“Love this two story B&N! It's wide open, It's cozy, It's comfortable to browse. The staff is friendly in helping to find a book you may be looking for. So nice to go in, get a cup of coffee and a eat pastry, and then go browsing. It was a fun mother/daughter hang out spot.”

“Love this bookstore! It seems like someone's front porch but the bookstore is cozy and has a great collection of books. They have all genres of books, stickers, Agnes Scott Merch, and Knick knacks. There is ample parking in the back of the store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They carry a superb collection of books on "Politics of Place", "Women and Race", and "Children's Books". It is a reader's heaven and a perfect place to buy a gift. The books are moderately priced. They have month-wide events for readings and discussions. I highly recommend bringing yourself here with a cup of coffee and kindling your thoughts with some amazing reads.”

“The pictures make the store look bigger than what it is although I still loved every bit of it. I wasn't so sure what to order so I decided to try the vanilla honey oat iced latte. The coffee was very strong and the honey was all at the bottom not mixed, I still drank it though. It's a nice area to come and finish up any online work or just to enjoy some books and coffee. It's also very dog friendly !!”

“Books for every interest and taste, all at reasonable prices! Staff is very friendly and welcoming, too. One tiny concern - cats roam these halls, so if you have a serious allergy or fear, you might want to avoid it. But otherwise, a quaint paradise for lovers of reading.”

“Such an absolutely uplifting and spiritual environment. The energy created by the owner exudes love and "welcome". I started bringing my granddaughter here when she was around 3 yrs. old so that she could absorb the love, imagery, and respect that Medu offers. Our community is truly blessed.”

“There was a time all Atlanta had was Barnes & Noble, A Cappella, and Atlanta Classic Books. With the death of B&N, we have been missing a bookstore with a great selection of books both for adult and children (and they even have some games). And now here it is! With a more intimate feel than VaHi Books. I’m an A Cappella regular, but loved this spot as I can shop for our whole family. And the booksellers are very knowledgeable and are clearly proud of the store. 100% will be back.”

“Wonderful selection for a small boutique shop and great staff that will find and order whatever book you need. A wonderful local business to support. They also have great book signings and talks in the evenings.”

“What a great bookstore with a cafe and also a toy store. Our son had never been to a Barnes and noble, he loved it. I'm sure the next time we are in the states he wants to visit again.”

“Went to an amazing event this weekend. Was the first time I've ever been inside the ACU campus. The parking was adjacent to the campus building we were headed to so no issues with parking. But even on the weekends it was $12! A lot! Also, the system did not read my ticket printed so I had to pay $24 to get out as they charge $24 for a lost ticket but the security help kept disconnecting the call so I had no choice. Staff - they had some CAU staff on site for the event but mostly event staff were present. Atmosphere - now the building itself definitely have HBCU vibes!! Loved everything about it! Nothing seemed dirty or too outdated. Everything worked in the bathrooms and the technology supplies were updated. I appreciated the school hosting the event and look forward to visiting for other events as well. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Thanks Brittney”

“The manager at the bookstore went above and beyond to make sure my order was processed same day to ensure my son got his shirt for HBCU day at his elementary school. Not only did he expedite the order I placed, he even suggested meeting me locally for pickup since I was over an hour away from the campus and may have not gotten there in time. This is the type of service/care you get when you choose an HBCU! Thanks Cedrick for making my little guy’s day! Be blessed.”

“I've lived in the area as a kid and just recently moved back. I loved this book store as a kid since it was so small it fulfilled all my cute library dreams reading in there haha. It is located in the Toco Hills plaza next to Kroger and Pikes, and the parking lot is huge so no worries on parking. The book store is small but is filled to the brim with books. I had a lot of fun browsing and bought two books. I heard there was a cat, but we did not see it on this trip. I am hoping to see it on the next one!”

