My family has used the Ark for all our pets’ needs for over 13 years. While we miss the former doctors and staff and the current staff and management are new to us now, I found them very personable and accommodating. The tech support and doctors are knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. Thank you for taking good care of our pets past and present.

I always get the appointment day/time I choose. Never have to wait. Friendly staff. Services or problem areas are explained in detail. I feel like they appreciate my business and treat my dog well.

I've been taking my dog to this vet since 2016. Unfortunately, my dog bit someone recently and, to make matters worse, he was a few months late on his annual vaccinations. (Why late? Because I've had some financial and medical issues and he is low risk.) I scheduled his appointment for the coming Friday after noticing a reminder. Given my stroke of luck, I'm not surprised that later that morning, my plumber walked into my home to and my dog bit him on his gloved hand.Long story short, the plumber asked that I put him in a 10-day quarantine based on what he read online. I tried probably 20-times unsuccessfully the following day to get someone at Fulton County Animal Control on the phone to determine what "quarantine" actually meant. Nobody ever answered.Desperate for help and information, I called my dog's vet, Ark. For one, I wanted them to be aware that it happened because I had that upcoming appointment in case that was a problem for them and, to be honest, I was in a precarious situation and I needed for someone to actually care and have actual empathy and put a little effort into helping me understand what to do -- what an appropriate quarantine is. Look, I didn't expect the first person I spoke to know, but I do expect a veterinarian to have SOME idea of what protocol is after a dog bite. This can't possibly be their first dog bite situation, right? No help was offered, other than to tell me to call Animal Control which I had tried already. I told them I was already starting a 10-day at-home quarantine, which would not be completed before the upcoming appointment, and that I wanted him to be checked over as best they could at his appointment. They did not ask to reschedule or cancel my upcoming appointment on that call. I assumed that maybe they have some kind of protocol for keeping a quarantine dog away from others. (Don't assume.)A day or two later, I came to my senses and realized it seemed odd to take him to a vet's office during a quarantine. So I called and asked if I should reschedule until after. It was clearly the first time that needing to schedule occurred to them, but I brushed off that nagging feeling that they weren't paying attention or caring once again and rescheduled specifically for the day after his quarantine ended, 7 days after the original appt. I scheduled that exact date because I wanted to provide an update to the person who got bit that my dog was checked out by a vet. I was not asked for anything from Animal Control.WHY 1 STAR?Because this reschedule call was the ONLY appropriate time to tell me that they would not see my dog. Instead, less than 24-hours before my rescheduled appointment, they called to cancel. Literally, Monica, who I had spoken to before, called me with a tone as if them canceling wouldn't be a disaster for me, and the first thing she said was, "Hey, did your appointment get canceled yet?" (In my head I'm like, what, why? I literally an hour before or so confirmed it.) She told me for the first time ever that "for legal reasons" they cannot vaccinate Rourke unless he's been cleared by Animal Control. (Huh? Why am I finding this out only now, the afternoon before a morning appointment the next day?! BTW, multiple vets I called after were dumbfounded as to why I was being told this.)Look... I lost it. I'm sorry, but I lost it. She got yelled at. I'm sorry for it, but she and Ark Animal Hospital deserved it. You don't treat a customer and a living animal like a line in a calendar program on your computer screen. The time to cancel this appointment respectfully was when I rescheduled. Not the day before, not with such nonchalance, not when I called multiple times explaining the situation already, not AFTER I confirmed it. At some point I asked if he could at least be given a physical. Answer was a hard no, again. They called Animal Control ONCE and left a VM that day for the FIRST TIME. Clearly they contacted their lawyer, though. I'

I brought my cat here to get a wellness check up, this staff was beyond amazing!!!! He has returned to normal. Everyone was so pleasant and seemed to genuinely care about my Diego. We will be returning with little brother Shadow very soon for an exam also!

Be warned about lack of transparency!!! Have taken my dog here for the past 2 years. However, on the most recent visit, I was informed that it was time for my dog to get a dental cleaning and the annual exam and bloodwork that my dog got would be counted toward the dental visit.Had I known that this office was not receiving dental cleaning patients for the past 2 years because they didn't have a doctor, I would have gone elsewhere to get the initial exam and bloodwork! The most they said was "I do apologize for that ma'am."So you mean to tell me that I asked all those questions about a dental cleaning and that it just so happened to have skipped your mind?! That you have no doctor to clean teeth?! Absurd!!

