I adopted my two cats from this shelter five years ago after a friend suggested a pet would keep me company in the apartment I lived at college.
I’m so blessed and thankful this shelter allowed them to come into my life and for me to be in theirs. The staff were very helpful when I picked my first cat ever- Kylo. It was the first time I’ve ever adopted an animal and they explained the paperwork and shots as well as their history very well and I still have the documents to this day.
When I wanted a second cat for Kylo’s company, I opted for a kitten who could look up to Kylo and grow with us. Bindi has also been a blessing.
It’s been a long time coming and amazing to help give two beautiful animals homes. If I could, I would adopt more because I fell in love with cats even more after adopting my first two.
Thank you for giving these animals a chance at the beautiful life they deserve.
Adopt. Don’t shop. There’s a fur baby out there waiting to be your new family member!

I went to reclaim my pet that was picked up from this facility. long story short a neighbor was supposed to look over my dog and winded up abandoning my brother/mothers dog. i went here with high hopes of finding her. everyone in the facility was sweet except Kris. Her attitude seemed like she did not want to be at work which has nothing to do with a customer and should not affect their experience. she showed no empathy towards my situation. As i was sitting down in front of her station with my back towards her, instead of calling my name she aggressively taps the window to get my attention. i am just the messenger between my mother and brother. not knowing that this place gets many dogs weekly. I told her its possible the dog got picked up between 10/4-10/18. with a nasty attitude she says “ we get 100 dogs a week “ .. how would i know i dont work there. i apologize for not knowing she says “ yeah “ when she brought me back to see the potential dog, there is only two of us me and her. i ask her a question and she says nothing. who else would i be talking to? im trying my best to help my family with thier situation and am treated with this. Kris if you dont like working there nobody is forcing you. quit baby.

On Friday I called in regarding a husky being on a busy highways at 8am, I called for an update around 3pm that same day. To find out the report hasn’t been handled. A clear safety issue for people and the pet. Im not sure if the dog is safe or got off the road but I seen a few road kill that could have been him/her the following day. I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue or the lack of urgency. Awful

I just adopted a Yorkie on Tuesday. I picked him up Friday. He was still in bad shape. He was dirty and had mated hair. The vet that they had there said he had only had dental issues. But when I took him home he had a growth under his chest and his eyes where cloudy. He had thick crust around both eyes. It took me a hour just to get poop off of him.

We had a very positive experience with the staff at the Fulton County Animal Services. All were extremely professional, exceptionally caring and non-judgmental in a situation that can be sad and difficult for someone put into a situation not of there own making. And, the animals well being was of the utmost importance. Thanks to all involved. Job well done.

Somebody took my cat from my own home and took him here. I appreciate the help but people shouldnt kidnap pets from homes without asking if there is an owner. This causes a lot of emotional damage. Please double check if the pet has no owner before taking. They put ny senior blind cat on foster care and is now with some random person making us wait to get him back

I love Fulton County Animal Services. The shelter is ran as efficiently as possible with 450+ dogs under their care at any given time. Staff and volunteers truly care about the wellbeing of the animals here. I’ve been volunteering for about 2 months now and I only wish I started sooner. If you’re contemplating adopting, fostering, donating or volunteering; this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it!

I found three kittens in my back yard and brought them here. I left my wallet home not thinking it was needed to drop the kittens off. I signed in and there were three women behind the counter. They asked for my license which I explained I left at home. They stated I couldn’t leave them there without my ID. I told them I would have to put the kittens back on the street. Two of the women said that’s fine. Way to go Fulton County. Y'all are so caring!!!

I have taken over 7 cats, and they have gotten them adopted, spayed, and uthanized when necessary. Great staff and clinic.
