Was walking to the laundromat in the same parking lot and overheard the owner of the gas station berating a young black woman. He was being very aggressive and racist towards her, over what seemed to be a parking spot. He was mad that she was in the parking spot that he claimed he was entitled to as the owner (there's no indication that the spot "belongs to him") and labeled her as aggressive when she was just upset. Very disappointed as I used to frequent this gas station because it was close to me. It's like every other gas station in the mile radius, anyways. Don't go here or give someone who would willingly berate someone over something that petty your money.

Horrible service! Against my better judgement I went back in with my husband and got the same treatment. The tall guy is super rude. He ask me what do I want now as if I come here everyday. Never in a million years will I ever go to this establishment again. Nasty nasty attitude. They don't deserve my money. Ten more stores that sell the same things.

Underneath it's hard exterior Buddy's is a class A establishment. Besides housing a fine selection of wine and beer these folks actually care about their customers. With the addition of the "fresh food" station I would venture to say Buddy's is a one stop shop, and a staple of the Virginia Highlands community.

Horrible customer service they are rude. I have a service dog. They do not think service dogs are allowed in to there store. They think they're store is an exemption to the service dog laws. They told me they would not even let me talk to their boss to inform them about the service dog laws. If I didn't need my dog I would not even have a service dog. Wish that they had negative ratings on this thing. I don't even give them one star

You should go to this place. It's convenient and clean with a nice selection of items. However, the checkout guys have consistently been rude to me personally. I'm not sure why, so I decided not to go there anymore.

Buddy's has it all! King of Pops started on the corner and you'll always see something interesting inside. Not giving them 5 stars cuz of their high gas prices.

The staff is excellent. I love seeing the same faces here each time I visit. They have a great selection of whatever you could want from a gas station in tobacco, cider, wine, and beer. They also have a great selection of juice and snacks. I love how they remember my face when I come in.

It's not the most glamorous gas station in the world, but the customer service is great! To Buddy's employees: Thank you for being patient, polite and courteous -- and taking these little extra steps to make your patrons happy when something doesn't quite work out.

This used to be my go-to gas station for paying at the pump, but after going inside the store a few times, I received very poor customer service. Two things stood out to me. First, there appear to be no female workers. Next, I have never received a greeting, or a thank you, during transactions. Of course, this is typical for most convenience stores, but a recent purchase motivated this review. When I politely disputed a charge on a recent visit, one of the clerks actually started yelling at me. Due to their employees' unprofessionalism, I will not continue to support this business.
