I was super happy brought my hamster back home last weekend and one of store assistant Patrick told me my hamster is a boy( tag also labeled as male hamster) and I paid full price( female short-hair hamster is on 50% sale). But I found out this morning that my hamster is actually a girl!!! You guys should know their gender before sell to your customer!!! Ehhh….

Year-old expired food and dead/decaying animals. I don't know where any of these positive reviews are coming from. Here's the emaciated fish I purchased as well, with completely rotted fins and dropsy. Law enforcement should get involved with how much of a health hazard this location is. If you like maggots in your pet food and your pets already pre-killed, shop here.

Patrick is the best employee at this store. Not only is he nice and understanding— but he really helped us in a bind with a mix up of food and went way out of his way to make sure we had good customer service and got the food we needed. Thank you Patrick!

Katie, the grooming manager, is fantastic! She's super knowledgeable and detail oriented. We were impressed that she had a book of various breed haircuts. Our princess looked exactly like the photo. We've been raving about Katie to everyone since our appt. 5+ stars without doubt!

I had a terrible experience with the groomer at this Petco location. She was extremely rude and impatient from the moment we walked in. She claimed my dog wasn't cooperating, but instead of trying to create a bond or take the time to calm her down, she was harsh and abrupt. She traumatized my dog. It was clear she had no interest in providing a positive experience for my pet. I would not recommend this groomer to anyone who cares about their pet's well-being and wants a compassionate and professional service. I wish I have read other people’s reviews

My husband brought our dog who has extremely short hair to be groomed and was quoted a ridiculous price as well as harassed about upgrades to shampoos and other products. Samantha obviously works off a lot of commission. Avoid!! When you call and speak to Samantha, she will start yelling at you and hang up on you. Horrible! Update: Nala was groomed at another Petco today for $98. That’s a huge difference from the quote Samantha gave of $123 with at least another $15 for a total of 138 minimum. We are so thankful for the Petco we usually use that is honest and dependable. Shame on Samantha for price gouging!

A rude and racist Manager at Alpharetta Petco.
Back Story: I bought a 75 gallon aqueon open glass tank on 30th March and due to change of plans, I went back to return the item. I paid around 85$ for the tank on my card and when I am returning within the 30 days and with Receipt, I was told I will be getting only partial amount on the card and remaining 27$ as store credit. I question why, cause based on Petco return policy if it is within 30 days and with receipt I should be receiving full refund to the original mode of payment. Cashier over there didn't know why system was showing it as store credit, so called the store manager. I didn't catch her name but she started yelling at us like that's how system works and we don't have any option. I was asking for the reason or if any other solution available. She started screaming like if you want you can take the refund in store credit or leave the store. As we got furious about the response she was providing by yelling at us, my friend also started shouting. She took that as advantage and called cops. So we had to take the tank back to other store in Milton.
As we enter Milton store, the manager Neal told that he received call from her and she said that "we are Pakistani's coming over be careful". Neal, after talking with us and listening to our side of the story understood that the we are not the problem. He helped us resolve the issue and apologized for her behavior on behalf of Petco. Even though Alpharetta Petco is nearer to my home, I will be going to Milton Petco instead. I would suggest the same for others. If I have a option to give zero/negative stars I would give that to this location.

Took Barkley in for grooming, and our baby looked so handsome when Samantha finished with him. We were nervous since we had bad grooming sessions with another chain. She took her time explaining what she was going to do. She spent time with Barkley before the session and rested mama's nerves. He's an Australian Shepard, and she brought him back to looking like his old self. As long as she is at this location, we will only book with Samantha! Thank you for putting up with me and making me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby!

Took our little crazy rescue "Lady" in for her rabies vaccination. Staff were extremely nice due to Lady being quite nervous. Everything went well. Very happy!

Friendly manager actually came to buy fish , she explained a lot about their snakes as my son was very curious. She showed us a lot of Snakes. We love to visit again.

This store should hire less racist young kids or their staff should know more about legal laws. I went there with my kids and Ms. Briana ( Zabriya on her Petco tag ) refused to sell me 2 fishes ( $ 2.99 each ). She stated that I would not give them the proper care.....such of conclusión and we guess it could be because of my accent!
I was asking questions about the care of the fishes and wanted to buy a bottle for the maintenance of the water. I asked to speak with the manager and Ms Zabriya refused to tell me when the next manager will come since hers was on vacation.
I had been going there for several years , and never happened this before. We go and buy two fishes and celebrate our 3000 years tradition with $2.99 fishes and care about the fishes as much as we can with our children. We DO the same every year !!!
Shame on Ms Racist Zabriya jumping to conclusions! Run to another store, but not this one where they are racist and decline to sell you 2 small fishes.
