I took my 1999 F150 in to get a new muffler and tail pipe. after getting an change at another location about 1.5 months later, it was noticed that the tail pipe was installed too close to the back shock. It melted the shock housing.I went back to Midas to show them the problem. The mechanic agreed the mistake was made, but they would have to get permission from the regional manager, Erik Passaro, before they would correct problem and replace the shock. Expecting a call the next day, never happened, In fact, Erik never called me, so after stopping by to get he issue resolved and waiting 2 weeks, I had to call Midas corporate and got a case #, but was told to give it 10 days for a reply from Erik. Again no reply. I called back corporate and they said the repair was approved, and they were a bit surprised I had not receive a call to schedule appt. to fix.Finally, after about 6 weeks from my initial notice to Midas about the mistake, Erik did answer my phone call and we schedule an appt to fix tail pipe position and replace the one shock.I made the request that both shocks should be replaced, (a common practice) and that would be will to pay for the part cost for the one shock, but felt the labor portion should be covered by them. Midas agreed, but then went on to tell me the cost of one new shock would be about $250. I said that seemed pretty high. So they said that a medium cost would then be $150 for one shock. I ask them the brand and type shock, and then called an auto part store to get my price for two and my assumption was correct. $190 for two Monroe Performance shocks at local parts store.At this point, I felt like I was at their mercy to get the problem corrected so agreed to pay the $161.63 (after tax was included). When I looked under the truck to see if both replaced, the shocks were two different colors. I mentioned this to Midas and their reply was that they came that way.At this point I just gave up and left.Bottom line is the customer service here was some of the worst I have ever experienced. This could have all been avoided if when the mechanic realized he installed pipe wrong, he had the authority to set up appt right then.I'm not sure what the regional manager's job is, as he never called me once. I I never met him even though he was there at times (but always busy)I would give 0 stars if I could.

Thoroughly checked everything over when my tire pressure light came on. Very kind and knowledgeable. I only stopped here bc it happened to be close by when my light came on but will definitely return for maintenance.
