It's been over a year since our family began training at Tiger Academy and it has been a wonderful experience! The instructors are patient and helpful, and both kids and adult classes have been amazing for us. Can't say enough good things about the Camden family and the way they run their business. I'm so glad we found such a great resource to start our Jiu Jitsu journey!

This review is very long overdue! My wife and I began training at Tiger Academy way back in 2007 when it was in the plaza on Holcomb Bridge Rd. just east of 400. Although MMA had been growing since the mid90s, it wasn't nearly as popular as it is now, and at the time Tiger Academy was one of the first and only Gracie-endorsed Jiu-Jitsu schools to open in metro Atlanta. In fact, Helio Gracie (RIP), the patriarch of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu did a book-signing there. The quality instruction drew everyone from Navy Seals, to law enforcement, to bouncers, to housewives, to regular students (some of whom drove from as far as Clayton County three times each week for evening lessons!). My wife and I learned a lot while training, practicing and rolling after class under the supervision and coaching of Sifu Eddie and his talented instructors. But what we also really appreciated was the emphasis on critical thinking, situational awareness, and de-escalation over confrontation whenever possible. We liked that so much that we signed our then 7th grader up, and later when our youngest child got to 7th grade we enrolled her at Tiger Academy too. We have since referred several friends, neighbors, and coworkers, many of whom have had one or more subpar experiences at other martial arts businesses. The ones who sign up at Tiger Academy always report positive experiences. Don't take my word for it. Tiger Academy has always offered a week of free classes to see if it's a good fit. Thank me later.

I've been training here since 2009 and I love it. The instruction is top notch and the owner makes sure that we have no knuckleheads on the mat hurting people. If you want to learn technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a family friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

Highly recommend- The Awesome Jiu Jitsu here is only overshadowed by the awesome people. I came here as a purple belt- I have other experiences of which to measure against. Look no further, this is where you’ll want to be.

Been training there for 5 years now. They explain the moves very detailed and easy to understand. The coaches also always remind the students things to watch out for to prevent injuries.

My husband was a member for about a year. Life happen and he was unable to make it to classes. He started calling in January leaving multiple messages asking someone to call back so he could cancel his membership. No one called back. He finally go ahold of someone in almost May. He was told he could cancel but would have to pay 2 more months due to the contract. The contract is fine. It is what it is that's not my issue. My issue is that we called almost weekly for 4 months and payed for a membership that was hardly used for 4 months while they chose not to respond to messages and then chose to not do the right thing and just cancel the membership. It's pretty slimy practice. When the time is right he certainly will not be returning to this location.

Everyone who trains here is friendly, supportive, and eager to help each other succeed. Whether you're a seasoned martial artist or a complete beginner, you'll feel right at home here. I can't recommend this gym enough. If you're looking for a place to learn, get in shape, and make some new friends, look no further!

Listen Listen Listen… I have been attending this academy for 6 years and this place is absolutely Fantastic !This is where you want to train if you want to learn the highest quality detail jiu jitsu hands down. Master Sifu aka. Eddie Camden is exceptional in providing the world with high quality martial arts and self discipline like no other!If you don’t catch his classes you still have the real tiger of Tiger Academy Joey Weigel which is another monster of unbelievable skill and teaching ability which will transform anybody’s life and show you how to be a high level grappler . Everyone in this academy is like family and will always show love and respect on and off the mat. Don’t think! Just jump in and train because you will be in the highest level academy on the east coast.

One of the best self defense schools I've trained at. The instructors are very attentive to the students. There is a team/family vibe that is evident when you walk in. You can tell everyone who trains here really cares about learning Jiu Jitsu. The higher belts are very patient and eager to help. It is a little pricey, but I believe the knowledge and confidence that you will gain after training here for even one year is well worth it. I love this place and can't wait to train every day that I have class. I will for sure be a long time member.

As a 54 year old who decided to learn BJJ for self defense, I can attest that Tiger Academy has built an amazing culture of instruction. Everyone in the academy is focused on helping students learn the art. Kyle, the combatives instructor, is terrific. I’ve also learned a lot from the advanced belts who attend beginner classes just to offer guidance during drills, as well as my fellow white belts who focus on getting the techniques right during drills, not building their egos. The focus of combatives is real world self defense application, and the instruction meets the objectives

I started trading at 43 with no martial arts experience. This school is perfect for all! Plenty of extremely talented martial artists at high levels and other regular guys like me. It is a very welcoming environment but as challenging as you want. When I leave, I can’t wait until the next class. I am in the best shape of my life after training for 2.5 years. If you have always wanted to try BJJ, but aren’t sure where, Eddie Camden at Tiger Academy is your place! Stop waiting until next year when you have more time. Now!

I have been training martial arts for over 40 years. There is no question that Tiger Academy is the best school I've ever been to. Sifu Eddie Camden is a prodigy and, most importantly, the best teacher and communicator or the arts I have observed. This is also a Family centric atmosphere with great facilities and it's a superior value.
