Jesus Dumas working hard and quickly to get me in the keep I was looking at. then within a month I find out the engine is leasing oil from three places including the head gasket. they are a rip off and I don't recommend buying a used car from them. they sold me a lemon!

Beware! If you value your money and credit as much as they value the size of their pockets you will go elsewhere.You would think this is a reputable dealership but it is absolutely not. You need to consider the fact that a large dealership can afford a slew of attorneys with all the profit they make rippling ppl off if they choose to.So a large dealership isn't necessarily safer if management or salesman have no integrity.I've bought 10 cars in my lifetime and all were basically good purchases however the purchase I made in 10/21 I will forever regret! It's had such a negative impact on my life!In considering a purchase at Athens Ford I would suggest it be your last resort and be very diligent in inspecting the vehicle(s) , reading the fine print, and never go alone.I thought because I am familiar with finance and this was a larger dealership it would be like all the other purchases in the past.They are very well versed in the art of being crooked and you are no longer a valued customer after those papers are signed. Athens collision is affiliated so keep that in mind.It's my opinion that management sets the tone and the tone is the same from top to bottom at this dealership but when you think your at the top, you have nowhere to go but down.Im limited on what I choose to say but with anything in life, that should be a joyful experience, a vehicle purchase can also quickly turn into a nightmare so it's best to shop around and use your gut feeling. My purchase wasn't a one day quick deal as most of my other purchases. I state take your time shop around but when you deal Athens ford several days can just gives them more time and ammunition to take advantage.They may not take total advantage of just anyone because that would simply not be very smart but instead they function like a school of sharks.I do not believe every single dealership is this crooked. I really wish I had of went anywhere rather than Athens Ford.Although all the 10 previous purchases that went well in the past I made on my own I would not advise ladies to enter this dealership alone and try to make a purchase. I've done that so many times in the past and came out smelling like a rose. But these ppl will see an opportunity. Plain and simple. Remember they have bills and expenses and I'm sure a lot of the salesman are paid on commission and of course the dealership profits so your good luck or misfortune may depend on your salesman's finances and current sales or lack of and the dealerships numbers itself. So if your dead set on Athens Ford then best of Luck! I'd been better off taking $15k and playing the lottery. Same result but a lot less headache!

I've owned Ford vehicles since 1973 and have dealt with a number of Ford dealerships. Athens Ford does not rank highly among the ones I've dealt with. I've had a number of experiences with Athens Ford that were disappointments. Two in particular stand out. In one instance, I took my car in to Athens Ford to have the battery replaced. When I got the car home with the new battery, the car wouldn't start. When I looked under the hood, I saw the battery cable connections were loose. This was pretty easy to avoid. In another instance, I took my car in for an oil change. When I got to the dealership to pick up the car, I was told the car was ready to go and, by the way, the air filter box had stripped bolts. Before coming to pick up the car I had called the dealership to see if it was ready and was told Yes. No alert that a new problem had been found. After looking around town for another company to work on my car (and help me get in a new air filter box) I was told that Athens Ford provides poor service, and that I'd be better off dealing with Akins Ford in Winder, even though the latter is much farther away from where I live. Based on these and other experiences with Athens Ford, I can't see myself going back there.

Service manager was supposed to get me price and parts ordered for daughters mustang motor mounts. Never did and never called me back. She had issue with caliper locking after brake job. Went back replaced caliper and hose. They were supposed to replace pads and rotor under warranty. Replaced hose and turned rotor instead of replacing. Did not replace pads. Called service manager and have yet to have phone call returned.

I had my Mustang towed from Atlanta to Athens to service as a repeat customer. Just to be let down. The tow was over $300 out of my pocket. They did not diagnose the vehicle properly and now are charging double labor charges for the same issue. When asked for the invoice Brandon refused because he felt I was going to go somewhere else to pay for repairs to be fixed for the second time. He demanded I pay for second diagnostic to get the quote sent. My first visit was $772.28 in labor. He quoted over $400 for new repairs on same issue. When asked why; he respond “someone has to pay the technician.” No consideration for my time or money spent. The invoice would show what the “issue is”. He forced me to say I would pay in order for invoice to be sent. Still no invoice sent. When normally they are sent immediately through text. Something is being covered up.

