I have had a great experience with Oconee Footwear Company. I overpronoate, and i was really looking for the right pair of day to day athletic shoes to reduce pain. I was offered excellent guidance in shoe selection...who knew I needed wide width shoes? What a game changer for my overall comfort. The sales associate scanned my feet and made specific shoe recommendations, then gave me a lot of time to try the shoes on and walk around. Good shoes don't come cheap, but I loved the shoes I purchased, and the buying experience. Several weeks after buying them, I had an issue with a small portion of the sole coming loose. The staff understood the situation and worked efficiently with their manager to resolve the issue. I will definitely purchase shoes from Oconee Footwear Company again!

Absolutely love this place. Ty & his wife are awesome. Most stores are just in it for a buck but they actually take their time with you to ensure you get the perfect fit & I walked out highly satisfied. Thanks.

We were greeted with a smile and lots of help. They used to be the New Balance store, just a different name, same owners. They took their time with me. I have wide toes and a narrow heel. They did a great job. I would recommend.

Great service at fair prices. I live nowhere near Athens, but I was told that Oconee Footwear was the place to go for orthopedic shoes that wouldn't make me look like I was a Nun. I entered the location, and was immediately greeted by Ty. He was able to immediately identify the problems with my current footwear, took my measurements in two different ways, and brought out options that would both address the concerns and meet my needs.
Ty provided the level of service that every manager tries to teach their employees, which makes sense, as I later found out that he was the owner.
If you want quality footwear, and excellent service, at a fair price, make the trip out to Athens and see Ty Wheeler at Oconee Footwear Company

I went today 09/29/23. My salesman was Jesse. He was extremely helpful to me. He took his time with me as I am an older female with problem feet. He made sure I was completely satisfied with the shoes I bought. I will be returning to get another pair.

Went in on 9-6-23, first time going to this store and I had a awesome experience, My salesperson was Jesse and he was very kind and professional and I had a great experience Jesse measured my feet, gave me some options on some shoes and made the whole experience Awesome! Thank you Jesse for making my first time going to this store awesome! I really do appreciate it and I'll be coming back to get me another pair of shoes, ??

I purchased shoes and inserts on my lunch break several weeks ago. I have really painful feet and needed relief. The assistant manager was super helpful and I felt relief as soon as I stood up! Unfortunately, my feet are bad enough that the shoes didn’t help after the initial relief. I was able to return the shoes with the assistance of the owner of the store. Even though the shoes didn’t work for me, I would definitely recommend this store, and I will be back.

Ty was a very knowledgeable and professional man! He spoke to me at my level of knowledge and helped me find the product that suited my needs very quickly. As a body worker it felt great to feel like I was speaking to somebody who confidently knew what he was selling to his customers. A+ my man.P.s. The Newks order was also good.

Just wanted to share what a good experience I had with this store recently. I had ordered a pair of toddler shoes from newbalance.com and when the shoes arrived it was the correct box/label but the shoes were bright pink instead of navy (shoes are for my son). I decided to return the shoes in person because I was going to be close to Athens that week. The staff was extremely pleasant and took the shoes with no questions asked. They did not have the shoes I wanted in stock but the associate offered to order them for me and sent them to my house with free shipping. The new shoes arrived within just a couple of days and were exactly what we had wanted. Great staff, pleasant, friendly, and extremely helpful. We will definitely be using them again.
