Phillip was great when he came out to do our estimate! He was very thorough and knew what he was doing! If the move goes as great as the estimate we are going to be happy campers! Looking forward to the actual move so we can meet some of the other crew members!

I worked with Phil and Teresa regarding a recent move. We had a little snag at the beginning and I was very pleased with how professionally and efficiently Teresa resolved the issue. The movers were very conscientious and respectful of our belongings and very hard workers! Thanks for a great job University Moving!!!

I called University Moving to get help for my daughter to move from an apartment to a townhome at the last minute. They were so very helpful and willing to help her out for a few hours. Everyone else I called told me they were booked and unwilling to even entertain the idea of squeezing us in. With this mama in California, and my girl in Athens, they were a blessing. Thank you Univeristy Moving & Storage!!

The team at University Moving absolutely saved the day with my recent move!! After another company cancelled on me 4 days before my scheduled date, University was able to get my move scheduled on very short notice. Teresa who I spoke with was friendly and responsive and sent me a quote about 30 minutes after my phone call. The team who came, Doug, Marcus, & Deon showed up right on time and handled my items with care. They were very quick - they packed up my entire apartment and into a POD in 90 minutes!This company was also upfront about all costs ahead of time which is very appreciated. I would highly recommend them for your next move! They have fair pricing and will handle your thing with care as well as handling your move in a timely manner.

University Movers in Athens recently moved us from Athens to Brentwood, TN. This was the first time we’d moved in over twenty years. We had SO many large items, as well as a lot of items in general, and they were OUTSTANDING. From start to finish, they did all we needed and went above and beyond. Ivan was our head mover, and he was SUPERB. Professional, on time, respectful of our items, and so much more. He is an absolute jewel. On loading day, he had Matt, Jeremy, and Troy with him, and what a crew that was. Again, we had A LOT of items, and they got them all loaded that by 6:30 that evening. Our items filled up an entire 16-wheeler. They were all TERRIFIC. Let me add that Phillip, who came to our house and gave us the quote, was also great. Extremely thankful we chose University Movers, and extra thankful that Ivan works there, or there’s no telling what kind of experience we would have had with another company. We loved Ivan so much that we’re using him/them again to move my MIL in September!

These guys were marvelous! My mother was moved from hospital into assisted living memory care and we needed to have her furniture there asap. From the first phone call to the last bill they were professional, courteous and efficient. Handled everthing carefuly and boy, were they strong!They were recommended by another moving company. That is how good they are.

First off, Mike the owner, came out and looked over our situation first hand and got a fair quote to me the very next day. They worked us in to the busy schedule and everything was smooth sailing. The crew did a super job. I will use these folks again. And I give them my full endorsement.

I am a caretaker of a summer home in Athens, GA. The house is owned by a retired attorney whose permanent residence is in Colorado Springs, CO. My client recently requested that I make arrangements to have an expensive mahogany wall unit entertainment center packed and shipped to his son who will be shortly closing on a new home in Parker, CO. His son requested that delivery be made in about two weeks, which was very short notice for booking a move. I requested pricing from three well established national movers. Allied Van Lines took my information, then sent me an email the next day declining to offer a quote. Although the freight was 4 large high value pieces weighing over 750 lbs it evidently wasn't deemed profitable enough for Allied to be bothered with. I appreciate them at least giving me the courtesy of sending an email response. The second company, Southeast Van Lines took all my information and told me that one of their estimators would call me back shortly, i never heard anything else from them. Mike Roman, at University Movers, the Bekins Van Lines representative in Athens took my information and asked me to give him a little time and he would see if he could help me out. In less than an hour, he called me back and said that he couldn't make a promise, but he thought he could possibly take care of my needs. This was around 6 o'clock in the evening. Over the next several hours we traded several text messages exchanging information. Well, to make a long story short, by 2 o'clock the following day the Mike's people had the wall unit packed, loaded and on the way to Parker, CO. I couldn't possibly ask for more prompt or professional service. I highly recommend University Movers and they will be my "go to" movers for my future needs. Thanks again Mike for your efforts and an all around great job!

From start to finish, from estimate to the paperwork at the end of the move, the entire experience was a delight! From Mike who prepared my estimate, to Rodney, Cornelius and Rhodes who manned the truck and toted the heavy stuff, to Teresa who ran my credit card and sent me the receipt - they were all so nice, helpful and agreeable - a total pleasure to deal with! I have moved far too many times. I have used many different moving companies. None of them have compared to University Moving & Storage. They made an awful chore as painless as possible. I will definitely use them again!

During our long lives,We've moved households more than a dozen times, locally, nationally, overseas. Always on our own dime, no gravy train for poor old us! University Moving and Storage IS AMONG THE RARE BEST.
UM&S are HEROS across all the steps of a move:
1.) SALES MEETING AND QUOTE: Extremely pro, no blah-blah, with relevant interest in what we feel. Shared practical knowledge but also insights into how the industry operates today. Understood our particular needs and apprehensions. Presented alternatives and cost/benefit probabilities. Quote was spot-on with actuals. None of the other 6 companies that my wife and I interviewed came close to even competing with the value that UM&S communicated. AND THEY DELIVERED!
2.) PACKING: Packers are skilled craftspeople. We had a team of two men, the more experienced packer carefully guided the newer to develop his skills and checked his work. All boxes were labeled clearly with their contents, manifest sticker and entered onto the manifest.
3.) LOADING: The dispatcher confirmed, throughout the process, all information about the truck driver and his team. Driver picked up on time with the capability to get the shipment out safely and quickly; the shipment paperwork complete and well organized.
4.) UNLOADING: Driver arrived on time, well aware of the particularities of the arrival site. NO SURPRISES or unexpected costs. The unloading team were full of pep, energy and team spirit, carefully placing everything as we directed. After we had time to unpack, all was in perfect condition.
This relocation was a big move, from Athens, GA to Oakland, CA. I had many special requirements, many complexities. Of course, situations like these are always a test of spirit, no matter how many times they unfold. There were moments during the process when I felt unsure. Whenever I called Mike Roman, who was coordinating everything, he always took my concerns seriously. He made sure that I was confident of success. He and his national team made success happen.