Jessica went above & beyond providing excellent service & was very knowledgeable about the concerns with our vehicle. We appreciated so much all she done for us. Darn it, I thought dealerships had learned. It seems not here. Simple diagnostic (front wheel bearing) billed $150. I declined the service as it was priced double what the independent shop did it for. The $diagnostic$ was wrong. Boo, hiss.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Athens Ford boasts fast service on their website. I have been getting my oil changed/tires rotated for over 5 years and, on average, this takes about 2 hours. I always make an appointment and yet I consistently wait 2 hours for a service that takes about 1 hour at other service centers. I’m writing my review today because I overheard two other people who had waited a long time at the service center. The first stated they had been there two hours and were told their car was ready about 10 minutes later. The other stated that it took the service center 2 hours to come out and tell them the services being done and waited another 30-45 minutes before their car was ready. I have refrained from writing a review in my previous years of experience because I explained away the wait… maybe they had a lot of walk ins, maybe it was a busy time to get car serviced. Overhearing these other people waiting today, I decided there may be an issue in the scheduling that causes this to take such a long time.Service: Oil change

11/05/2020 My husband and I have purchased over 30 vehicles through the years. Athens Ford was the best experience we have had ever! Stephen Lambert went the extra mile along with their finance department to get us approved at an acceptable interest rate and payments within our budget. If you're looking for a new or used vehicle I urge you to go speak with Steven Lambert at Athens Ford. 12/19/2022 We purchased our second vehicle a Ford Explorer at Athens Ford. Once again Steven Lambert and the finance department bent over backwards to help us get yet a second vehicle through them 2 years after the first one that we bought. As I said in my previous statement when we bought my brand new Ecosport in November of 2020, It was the best experience we have ever had at a car dealership! This is why we went back to buy my husband's Ford Explorer. Everything is up front, they don't do a "bait and switch" once you're in the dealership. I cannot say enough about Steven Lambert who is an amazing salesperson and you won't get any game playing out of him! Everyone at Athens Ford works as a team to get you out as quickly as possible with the very best deal. No other dealership in Metro Atlanta can even come close to Athens Ford's customer service.

Nice dealership with excellent service. The people make the differenceI'm an old guy and I've purchased a lot of cars. I've come back to the Ford place several times to shop and to buy. When I say I come back here to shop, when I'm looking for a car, obviously I go online but I also swing by the Ford dealership. Ray Brooks is one of those sales guys that really doesn't put pressure on you. He goes through the inventory. He helps you find what you're looking for. There's no pressure, it really feels like he wants you to find what you're looking for! And they have a good inventory. I would definitely ask for Ray if you are looking for a car.On the service side I have purchased both new and used cars. The service was excellent. Christian in the service department was very good at focusing on the problem at hand. He seemed to have a desire to provide the most economical service but definitely solve the problem.This is a nice local dealership and as you can see I have specific people that I have had wonderful experiences with. Currently have two vehicles from this dealership and would buy from them again!

Called to talk to a service rep about an issue on the truckI purchased from them. The person "service person" answering the phone had little or no knowledge of vehicles. I was told a service tech would call me back. No call back.I called again a few weeks later with the same request. I was told a service rep would call me. I explained no one called last time.I was told that they would make sure that i got a call and that they would circle back with me to make sure I got that call.No, call back, no "circle back" to see if I got the call.Last time I buy there. Last time I try and have some work done there.Good luck to anyone trying to communicate with the service department.

they said that they were knee deep on electrical issues Friday afternoon and Monday morning they said my car was ready for pick up. took it to Akins in winder. they fixed it.
