Compared to HD or Lowe’s - Cofers has a much better selection of amazing plants.Pricing is comparable to the big box stores and Cofers has a great staff and a lot more of them than a HD or Lowe’s.

It’s too late to get a beautiful Christmas tree! Cofers Home & Garden had some really nice options and great prices. I’ll definitely be back for all my gardening needs.

Always a pleasure doing business with Stuart & Kathy. Great buying experience and customer service where their staff cares about you and always treats you like family and they care about your needs and don't just treat you like a number and most importantly they back the quality of their products and services (total opposite experience compared to buying the negative buying experience at Lowes or Home Depot)!

I highly recommend this business. The service was truly exceptional. The owner, Stuart, prides himself on being locally owned and operated for decades. I have purchased from them and plan to in the future. The staff is exceptionally knowledgably and can give you plenty of ideas in gardening and landscaping. They even helped me load in the parking lot! Thankful for local businesses like this in the community. I plan on stopping by soon for my Christmas decorations.

Cofers Home and Garden has been the go to business for my family for years. We appreciate the downhome customer service. The staff certainly is a spin off of Stuart Cofer and his positive attitude and genuine way of making folks feel at home. They are the best in the business. We appreciate his leadership with the Oconee and Athens Area Chambers of Commerce. He leads by example.

Ask them what your money goes towards. If you're progressive, this is not the store to support. Conservatives, you'll likely be impressed.For those looking to buy local, do your homework since I'm not sure they'd really be considered locally owned. While still managed by a Cofer, they state right on their website, "The company now belongs to a national buying cooperative called TruServe Corporation..."