Great staff & friendly service. Just two little pieces of feedback… a) maybe extend the hours for pickup to 7 and b) 53 bucks for a bath is really expensive.

Incompetence is the main word I can think ok.We had our dog micro chipped a while back, and later on came back for a rabies vaccine. The certificate did not include the microchip number, which is required for international travel.By the time we realized, the doctor who had signed the document didn't work there anymore, so there's no way to fix this. And to make things even worse, the microchip doesn't even seem to be there anymore? You ask them, they tell you "these things happen from time to time". You'd think they would have checked all the times we came back after the chip was "placed".What a waste of money, just find somewhere else to go.

Like others have said, RUN from this place!! Please, please, please do not take your precious pets to Ark Animal Hospital in Midtown!!! We have taken our pet to Ark Animal for over 4 years now and since COVID (which I refuse to give COVID an excuse to provide horrible care and customer service) this place has changed drastically. You cannot, under any circumstance, enter the building. At our last visit, their excuse was that the inside was being remodeled...? Question is, if it is so bad that humans can't enter, why are we letting our poor pets go in there?? When you make an 'appointment' it's not a real appointment, it's basically a suggested time and day to drop off your pet, without any idea of where they are being kept and what is happening to them. You have to either remain in your car or their preferred option, you leave and come back when they tell you to. This would be great for someone who has all the time in the world, but many of us are making an appointment around our work schedule and our time should be respected. The only interaction you will have is with the vet tech when they are taking your pet to and from the car. This wouldn't be so bad if the vet techs were actually knowledgeable about literally anything regarding what we have made an appointment for or what was actually performed during the visit. Each time I take my pet, it's as though she is a new patient. I have to provide a full rundown of her medical history, and the vaccinations and medications she is due for. I mean, seriously, this should be simple information that the one and only vet that provides care to my pet should be able to access and have knowledge of. Again, about the vet techs, they typically are very pleasant and nice, but have zero clue of why you're there or what was performed. The icing on the cake is that we found out that they never vaccinated my pet even though we specifically took her there to get all her shots!! Of course we paid a car payments worth of other services they decided to do while she was there (which I would pay just about anything for my girl), but they didn't take care of the main items!! The only thing that has kept us going there is that the staff is generally friendly and the fact that we pay their monthly VIP Plan that is supposed to cover vaccinations, preventative medications and discounted medical services - but if they're not keeping record of it and not actually performing those services, what is the point! We gave them a lot of grace while they we were in a pandemic, but no more!! This place is horrendous!!

The staff was great and the doctor was nice and took time to listen. My son took the dog so he called me during the appt. and the doctor was nice enough to get on the phone and speak to me. Sometimes doctors get impatient when people are on the phone. She answered all of our questions.

RUUUUUNNNNN !! This is the worse vet I've been to Ghetto and unprofessional. Constantly trying to get un needed exams because they probably can't afford the location their in. Flamboyant males managing the front desk who are very disrespectful (Kevin) So glad to have reconnected with Dr. Golden at Petco Edgewood !!!!! He's an extraordinary vet !!

Terrible. Not only our dog didn’t improve after visiting them, but he got worse and they didn’t seem to bother. They only care about your payments, not about your pet. Find your pet a vet that is both knowledgeable and willing to help. Ark is neither of those.

Been taking my dog here for years, but the most recent visit was reason enough to find a new vet. Somehow “stay in your car and don’t come meet with the veterinarian yourself” is still the policy….then you realize why if you happen to see the inside of the waiting room when it’s time to pay (what a mess!). On our most recent visit, we went to have an eye issue looked at, and to renew my dog’s ongoing prescription. Despite purchasing both medicines at the appointment, the office never responded to the pharmacy (who needed authorization to fill the prescription) , despite multiple emails from me and the pharmacy, — Now, Ark AH says I have to come back for additional tests that they neglected to perform at the original visit (keep in mind they charge you a $70 visit fee at the start, before the nickel and dime-ing begins) If you’ve got tons of extra time and money this is the place for you. But I won’t be back.
