right now. I have asked to speak to a hospital administrator and no one has bothered to respond. Who do you have to talk to around here to get simple questions asked about my husband’s condition. Grady has good management care however again lack of communication to the patient is paramount and Grady’s trauma team would do well to do better when it comes to speaking with the patient and family about the diagnosis and prognosis. Please consider this my 3rd attempt of asking someone with knowledge and authority to explain when they will start treating my husband or why they haven’t begun. I’m still waiting for answers that should have been given each day we’ve been here. I’ve never seen doctors who don’t meet with you and ignore your requests for what is the plan today. What are the goals? Not one doctor has had the decency to inform me. I’m very angry, confused and concerned about this situation with my husband at Grady ICU.

Dr.Jonathon Howard is not only well spoken, educated and kind but actively made sure my mom was getting the best treatment. Grady called to see why she wasn't resuming chemo and its because Dekalb County Jail hasn't been treating her which is a death sentence. Dr. Howard called to let them know shes a cancer patient and we are forever grateful! Also grateful for the the entire Oncology Department. Your in great hands at Grady with the best doctors!

Horrible horrible horrible, I had to leave Grady hospital's ER because they were so rude and disrespectful. I was there from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. waiting to be seen. There registration department at the ER was very very rude. When I walked to my car after waiting so long to go to another ER close to were I was, I found a parking ticket on my car, talk about adding insult to injury. If you can go anywhere else go... Grady is horrible horrible horrible.

Currently pregnant, Staff were very pleasant right through. Would like to say the receptionist in the labor and delivery department was exceptional! She was beyond!! Very heart- warming and caring personality. Right for the job! Nurses were nice even with being under a hectic day.
