Aquarium Outfitters
230 Old Epps Bridge Rd, AthensThe staff there are very educated on what they sell! Every question I had, they were able to answer. If one guy didn't know the answer, he would ask someone else! They have a lot of fish and products in stock. Very clean store with no clutter on the floor. They greeted me as soon as I walked into the doors!

Catio BoB
4725 Atlanta Hwy Unit B, AthensWe just had our catio installed and we are thrilled with it. It's even better than we imagined. Our cats are starting to explore it and I have a feeling that it will be hard to get them back into the house. Thank you so much for working with us to give us just what we were looking for.

Pet Supplies Plus Athens
191 Alps Rd Ste 13A, AthensThe staff are great, always pleasant and helpful. The prices are generally good and they have frequent sales. The only issue I've seen is that they don't properly house the crested geckos. I'm not familiar with the appropriate care for the other animals they have for sale there, but the cresteds are kept too warm with not enough humidity or foliage.

Petsense by Tractor Supply
660 US-29, AthensI have never been to a pet sense before but I decided to stop by for the first time to see what they had. They don't have a lot of fish tanks but the ones that they did have were extremely clean. All of their fish were healthy and happy so I took the chance to buy some. The employees were very sweet and helpful. They made sure I already had a set up and cycled tank prepared. They had snakes, lizards and a tortoise along with the few fish and betta fish. They had a variety of pet supplies and pet food. They even had a machine to make your pets name tags. The thing I fell in love with the most though was a sweet cat they had for adoption there. His name was Miso. Miso was not the only cat there for adoption but he's the one I wanted. All you have to do for the adoption is pay a small fee and fill out some paperwork and you get to take your new fluffy friend home!!! ❤️

UGA Pet Health Center
125 Veterinary Lp, AthensSuch kind and caring staff! From the lovely ladies at the front desk to Mary and Katrina who took care of my sweet Ollie! I just moved to Georgia from Texas and had to find a place to keep up with my dog’s severe allergies. I was recommended the school’s vet, and I’m so glad I was! The visit cost was about $70, and the cytopoint injection was $88, (which, at my previous vet, was closer to $150 for the injection alone). For reference, my dog is a white bully breed, about 75-80 pounds. He also got a cytology exam for a small lump forming on his chest, which was $53 (he’s okay!). Total cost visit was $212, which is pretty affordable in my experience. I felt that the staff did a great job of getting my puppies history, addressing all my concerns and answering all my questions. Plus, they were very generous with the treats :) I will note that I did have to wait a little long in the room due to it being a teaching vet clinic, but I felt extra comfortable and put to ease knowing that many professionals got to add their impressions and expertise into the pot. Absolutely recommend, especially if you’re able to spare a little more time at the vet! (Extra pictures of my house hippo provided)

Pet Sitting & Training
Off Leash K9 Training, Athens
400A Commerce Blvd, AthensPlease read this miracle about how everyone Offleash helped save our baby, Maya. Our little 8 year old, 104 lb red Dobie started training as a search in rescue dog when she was a puppy. She failed because she is too sweet.Fast forward to this past Christmas Maya was acting out of character. As first responders ourselves we knew that she needed some training. They required a medical clearance even though we had one six months before. However, we fully undestood their requirements. We started her training and were loving it. Two weeks later we thought we were going to our vet to just get a document. What we didn't imagine was that they would find a huge mass. We were devastated! We had to put Maya's training on hold. Our vet told us we needed a surgeon immediately. We were fortunate that they fit her for emergency surgery. The prognosis was not good. The owner Bryan and the trainers we worked with were so supportive. Our miracle is that Maya is going to live with us for years to come. However, the incision is two feet long. She will have a long road of recovery. As you know investing in our fur children is not cheap.Bryan allowed us to return the equipment and refunded our money. It is not about the finances rather their kindness.Without any hesitation our family recommends Offleash as amazing trainers, but more importantly, they are amazing people!

1850 Epps Bridge Pkwy, AthensCame by for lunch with our elderly friend. She's super picky but loved her shrimp and grits and was able to pack her leftovers for dinner. Service was impeccable. Our waiter was super helpful and patient with us being our first time there. Fried green tomatoes yummy though I wasn't a fan of the toppings. Bacon on the BLT was cooked perfectly crispy. My husband also ordered the dirty bird waffle. The savory waffle was like a guilty pleasure. Overall a great place for some comfort food and good vibes.
