STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!What a terrible unprofessional facility. They have no business looking after your babies. I brought my dogs here for the temperament test because this facility has more flexible hours, though they differ depending on who you speak to (one person told me 6:30 pickup time and the other told me 5:00). The receptionist grabbed two choke collars and literally just grabbed my dog and tried to put them on him. She didn't speak to him or pet him, get down on his level, or anything at all to try to build rapport. He was terrified and pulled against her while she apparently took one quick lap around the "cages" they have in the back. Not kennels, but "CAGES", and said he wouldn't go in one. My other dog didn't do much better with being strangled and dragged by a total stranger. Both of my dogs have been boarded and gone to daycare at several other facilities, so I know the routine; someone comes out and squats down with the dogs, says their names over and over, loves on them a little bit, then gets them to sit and shake on command, so that the dog understands what is going on. None of that happened. They are untrained and, to be perfectly honest, I think I dodged a bullet here. If they were that back on the initial meeting, I can't image how poorly they care for dogs. Do they just drag them to a cage and leave them? The facility isn't even big enough to have a play area. So, what did this 7 minutes of terrorizing my dogs cost? Well, you won't believe this, but it isn't what it says on their website. 37.50 "for both" is what she told me. 75.00 plus tax is what I was charged. I had to explain to her the difference between "each" and "both". Both means two, each means (per) one. I was going to do a chargeback for the difference, but unfortunately my CC company will only do full charge backs, not partial, so I'm going to chalk this up to a learning experience; really find out who you are dealing with before you try to do business with them.Thankfully, though, you now know who it is your are dealing with; inept, careless, untrained, and uncaring staff.STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!

I really like Bark at the Ark. Mr. Orlando is very informative about the services provided and goes the extra mile taking care of my dog Tolan. Tolan loves it here and jumps out the car to go inside and politely let's himself into the daycare door heading towards his friends. Tolan does not even give me the opportunity to sign him in. Thanks Mr. Davis, Ms. Cam and Ms. Liz for all your love and hard work with Tolan!

There were so many red flags to this place from people answering phones who don't know anything to an argumentative manager. I never got good vibes from this place (even the vet I never got good vibes but I know that's a different review). At the end of the day I needed to use them for a last minute trip. Dropped my pup off and informed them I might be back on Saturday but at least plan on Sunday just in case. They said no problem, pickup between 3p - 6p both days. So I was able to get in early on Saturday and stopped by about 5:30 pm. Some woman in a car (maybe a worker?) informs me the main worker went to the store (uh what?). He comes back and starts giving attitude that there wasn't a pickup on saturday (Sorry...stupid workers should've said I might be there on saturday). He informs me I'm luck because he was ready to leave...um half an hour early? Is this employee fraud? Finally get my dog and he's visibly shaking when we get him. I don't know what the heck they did at this place but I will NEVER recommend them. I honestly hope they're shut down.

Bark at the Ark is one of the only dog daycares in the city in atlanta that is open on time for healthcare professionals that have to be at work for 7am. They are so friendly, especially Orlando who we usually pick our puppy up from at night. We work 12 hours shifts so he is always willing to stay a little later for us if we are running late. He is the best! And our puppy loves it there!

I truly love this place and so does my pup. He literally runs to the door every time we come for day care. They take really good care of your puppies. Orlando has especially made us feel like family. He has done a great job with the care of my dog and giving advice when I need it. He treats my dog like his own! Thank you so much for all you do!

Whenever I go on vacation and I leave Trent at The Ark, he always has a great time. The last time I left him, it was under extreme circumstances due to a death in our family.KT, Tyree, Josh and Orlando went above and beyond their calling to help me get through this difficult period.Trent was cared for, he got exercised, and lost some weight with the low fat meal he was having. I knew he enjoyed his stay because when I took him the second and third time, he didn’t hesitate to get out the vehicle.Thank you from the bottom of my heart guys. Please forgive me if I failed to mention anyone else and for people reading these reviews, please give them a Tip ... they truly do an AMAZING job.

Absolutely fantastic place to take your dog for daycare or boarding. My pup can always tell when we're walking there and gets excited. The staff recognize her (and me) and treat us both extremely well, especially her. They're very attentive and I've used boarding, grooming, and day care multiple times and had a great experience every time.

I am traveling during pandemic and they have a hose bib and the black man in the morning said, "Please don't use our water." and I said, "Well, I'm washing my hands and face. Can I do that?" He didn't answer and I asked him again and then he said, "No."Community health concerns.

I used to take my dogs here but we will not be back. I guess ownership has changed since the last time we were there and it has gone completely downhill. I'm upset I left my dogs there... but I had no choice and was unaware of the changes until I picked them up. First red flag that I didn't notice until after drop off is that they never asked for their updated vaccine records (we haven't been in a year). Second issue is that when I picked up our dogs I asked for the remaining food and was told they ran out of food and have just been feeding them what they have in the back- no clue what that is. I was never contacted about them running out of food and would have brought more if I had known. Switching dog food suddenly can cause a dog to get sick and anyone who has or cares for dogs know that. Then they couldn't find the two dog beds I dropped off with them to sleep on. I'm not sure how you lose something that they should have been sleeping on every night. I was told someone would call me about the beds, but never got a call. I would just let it go but these were new beds and cost $100+ each! So I call back today, 5 days after I picked them up and still no one can tell me what happened and the manager has to call me back- once again. I'm not holding my breath. Since picking up my dogs have not been the same... and it really breaks my heart. I don't know what is going on with this place now but we will NEVER come back!

AVOID Bark at the Ark at all costs!!! A staff member at this facility pulled a chunk of "flesh" out of my poor dog's eye! I normally use another boarding facility, but my senior dog was recently boarded here last minute. He has a number of eye issues (due to his age) and prior to boarding, I advised staff member "Kay" that his eye would need to be cleaned every morning. When we returned from our trip and went to pick up our fur baby, we noticed our dog's eyes were plastered shut... but this was normal. Our dog is 100% blind and suffers from cataracts, as well as dry eye. However after we got home, cleaned and opened his eyes, we noticed a huge chunk of "eyeball flesh" missing from his left eye. It was as if someone carved out a piece of flesh, intentionally or not. I did not discover the injury to his eye until we got home. We boarded our dog here last minute and I did not get great vibes upon dropping him off (should've trusted my gut). The facility smelled AWFUL and UNCLEAN!!! Yes, this is a pet boarding facility (and I've been to many), but this one smells worse than any I've ever been too, like they are not cleaning properly. In addition to our dog suffering an eye injury here, he also came back with DYSENTERY, another indication of an unclean environment. The only reason I didn't call to curse out the staff and sue after I discovered my dog's eye injury was because my dog is old and was already blind. I feel like it would be pointless, but I still have to make the public aware of the highly unfit conditions at Bark at the Ark! The staff is not pleasant or warm. They are more concerned about collecting your money than caring for your pet. The facility is not clean. Your pet will not be cared for properly. And the prices are higher than most others in the area. Their ghetto staff do not care about pets. We will NEVER ever... ever, ever, ever... board at this sketchy facility again and I highly advise you to reconsider boarding your pet here as well!!!
