I received rental assistance from BCM Georgia and Johnathan Putnam was my program coordinator. The property management company that I rent from has always been difficult in the past and I only had 5 days to get all the necessary paperwork completed and approved by both BCM and my property management team. It took a lot of emails and coordinating, but Johnathan was very good about responding to emails and answering my questions. He worked very quickly to get everything done and even went above and beyond by providing a tracking number for the check that went out to the landlord.I am so grateful to BCM Georgia for helping me. In the last five months, I was laid off, my son was shot (he is ok), my car broke down, and I ran out of unemployment. I've been looking for a job and applied everywhere and still have not been able to get anything. It really is hard out here. Especially for someone like me who is new to Georgia and dont really have connections. I am so thankful to God that BCM was able to come through for me.I also want to thank Wykell Brown for responding to the site emails to let me know when BCM was accepting applications. Even though its first come first serve, I appreciate having some idea of when to apply.Again, thank you Johnathan for not treating me like "another number" on the help list. I appreciate the kindness and the efforts you gave to me. Have a blessed day!

Mr. Putman was the one whom assisting me, he is absolutely professional and prompt. He made me feel like family and that he sincerely cared about my situation. Anytime I called him he called right back and always kept his word. and followed up with results. When I called my apartment manager she said that he was "Amazing" her exact words. These are the type of people we need in theses positions. He need a promotion and higher pay because he deserver it! He goes above and beyond to assist, and he do it with kindness.

You are denied for budget assistance because you are low income was the reason I received today, I see you are in a bind but sorry we cannot assist you. I recently had an experience withthis ministry that was supposed to provide assistance to individuals with low income, and unfortunately, my encounter left me feeling deeply disappointed and unsupported. I had turned to this ministry with high hopes, seeking the assistance that I thought could make a significant difference in my life during a challenging period. It's disheartening to encounter such barriers when seeking help from an organization that is meant to provide assistance to those in need. The experience left me questioning the effectiveness and compassion of BCM ministry's approach to helping people facing financial hardship. In a society where income inequality is a pressing issue, it is crucial that organizations like this ministry are not just well-intentioned but also efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of those they aim to serve. It is my hope that they take steps to improve their processes and truly fulfill their mission of aiding individuals with low income in a more effective and compassionate manner.

This place is fraudulent. I will be contacting legal aid. Najah Douglass is the manager here and when I reached out to her she did nothing to resolve my case. I will not trust this organization or apply through rental assistance here ever again. I’m a single mother with two children facing eviction located in Smyrna ga and I reached out to them for rental assistance in June. The case manager assigned to my case name is Erica Dix. She stated she would cover my rent for June and July and I needed to provide to her my portion towards it in the form of a money order which is what I did. Once I provided my portion for June I promised to pay they promised to cover July. When she reached out to my landlord she was not honest with him about my portion for June or what she would cover or her manager. They promised to pledge 1500 and pay my rent and I provide 900. They sent a check out afterwards for 300 dollars the incorrect amount so my July rent was never covered. When I and my leasing manager reached out to correct and let them know of the mistake they only told lies and never sent out check for correct of their portion. Unfortunately I’m still facing eviction because they never paid their portion. They lied the whole time. When I reached out to mrs dix she stated she would inform her supervisor and to not cash first check sent out because they would send knew check out for the correct amount and never did. This all took place in June. Because she said this my leasing manager voided first check and new check was never sent out. This is not how you represent single mothers with children facing eviction who is struggling. And this is supposed to be a Christian organization. I was placed on medical leave from work up until July and had not worked since May so that’s the reason I reached out to them for rental assistance. They never assisted me. Then only way you can get an appointment is if you stay up all night and morning because they only make their appointments available around 12am and by 12:30am there gone. Poor and dishonest way to represent your people and your community

SCAM!!!!! This company is a awful company they turned down my 82 year old mother for help told her she lived too far when she lived in the same zip code in walking distance they werent answering the the phone i had to drive her up there then they told me they didnt have anymore funds to help then they gave me a number that was out of business and told me to contact them for help i personally think they filter money into the hands of the people (White) they want to help and deny the people they dont if you are going thru hard times DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY

I am a landlord. I filled out paperwork for them to cover my tenants rent. They paid 2 months and then stopped paying with no explanation. Don't trust them. They do not abide by their contracts.
