I usually shop online and have my orders delivered, but this time I decided to have my items shipped for free to the store for pickup. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and layout of the store. The staff members were professional and friendly. Crystal was very helpful and provided exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this store.

Usually order from the catalog online and have it shipped to my home; this time I tried ship to store to check out the Avalon location. Beautiful store with roomy dressing rooms. Friendly staff suggested I try my items on to make sure they fit. Support staff even found me additional items (on sale!) that complemented my purchase.

You'll eventually lose money with these folks. It's a dirty little secret. In the end, they got around $63 from me for a top that sold for $34.99. Never again! They charge sales tax on their shipping. And a lot of their merchandise is, shall we say, sub par. Shipping isn't a mere $9.95 as their web site says. It's $9.95 PLUS TAX = $10.67. Ka-ching. (It's a corporate choice to charge not only shipping but also to tax shipping. Ask LL Bean, Lands End and the many companies with comparable or better prices and quality that don't charge shipping.) And while SS may refund the price of an item plus the item's sales tax, they won't refund the tax on the shipping. Ka ching Ka ching. It's all so-called "legit." That's their choice. I just don't like being nickel and dimed that way.

My sales lady, Cindy, went above and beyond to find me a blouse that I wanted! She actually arranged to have one waiting for me at the hotel I will be staying at in Florida! Amazing!

I need to give a 5-Star shout-out to the Fabulous Miss Angela and her sales staff at Soft Surroundings Avalon. When I misread the email that my gift for my Babe was in (turns out it had just Been shipped) she showed me what I had ordered and other options and possibilities. When it finally did come in she brought out the curb-side delivery so I wouldn't have to park. I'm a fan of their catalogs, but I highly recommend this store for your Lady's gift occasions. Miss Angela, You Are Appreciated!

These jammies are amazing. So soft and comfortable. I had major shoulder surgery and these button up the front and pull easily. They did not disappoint.

Wonderful store! So many unique items for sale! Very feminine! I have ordered from Soft Surroundings for years using catalogs and their website but the store is a completely different experience! The sales staff is so helpful! There are items in the store that are not available online or in catalogs so it is fun to go and see what is new! It is very easy to get carried away at Soft Surroundings! I always enjoy my visits!

Love this store. I often go there after I dine at Branch & Barrell, right across from each other. The clothing is so well made and you feel like a million bucks in them. Try it out, you will not be disappointed.

This company has the worst business model of any retail change I've ever seen. They sent my mother a catalog in Nov. and she asked that I order her something for Christmas. First I went to the store just down the street from her and they didn't have it at all. So I ordered it and was told it would arrive no later than second week of Dec. A week out they said it was delayed but still would be there before Christmas. A week from Christmas they said they would have that item in stock until April. I canceled the order and had to find something else to give her for Christmas. Now a month out from her birthday she found something else from their catalogue. I didn't bother going to the store and just ordered it online. They told me it would arrive in 5-7 days. The next week they said it would be delayed until 8/31. They agreed to express ship it and it arrived at the Fedex distribution center on 8/31 however from that point they lost it and its the day before her birthday and I've now got to find something else to get her. I will never again attempt to buy something from this company. The company's reply is that they print their catalogs months in advance so have no idea what is or isn't in stock when they are mailed out. I don't expect them to be in business very long.
