Yes. I completely agreed with everyone who wrote the reviews here this branch is doing horrible service. My husband and I had to go with them because they work with our house builder but after you locked your mortgage with them, then they've done. They just tried to be nice and answer your questions before that, after that they will ignore you with your question. For whichever changes in the documents, they just sent over via email without explaining anything. Email - no response, call - dont pick up. Will do refinance with other place but not here!

Not only the worst banking experience I've ever had but the worst experience with any business that I've ever had. I have run $12M+ through this bank and have a $2M loan. It took me five months to complete a request that should've taken less than 30 days. I had to speak to 7 different people within the bank to get what I needed and not one of them ever apologized or acknowledged the fact that they do not respond to phone calls or emails. I had to physically present at the bank, went all the way to the branch manager and finally got them to do what I asked for by yelling in the bank lobby, something I never dreamed I would have to do to get a company to move. They cost me over $50K by dragging their feet and to this day, no one has admitted there was a problem. They just look at you with a blank stare like a bunch of brain dead zombies. DO NOT WORK with their loan department. William Lingenfelter and Matt McLure are HORRIBLE. The branch manager, William Weidman, obviously leads the charge because he is HORRIBLE as well and does not do what he promises you he will do. Unbelievable! I would fire every one of them if they worked for me and treated my clients this way. We have an 8 year banking history with Synovus without a single problem until I made a request of the loan department. I have closed all four of my accounts and have transferred my Securities account as well. I will also be discussing this matter with Synovus headquarters because I'm sure they would not approve. I hope they are demoted or fired. They need to be. DO NOT GO HERE. You have been warned.

Worst Branch ever! They have a banknteller named Dale who has poor customer service skills and was rude. Choose another branch because Synovus Bank doesn't tolerate mistreatment towards their customers.

We were there today with 3 banking issues. Mr. William Wideman solved our problems and was extremely kind and courteous and professional. (Also, they were very COVID safety conscious)

Ask for Mark Hoffman! First, he has helped my wife and I countless times with purchase estimates and running different scenarios. Each time he was happy to do it and did it promptly. This past Friday I emailed him some questions about a cash out refinance with some scenarios. He responded with an explanation, but I did not understand it. A couple emails went back and forth again, but I was still not grasping the concept. Then My phone rang and it was Mark. He took the initiative to pick up the phone and call me to make sure my questions were answered. After about a 15 minute conversation it finally clicked for me. During the entire conversation Mark was patient, professional, and really wanted me to understand it. It is rare to have an employee pick up the phone and do what Mark did for a customer. I wanted to let you know his service and knowledge is greatly appreciated.Thank You so much.

Karen Rhodes is amazing. She makes purchasing a home easy. She’s honest about about what you can expect so there are no surprises. I’m strongly considering moving all of my assets to Synovus because of her! She’s amazing.

We used Theron Barbour and his team for a mortgage. Such poor communication and follow through had us homeless for 3 days which cost us over $555. The stress and headache was unacceptable. His apology of NOT doing his job correctly did nothing for us. We had no where to live with 2 dogs and a child. Do NOT use this bank or Theron Barbour for any loan unless you have no care of when it gets done.

I've had nothing but great service from Synovus Bank. David is always a joy to deal with. I like this Westside location better than any other, but I've stopped at a couple and they were all great people.

Pass on BONG (Bank of North Georgia)....Nothing to see here. Definitely no personal banking. Between their people not knowing their own products, and holding deposits for way too long, they caused me to bounce several checks which caused a WHOLE LOT of more problems downstream. I get it, everyone makes mistakes, but Kathy at the branch refused to acknowledge their mistakes, and said that I was "apparently unable to understand" what was going on. I eventually reached out to their customer support people who did in fact see what the problem was, but said I would have to go back to the branch to address.....So let me get this straight, I have to got to BONG to get them to fix a problem that they don't see, all the while they are calling me an idiot to my face.....Don't think so....Think I will change banks. After all, I am just a number to them..... This isn't the only problem we have with the Bank of North Georgia/BONG. Now they are still charging me for safe deposit box that I closed over a year ago. Can't seem to get this one fixed either as everyone wants to pass the buck. IT's just one thing after another with BONG (Bank of North Georgia).....now Synovus. What good are these branches anyway if they won't help you....Why not just go with an online bank? Just asking.

I have never encountered such curt, rude phone operator. I am not sure who she was, but she completely ruined my day. She told me that I should come in to close my account, instead of letting me speak to someone. I honestly am glad we are closing the account here because I will NEVER be spoken to like that again.
