I was introduced to SJ Gorowitz 5 years ago by a friend. In the last 5 years they have guided me through all my tax needs, personal and business. They have been easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions with answers and solutions. If you are looking for an accounting firm, I highly recommend you call SJ Gorowitz.

I have used the outstanding services of Gorowitz since 2006. They are thorough, can handle complicated tax planning, and are quick to respond on any need. The firm is great with small business, high income closely held, personal taxes, and working with your attorney on estate planning and trusts. I particularly have appreciated their understanding of changing needs as you reach different phases of life--one size doesn't fit all and they are active in suggesting improvements. Highly recommend.

Do NOT use this company. I got audited after they filed my business tax return and am still dealing with the massive headache of it all and had to pay another firm to try to clean the disaster up. Ms. Gorowitz was very rude and stated they had made no mistakes and that they would not fix the errors free of charge. Also, whenever someone leaves a review on any of the review websites regarding a negative experience they had with them, they always reply back to the review stating they have no record of the person leaving the review being a customer of theirs so that it casts doubt on the credibility of the review. Again, real shady and unethical company. Don’t do business with them!

I know they say Jewish people are tight with their money, but this place takes the cake. Not only do they overcharge you and then want to charge you more to correct their mistakes, they also are very misleading and deceiving in their business practices. If you decide to use them for your accounting/tax preparation needs, BE SURE to read the fine print or else you’re screwed!

They are so unorganized and do not respond to calls or emails in a timely manner. Took them 4 days to get back with us, and when it comes to someone’s taxes, four days is unacceptable. They also lost my wife’s W2 (How do you do that?), so we had to contact her employer and have them send another one out to her which of course will delay us getting our refund back.

We have been using Stacey Gorowitz for our personal and business taxes for nearly 15 years. Her level of expertise and high quality of service are absolutely phenomenal. Over the years, whether we were employed, self-employed and even unemployed, Stacey's guidance has continually been so valuable to us. She is ALWAYS personally available when we need her. After all this time, we literally have zero complaints or criticism, only the highest praise for Stacey and her entire team.

I wish I had read the only other review. Do not use this firm. 1) I was charged initially when I began using this firm - under the impression it was for my taxes which they never prepared. Every time I asked a question the clock was ticking - even though I never once got a real answer. It was always it depends. Most of my questions were centered on "what do I need to track to make it easier for you at filing time?" Yet I was charged and the invoice is 18 months later? And came after I chose to use another Tax office because this place wasn't doing anything for me. 2) I asked for an extension - they filed it for my business but not personally - not sure how I can do my personal taxes without doing my business so that was the trigger that made me look elsewhere. This is common sense. 3) In addition via USPS notify I saw a letter from this office but it didn't make it to my mailbox. Not this firms issue but I emailed to find out what this letter said - after 1 week and a few "I don't know what the letter was for" the owner finally said ohh we were part of a cyber security attack and your personal information was hacked, sorry. Really and when I chose not to use you I get an invoice for what? Calls that never had answers and over 18 months later? What was the initial charge for? Plus I paid an extension charge so it's not for that. I will be looking into liability for the cyber attacks and protecting my data - which was not done nor was I properly notified. Stay away from one business owner to another. There is much more helpful an honest CPA's

There is a big difference between tax return preparation services and proactive tax planning, which can amount to substantial numbers in tax savings every year. Consider S.J.
