I am a returning client after living out of state for the last 16 years. I was pleased to see so many great things: 1) Many of the great stylists from years ago were there still practicing their craft, including Don Shaw himself and Dinitrious, who remembered me from years ago. 2) The salon now has a more intimate setting with only the most talented working there. 3) The colorist Petra got my hair color right the first time doing my hair, which rarely happens for me. 4) Don gave great consideration to my hair type and my concerns and gave me a customized, stylish, and functional haircut and showed me how to style it . 5) The price was reasonable for the high level of quality.
I’ll be back.

Omar has been coloring my hair and doing keratin for several years. He’s always listening to my needs but making suggestions on what may work even better for me. We have become good friends and I enjoy the experience each time. Always a relaxing enjoyable time to take care of me!

I started with Dimitrios 40+ years ago when the salon was located at Park Place and have always been happy with my cut and color. He listens intently and ensures that my hair looks perfectly like we discussed. An added bonus is that it is a rare occurrence that my appointment does not start on time. He is passionate and a perfectionist about his work.

I have been driving to DASS from South Georgia for over 28 years to have Jim Shaw do my hair!!! A 3 hour drive one way is worth it!!! My daughter and I always leave feeling great!!!

melissa is absolutely wonderful. she had to correct a horrible color job from a different high end salon where i saw a senior colorist. it was ridiculously expensive. i expected it to take a few appointments to fix the color but she did wonders on the first visit. in addition to being so much more skilled the cost is a fraction. i thought she miscalculated. it’s a bit of a drive to get here but worth every minute and mile. i could not be more thrilled. it is yes it’s very good. Thank you you thank.

I am extremely unhappy. I went in for a single process hair color. I was a new client with the person doing my hair. There was no discussion about the color. The colorist looked at my hair and literally the next thing I knew i had the color on my head and I was sitting, waiting…It turns out that an old formila was on my records. I am not talking about a year or 2. I believe someone said i last came in 6 years ago and that was the formula that was used.My color looks horrible. I no longer do anything close to what I did 6 years ago and it does not match the ends at all. It didn’t turn out well at all. It does not match my ends at all. My hair is multi colored, looks ridiculous and is no longer a simple, single color that I was very pleased with.It’s unacceptable to not have a discussion with a client.I don’t understand why another client got precedence over me. I was a single process and I didn’t need any more that a 3 minute conversation..Coloring someone’s hair 2-3 levels different is easily recognizable for someone who’s been working for as long as the person that did my hair and again, you don’t go by records from 6 years ago.