“I have been shopping at the Cathedral bookstore for nearly as long as they have existed. I love this store! The staff is always kind, patient, helpful and peaceful. Their buyer is very thoughtful and purchases exquisite reasonably priced jewelry, candles, stuffed animals, books and other items that are not only appropriate for Christians, but for anyone who is looking for a lovely gift for themselves or others. In recent years they have expanded to include a wonderful Hispanic section of spiritual books and other paraphernalia that I have often seen in Mexico and thought at the time, "How lovely." I recently discovered that they are also serving as the books store of Christ the King and have a wonderful Catholic selection. If you want to go to a non-hectic, peaceful, beautiful, privately owned gift /book store (there are that many left...too many chain stores!) with its own distinctive personality and a gracious staff...this is the place! I have found that nothing is overpriced here and I'm so grateful that they are still around. I pray they never close!”

“Nice bookstore in Georgia Tech campus. It has a wide selection of popular books. We bought children books. Plus, there is a Starbucks inside, so you can read and study while drinking your coffee.”

“I was visiting Morehouse for an event and asked my mom if she wanted to grab her something from the Spelman bookstore since I had already gotten her some Morehouse memorabilia. The Spelman bookstore is actually just a short walk from the Morehouse bookstore. How convenient. As you come down the bookstore's street, you will see a sign on the top of the building saying Spelman Bookstore. At first, I thought there were some steps leading up to an entrance. But no. If you round the corner from the print center, the entrance is on this same first level. There is an upstairs once you are in the bookstore. I was looking for a shirt for my mom and there was the perfect shirt right upon my entrance. Right color and price point. Approx. $10 for a college t-shirt is pretty darn good. I didn't see as much variety of products as Morehouse's bookstore, but maybe there was more upstairs that I didn't see.”

“Great bookstore and reading room specializing in Black books, records, and paraphernalia. You can spend a good amount of time looking at everything, listening to the music, and/or talking to folks sitting at the center reading table.I picked up an incredible hard-back Langston Hughes book of poetry and design inspiration on my last trip (see photo). Recommended.”

“An amazing space for practical application of Christ principles! I watch online and visit when I’m town and grow a bit more each sermon. This is such a generous and loving church that takes care of its congregation. You feel the love and warmth when you walk in, everyone is so kind. Bishop Jack Bomar is always on fire, the meditations take me to another plane, and the choir is a whole vibe. I leave floating and focused every time I visit.”

“The staff & owners truly deserve 5 stars. They are always trying to help independent authors opening the store up to me and my novels. Allowed me to set up a table and sell my books at their events. Celebrities often are hosting the events. I met Terry Woods there. J Prince, Master P, Musiq Soul Child, Common, Stacey Abrams, Zane, and many other... Please drop through sometime I promise you will enjoy the experiences.”

“A nice B&N campus bookstore. Came up here to get a shirt for my daughter, but they had a full kids books section. Great selection of clothing although they need youth Emory Softball shirts ;) Prices are what you would expect at an Emory bookstore!”

“This is a really nice church if you like going somewhere where with a really large congregation. The staff was really nice and helpful. My son found the kids section underwhelming.”

“I think very highly of this place. The best way to have a good experience is to be very patient. Yes, the lines are usually quite long, but you have to expect that from such a big school. With several ways to get to the actual bookstore, it’s very accessible. Just stay calm and be patient with the bookstore employees, they are human as well! The only downside I would say about this place is their prices.”

3.3 Good84 Reviews

“Has a dedicated traffic person on most busy school days when the entrance would otherwise be difficult to access. Would be nice if the book store entrance were closer to the actual parking. Prices are what you'd expect from a college store.”

“It was good breakfast, albeit expensive. I liked the place that was here before, with the bookstore and coffee pot at the table, better. The food and service are still good, i just liked the atmosphere of the old place better.”

“We had a long layover in ATL and got to sample all of the major booksellers. Simply Books is simply the best. They have the largest selection with extensive fiction and nonfiction as well as gifts. Note: This pin is dropped over Concourse B. They have a smaller location in Concourse B, but their largest location is in Concourse A near the center.”

“YIPEE...MAGAZINES I LIKE! I don't know how many newsstand shops in airports we looked in between San Diego,Las Vegas during our stopover and here in Atlanta before we found this great shop. I found a Road & Track magazine featuring the latest Ferrari for only $5.99 and a Life full color glossy magazine "The Rolling Stones" Special Edition for only $14.99. I had a relaxing time reading both mags on the flight home to California. Big bonus was the real friendly service from lovely Glenika at the cashier desk.”
