I applied for a credit card at the suggestion of the banker and was informed that the system was down, but I was assured that a representative would contact me the next day. Unfortunately, I never heard back. After waiting several days, I called to follow up and was once again told that a representative would call me. Despite these promises, I received no further communication. I did finally contact someone and resolved my issue.

We are 4 weeks into trying to close a HELOC loan. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Our representative is arrogant yet can’t give basic information. What a disappointing experience. We have used their mortgage services with great success however.UPDATE. After 2 months we closed. So much misinformation and people with no knowledge it is shocking

They suck!!!! They are absolute @$$holes! Unfortunately we used them to get a home mortgage. We had a match for a better rate but we were close to close so kind of Stu k, they could have gotten the rate and they didn't. I am pissed. Don't use them. They are rotten!

I had trouble parking on 1/28/22 just like several others due to their machine being down and was penalized and charged extra for being forced to use the “lost ticket” function. The person who answered the call from the exit gate was rude and not helpful. How was I overcharged for your faulty machine not giving out tickets!!!?

Absolutely terrible mortgage company. Took my mortgage out with Fidelity before being bought by Ameris. For 7 months I have been trying to get a refund out of my escrow with no luck. I have called been transferred to supervisors whose voicemails are full... sent certified mail.. emailed and sent messages through my online account still without answers or talking to them. Over 2k is owed out of my escrow due to them not being able to do simple math. Also short changed my home owners insurance by $1.31 how do you even do that? Terrible customer service and very rude.

Hey! You're called Ameris now! Lol! Love that you're right across the street from my j-o-b. I didn't realize you had a bank in there! I just thought you were the corporate headquarters that couldn't help me deposit this Girl Scout cookie money! Took a chance and moseyed on over during lunchie. Touch down! Close parking for us, bank patrons! In and out like that! (snapping figures emoji) hmmmm.... makes me wonder if other folks don't know you got a bank in there. Marketing opportunity!!! I'll bill you.

I was a little concerned with the take over from Fidelity, but so far things are still good. It is the same great staff and service is still the best of any bank I have ever used.

I have been with Fidelity for more than a decade, and have multiple business and personal accounts here. I used to rate them a 5, but since Ameris took over, a one is too high for the complete failure Ameris is. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The glowing ratings you see here are from before the Ameris takeover
