If you want your dog to be locked in a kennel all day, this is the place for you. We specified on our dog's behavior notes (see picture) AND in person during drop off that he does not like confined spaces and has crate trauma from the shelter.In NO moment did anybody think to mention that he would spend the majority of his day IN A CRATE. We got called at noon saying that he is having extreme anxiety while in the crate, which we knew would happen as it was mentioned in the notes and reminded to the staff several times.The fact that the staff said over the phone that he should come back for a SECOND day and redo his trial is completely delusional. Why would they even suggest such a negligent and absurd idea knowing that the dog cannot be in a kennel for long periods of time?If we wanted the dog to stay in a crate all day, we would've left him at home. The whole point of doggy daycare is to have the dog play and socialize while we can't tend to him. NOT TO LOCK HIM in a crate.He came back REEKING of urine and completely covered in dirt or some other brown matter. He has never looked this bad in the three weeks that we've had him, including the first day when we rescued him. Our dog goes to the dog park daily and has tried other daycare facilities. Yet he's never been in such bad shape before.He hasn't had issues in other daycares because the amount of time spent in a kennel is minimal. NOT MOST OF THE DAY. The stress they've caused our dog is grossly negligent. We would never recommend their services to anybody. No dog should be subjected to this kind of abuse and squalor. Wish there was a 0 star option, because Barking Hound Village Lofts deserves it.

The staff is friendly and conscientious. I receive daily report cards when my dog is boarding there. Never have had any issues, always a good experience.

I worked here for 2 months and this is what I can tell you. There are roaches everywhere including in the fridge where the dogs food is kept. There is mold I found a moldy towel inside a dogs kennel that looked like it had been there a very long time. The dogs are locked in kennels a lot more than customers are led to believe.A lot of dogs get extremely overfed, so then they make you pay for house food because they overfed the dog. They changed the prices on customers and we weren’t allowed to tell them that the price changed. They extremely underpay their staff even management. And the “yard” that the dogs have to play in is tiny and gross. The manager fired me through a text then deleted it before I could even read it. Basically she fired me due to me not being able to come in for 1 shift due to a family emergency. Which I still ended up not being able to handle because they needed my help so I had to come in.

Our pups love Barkinghound. They are always excited when we pull up and that makes me feel good about leaving them with someone else. :)

My 2 dogs, both who are now senior, have been going to Barking Hound and getting terrific care for almost 10 years now! I can rest easy knowing that they're in good hands, safe and with caring people. They always look so cute in their post-bath bandanas, too :)

We take our dog here for daycare multiple times a week and we board her here when we're out of town as well. I can't recommend BHV enough! Our dog LOVES being here, and the staff takes great care of her - I HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for an opportunity to socialize your dog and/or board them in a safe location where they can also have fun.

Whoever calvin is, the man who groomed my dog, did a really terrible job. I don’t even leave reviews, but my dog looks so ridiculous that I have to. The first picture what I showed them, which he basically already looked like that when I brought him in, he just needed a TRIM! The other picture is how he came out looking. He has so many patches and uneven hairs I don’t even know how they were okay sending him back to me like this. Not to mention, my dog was sitting there for seven hours in a crate, because they forgot to call me to pick him up. And then, when I asked them why no one called me they lied and said that somebody called me twice and that their supervisor left me a voicemail. That was a lie. I have been getting phone calls and voicemails from people all day with no problem. Calvin did call me back to try to fix the issue and I was going to let him but I have decided to decline because I honestly don’t want him to touch my dog again so I’ll be taking him somewhere to have him evened out so it can grown back all over again smh.

Hazel loves BHVL. I love that they always seem to have capacity and it's right by my office. Friendly staff, easy in-and-out both for drop off and pick up, lots of parking.

Love Barking Hound! They take such good care of my pup when she visits, and consistently communicate well about how she's doing. Easy to book visits, and I really appreciate the long hours available for daycare when I work late!
