I used this place for my puppy who is pregnant and they were to perform her C section. Similar to another review I just saw, when I called them to let them know some of what my dog was dealing with, a rectal temperature of 94 and throwing up. There was no urgency just “you can bring her in”. Her C-section was scheduled for this morning 6/13. Yesterday 6/12 is when she experienced the low temp and vomiting. I was told they would charge me to do another ultrasound even though her C-section was the next day and we had an ultrasound done last week due to a temp of 97. So they close and low and behold Kash is in active labor ( this is my first time so on top of providing care for a price not just for free, you would think they would educate). I call another animal hospital (love them) and they were very concerned about that low temperature and told me bring her in right away! I got there and there was a puppy stuck in Kash’s birth canal because she had been in labor. My issue is that as a vet if you hear a pregnant dog has a temp of 94 or 95 the response shouldn’t be you can come in if you want. It should be what the animal hospitals was, “that’s very concerning please bring Kash in to be seen a dogs temperature should never be that low” something I had not heard NEITHER time I called Cliftwood. If you’re a vet and you know a normal temp why make it seem like I could bring her in but no urgency, no telling me that temp was something to be worried about, really left it up to me how I wanted to proceed. Which I can respect after giving me ALL INFORMATION such as that temp is really low it should not be that low or whatever real advice they could give. Either way thank you to animal emergency services if sandy springs for delivering Kash’s liter they were all HEALTHY and so is Kash! I think email etiquette and providing clearer direction would go along way with this company and the rating.

I have to honestly say that this veterinarian facility is amazing. Everyone that works there is helpful, warming, and they answer all of your questions/concerns. I highly recommend them!

Our two dogs have been seeing the Dr's at CAH for years. The care has been top notch and they sincerely care about Honey Badger and Chloe.

I’ve been at cliftwood for over 2 years now. My extended family also goes to cliftwood and that’s how I was able to find out about them.
To say they’re amazing is an understatement. I’ve cried tears of sorrow, joy, desperation there and the office staff as well as the doctors and techs have always listened and assisted in areas where I could not when it comes to my fur babies.
Whenever I’ve had an issue with my pets, I’ll call and they’ll always find a way to see me whether that’s squeezing me in for a drop off appointment or seeing me in a room.
Whenever I’ve had a pet emergency after hours that require a vet hospital, like blue pearl, I’ll have a staff member, typically Rebecca, calling me asking me if everything is okay afterwards. That level of sincerity is a rarity.
With a heavy heart, our family has moved to a different area but we will always treasure the experience we’ve had at CAH.
We’ve had so many services there, check ups, biopsies, neutering, reproductive services, non-emergency visits. They’ve been so key on making me understand everything and emailing and updating me.
Thank you CAH from the bottom of our hearts! We (Tom, Jerry, Jax) as well as humans love you!

If you are a first time breeder do not use this veterinary I had my English bulldog c-section done here .After the surgery they said one puppy died which I never saw I was walking behind the doctor trying to get some answers about what to do when I get home all I was told pay the bill on the way out .these people seem to be only interested in money.

The office staff is horrible. Tritia, the new girl is an airhead and the manager Andrea is a female dog for lack of better words.. These 2 staff members sucks at customer service. I called with an emergency only to be challenged by Andrea, the, female dog. Instead of hearing me out, she wanted to argue with everything that I said, which had nothing to do with her. I initially spoke to Tritia which whom I had to explain my reason for calling multiple times. "I came in last week and my dog was seen for an ultrasound and was set for surgery the following week, and she delivered 3 pups over night which have now passed on. My dog is in labor and I need help" The 1st time her reply was and how can I help you?? 2nd she says have you been seen by us before.. and the last time she puts me on hold for Andrea to take over the call. I then explain a 4th time to Andrea who wants to argue and challenge everything. She took everything so personal as if I blamed her for the unfortunate incident. Ive never been met with so much opposition when seeking help. As Im explaining to her whats going on she started talking over me. Then said I screamed at her which I had to explain I do have a disability, but she couldn't hear me because she was talking at the same time as me! She then says why didnt you seek emergency attetnion.. HELLOOOO!! That is why I called them in the 1st place. After I explain about the babies passing she says "we didnt have anything to do with the breeding".. Huh??? I never said you did.. I wish my regular vet was not on vacation. She tells me to come, then calls me back and tells me to go someplace else. Thats when things became ugly. She is very unprofessional and too sensitive to work within the service industry. Also she is not solution oriented, she wants to battle a paying customer.. I arrive at the vet and now the vet is too busy to come out and talk to me because its no telling what she said to her.. But At least you will see this at some point. Thanks for nothing. The only person that did her job was the lady with the jet black hair. Thank you for being proactive and listening. (Sorry, I didnt get her name)

I started to write a bad review to keep people away from my vet! Dr. Kessel and staff are amazing. I’ve never met a better vet. And she’s the preeminent vet in North GA for pregnant dogs, csections, and IVF. We’re luck to be able to take our pets to Cliftwood.

We were referred here for my dog‘s c-section 7/8 weeks ago and my dog and the pups are healthy and doing well. The follow up appointments for my dog has been informative and I’m glad she was handled in good care.

Don't take your dog to this place! I completed the form and told them to administer antibiotics if my dog needed bcuz I would be unavailable during work (I have the instructions in writing) and their negligence ignored it and called my office while I was in a meeting, when I called back, I was told they were out to lunch, so I went back to the vet and as I pulled up. they were walking across the street from lunch. Thwy stated my dog needed antibiotics asap due to his kidney infection. I was livid and reminded them of what I instructed on the form the vet assistant responded with, "oh that's right, we'll do it". I got a call the next morning he died. The vet's excuse was if they had reached me earlier to get permission, they may have been able to save him. The most asinine excuse I've ever heard, inept at its best.
