??♀️ I can’t even use my energy to say what I want to say about this rental location. Just save yourself the energy and go to the airport location. That’s where you will end up anyway.

Tried to rent a car from here at opening time (8am). It was nearly impossible to find (it’s in the mall food court). Upon arrival, there was no way to get in the mall and the Avis counter was gated shut. I waited 20 minutes after open time and no one ever opened the counter or answered the phone. Had to cancel my rental and find a new place to rent from. Would not recommend if you want a reliable experience. I was late to work due to this despite all sources showing that they should have been open.

I was charged for things that could not be explained. The representative told me that she was only charging what her system was giving. I called customer service and they had a different amount in their system and could not explain why this location charged me extra money with no explanation. Contract shows a different amount and I end up paying about $60.00 more. At this point, I could not hold on to the car and the back and forth was just too much. I will not be renting from Avis anymore, especially this location at Northlake mall, Columbus GA.

Needed a last minute rental because my car is in the shop. Booked online and reservation was confirmed. Spent $30 on an Uber to get there. 5 minutes before arriving I get a call from Avis that they have no cars available - they have 17 cars on lot and 32 renters today. Their website doesn’t cross check inventory and bookings.Really just an incredible way to run a business. No wonder so many 1 star reviews

I have been meaning to send this review for a few months, but I am glad that I am sending this now. Contrary to the reviews I actually now only want to use this location. My experience happened on April 16th. I ordered a vehicle after leaving another Avis for unsatisfactory service. When I arrived to the location, the vehicle that I ordered was not available. Of course initially I was upset, however the owner of the location went out of her way to call me and to call the company to see if there were other vehicles available. She called me personally to see if she could help. I had never experienced anyone that cared that much. Her compassion won me over as a customer and now I will go out of my way to come back.

I ordered a Suburban, got an Explorer. I was told a Suburban was available at the airport but when I got there I found out that was a lie.Early closing of Avis store on Saturday and closed all day Sunday made pick-up and returning difficult.Itemized bill not provided, so I don't know exactly what I was charged for.The agent was friendly, but had no way to solve any problems.

Made a reservation with live rep who stated they had vehicles available and when I got here the guy didn't even look up my name he just said they didn't have vehicles if I made a reservation today when I had just talked to the rep on the phone then the customer people say they can't call the location to confirm if they have vehicles or not

My experience was very disappointing. The location was difficult to find. There is no outside signage and it is not clear on google maps that the location counter is inside of a mall. I circled several times and had to call and wait for a live person to tell me it was inside of the food court area.Then the vehicle I received, one of the last they had, was poorly cleaned. The interior was worn and wreaked of smoke. The outside had smudges on the bumper, some writing residue on the window and the tire caps were missing. After a day, I had to take the car to the gas station to refill the tires with air. Speaking of gas, the contract said the tank was full but it was really 3/4 full. I called to share my dissatisfaction and was told that this is an industry issue because they have limited fleet; and that I was lucky to have gotten a vehicle. I was told I could drive the 25 miles to the airport location to attempt an exchange. I paid for the convenience of the neighborhood, not to drive in the airport chaos and hope for a better experience.I was so bothered by the smell and drive of the vehicle I only drove it when absolutely necessary and returned it 3 days early. I gave them 1 star rating because at least I had a car to get to work in a pinch, but it would have been cheaper to Uber and less headache.Both representatives that serviced me at pick-up and drop off were pleasant and offered good customer service despite my frustration, but they couldn't fix the car. I will not recommend Avis to anyone and I will not rent from them again.

Don’t use! I should have read the review before using Avis. I was told they didn’t have a car the night before I was suppose to get one. Use enterprise instead!

Terrible service. Rep (Michael) hung up on me. After he called me telling me that I rebooked my reservation and because I said I didn’t I guess that was it he was angry. Emotionally hurt guys probably shouldn’t have secretarial based jobs. Believe the reviews even though I know rentals are scarce you may still deal with there terrible service. If you do please tell mike even though it’s a soft job toughen up and stop overbooking.

The man at the counter told me I should get the roadside assistance because a lot of the newer cars don't have spare tires. He said they just have patch kits. He said if anything we're to go wrong with the rental they would bring me a another car. When I picked up my kids from school I learned that the rear seatbelt didn't work properly. It was all the way extended and wouldn't go back in. This being a safety concern, I would think it would qualify for roadside assistance. When I called they said they could not bring me another car. I had to drive all the way to the airport and swap it out myself. I told them it wasn't safe to drive all that way without a seat belt for my child. That is why I paid extra for roadside service. (And the car did have a spare tire)

The worst customer service. I was never informed of the hrs of operations so they closed on weekends leaving you no option for returns so I have to pay 2 extra days for the car that I didn’t need. The sign in the door didn’t display the hrs neither. The gas tank was charge as full when it wasn’t. Will never rent at Avis!
