I've been to this guy a few times in the last few years and finally learned my lesson. He re-soled a pair of boots (for $120 which I thought was really high) but then after only a few months the new soles started peeling away from the boots. He had re-soled another pair of boots and I had had a similar issue, and I brought it back thinking he would fix it for free (because he had done a poor job) but he charged me to fix the show that he hadn't fixed properly the first time. They do poor work, are quite expensive, and have zero personality or customer service skills. But mostly they do poor work.

The rudest people in a small business in the area. Don’t waste your time dealing with them. Go somewhere else !!! I was mortified by being treated so poorly when asking for simple information about a shoe repair.

They did a great job, and it was all done on time. I brought in leather boots and they totally redid the soles and heels. Looks great!

I took a pair of shoes in to have rubber straps sewn on them. They were very nice and did a good job, but I thought $35 was a bit high for 50 cents worth of product and 5 minutes of work

You guys ruined my boots. I paid you twice to fix the zipper. 2nd time I went in to give you the boot, you put glue on my boots at the bottom of the zipper area. Why would you do that? All you needed to do was replace the little zipper piece. That’s what I had done by another shoe repair. Now I have I removable glue on my $400 Frye boot. I just can’t understand why would you try to remove the zipper and then glue it back sideways? Awful! Please be ware.

Sign on door says that they open at 10:00. At 10:05 I called to find out when they are opening and the lady on the phone "We normally we open at 10:00 but having problems today won't be there till 10:30". Already been waiting in the parking lot half an hour because I had other business in the area and did not want to drive back home and return on 30 minutes - waste of gas and time. If you're going to post hours of operation then you need to stick to them. This will be the last time I do business with this place. Make sure your customers come first. You already took my money when I drop the shoes off a week ago, so no skin off your teeth.

This place is honestly much better than other shoe repairs in the area; the workers arent too good at english, but they make up for it with their kind and responsive attitude

This was not a good experience for me. Maybe they just don't do sneakers well. I brought in an unworn pair of sneakers that had some yellowing on the midsole due to age. I just wanted to restore the white of the midsole with some shoe paint. I paid $40 and the shoes looked exactly the same as when I dropped them off. The shoes didn't even need a cleaning. Just whiten the midsole as I asked. I should have just done this myself and saved my money. Or maybe taken them to the shoe repair store in the mall.

My wife went in for half soles and was quoted $25 for her flats. She paid and we returned a week later to find that ONLY the tips were repaired with a small piece of rubber on each shoe. When told, I never requested toe tips, she was responded to with the fact toe tips were $25 not half soles. The owner would do nothing and insisted $25 was their rate for toe tips. We had dealt with the previous owner for years and there was never a question or complaint. Rubber toe tips are usually between $12 and $15 per pair for flats. Of course we didn't order toe tips so paid for half soles... Never going back to Old Alabama Shoe and Wallet Repair shop.

I have been coming here often to get my shoes fixed I must say I am extremely satisfied. The shop owners are very friendly and can help get your shoes repaired and back to you quickly. I always destroy my stiletto heels but once I get them repaired from this shop, they never mess up after that. I've gotten rain boots, winter boots, stilettos and even red bottoms fixed here. The quality of their repairs are amazing !

I'm beyond pleased. Customers pay in advance; the price is fair and the turnaround quick. I expect Model will be my shoe repair shop for years to come and have no hesitation about recommending it.
