My experience with Bellhop Moving was an absolute nightmare. I had never heard of Bellhop, but I was encouraged by the strong reviews I read online. I called the reservation agent to make a reservation for Saturday, June 29, 2024 to move apartments; the agent encouraged me to instead book for the following day because Sunday is the less expensive option. My lease ended on Sunday, July 30th. On moving day, only one mover showed up (Elijah); he was wonderful, but I had reserved two movers and one mover would be unable to complete the task. I called the company and it turns out the second mover was on another job and that they could not find a replacement to come on a Sunday. Mind you, this was the last day of my lease and I had no other options. I was and am FURIOUS. THIS COMPANY LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY with nothing but an apology and a refund. Had I not found outside help, I would have incurred additional fees from my apartment. I wish I could leave this company negative stars. Never again.

If you want a company to come to your home 2 hours late, ignore your instructions, move stuff that you told them to not move, and, then claim there is not enough room for items you told them need to be prioritized, Bellhop is the moving company for you. They even managed to move two twin bed mattresses and box springs and take off leaving the bed frames before we could do a final walk through because the truck was suddenly full at the last instant. In top of that I have to take a car full of lawn trimming equipment back to the old home so that I can get the house's yard ready for sale pictures. They promise you a crew of professionals, then send a crew from somewhere else that is simply a crew of contract laborers, not professional movers. Then, when you ask for assistance from customer service they fail to get back to you so you wind up calling multiple times only getting an offer to take a 10% discount to move the things they didn't right in the first place. My advice to anyone who wants their move done right is run, don't walk away from Bellhop.

TL/DR: Avoid this company at all costs. First,Bellhop is not a moving company; it is a moving broker, and they do not disclose this on their website. They're going to subcontract your job to randoms. Everything is run out of an overseas call center (some folks have said it's in the Philippines, some people have said it's in India) staffed by people who don't know what the hell they're doing. You will never be able to speak to someone in the US because there isn't anyone, and they have no actual employees, just independent contractors, so there's no accountability. I used this company in 2021 for a local move of a much smaller household than I have now. I engaged them again because they had done a good job. I didn't know that in the interim, they outsourced all of their customer service and operations to call center employees reading scripts who know nothing about moving in general or Bellhop policies and procedures in particular. If I had looked at Yelp and seen that all the reviews for the past year have been one stars, I would've known; that's on me. The result was a shitshow of biblical proportions. Because the customer service people don't ask enough or the right questions, they completely fucked up the estimate of how many movers and hours it would take. When I authorized an additional mover in the middle of the process, they never sent them, but they charged me for them anyway. The movers themselves were polite and professional other than the issue with the dirty truck, but the team lead lacked experience; all the packing was done by the time they arrived, but he didn't recognize that he needed more resources until three hours into the job. Bellhop didn't finish the move and left me with a disassembled platform bed and multiple pieces of furniture still at the old location. (Furniture disassembly is not one of their scripted questions.) They said they wouldn't be able to complete the move themselves for another five days, and they wanted an additional $700; I hired two college students and a U-haul and the three of us finished it in two hours for $250 the next day. The truck and furniture bins the moving team used were filthy, and they didn't wrap the couch cushions. The couch is (was) white; they look like they were run over by a truck. The packing team sent me a link to leave a review and it led to another company entirely. You're going to get a lot of random text, email, and call spam because Bellhop wants you to use some "concierge" service they have. Do not give these people access to your life or your personal information; they can't do the one function in their name, so I promise you they're not going to get anything else right. It's not worth trying to deal with customer service after the fact; there's no one in the US you can speak to, and one of the customer service folks wasted 47 minutes of my time because he didn't know what the charges on my dashboard were for. It's unbelievable. Just save yourself the trouble and don't go with these guys to begin with.

This company falsely presents itself as a professional moving service but is dishonest and unprofessional. Initially quoted at $573, I signed the contract. Two crew members arrived with a truck, and the service took three hours. They began by scanning a QR code for time calculation. The crew loaded all items within 1.5 hours. At that point, they informed me they needed to take a break to get drinks from Wawa and assured me there would be no additional charge. I agreed, assuming they would return promptly. However, they took an hour to return, scanning the QR code again upon their departure and return. Consequently, the total time displayed as 4 hours. BellHop then billed an extra $147.66 for an additional hour, despite the crew's unauthorized break not being factored in. This company's practices are highly unethical and untrustworthy. I strongly advise against using their services. 2 times i had connect with customer care support. No proper response. instead they always saying that we will be investigating. Thats' BIG LIE.

Repeat customer for years and there was a system glitch with a reservation. Even though I had a move booked, they kept my deposit on the original reservation! They lost a $1500 move over $100 and frankly they couldn't care less. There are a lot of moving companies in Georgia, use someone that values your business.

Does anyone know how to work around the customer service line and reach the Atlanta office directly? It has become apparent this may be the only way to get my issues resolved. Customer service reps are overseas and extremely limited in there abilities.

I scheduled 2 trucks and 4 movers for 4 hrs , some of the "movers" they just were walking around making the time , the thing is that when they got the first truck full they just drove off with one of the trucks EMPTY, leaving behind almost half of my stuff. They set up a another truck for the NEXT DAY (no even the same day) and this time the "movers" left behind the Treadmill because they couldn't get it tru the door , the same thing with the fridge. Horrible, terrible service.

There was no response, just empty apologizes with no resolution. They couldn't even call me they simply texted Mr sorry. The company is straight crap.

What a dishonest company! I called and scheduled two movers with a truck and somehow the person taking the call omitted the truck part that I was unaware of. When only the movers arrived without the truck, it was clear I was not going to receive the service I requested. I called the company and told them what happened and requested a full refund. They had the nerve to charge me a $200 "late cancellation fee" plus 10% of the overall move ($56), when it was their agent's fault who could barely speak English when booking the reservation. I DO NOT RECOMMMED THIS COMPANY!!!!

This company is a joke. Quoted $597, signed the contract. The DAY OF THE MOVE they sent over an "updated" contract with an additional $183.02 charge. I DID NOT SIGN THAT REVISED CONTRACT; however, they proceeded to charge me regardless. And that's to say nothing of the moving experience itself. The moving crew showed up on time, but one of the movers had injured his back on an earlier job and couldn't work (honestly, I get it). But after "clocking in", they sat out in the parking lot doing nothing waiting for another mover to show up to fill in... all while the clock was still running. Avoid this company if you can. Very sleezy.

Do not use this company!! I had a move scheduled for Sunday morning and had 2 "moving pros" who were supposed to move me. One of the "pros" was a no show. After going back and forth with Bellhops for an hour, they couldn't find a solution or someone else to fill in, and told me they could no longer move me that day and the soonest they could move me would be Tuesday. I told them this was unacceptable as I had to be out of my apartment that day, but they didn't care or offer any solution. In addition to that, they only offered a 10% discount if I "rescheduled" with them. I will never use this company again nor recommend them to anyone! I have been trying to get a hold of a supervisor for 2 days now, but just keep getting passed around their support team who is no help whatsoever. In addition, they're holding all of my money hostage and refusing to give me a full refund even though they provided me with absolutely zero service. Bellhops is literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
