As many other reviewers have said. This location has 0 customer service. The store manager does not seem to understand that the reason they are there is the customer.

I frequently shop at Madewell & always enjoy the time I am in the store. I went into this Alpharetta location to browse. I walk in and two associates are at the register & do not greet me. No big deal. I find a piece of clothing in the sales rack & it has a red mark STRIKE through the price. I assume from previous shopping at Madewell that the price might be lower than the price on the tag. So I proceed to the front register to ask what is the actual price of the piece of clothing. As I am asking, one of the associates gives an attitude as I am not even fully done with my question about the price. It was in a rude manner & I was applauded that she would respond to a customer in that manner. It is unprofessional & unnecessary to give an attitude to a customer who would likely be purchasing from the store. I did not purchase the item due to the unfriendliness. As I proceed to leave one associate did ask if I needed help, she was kind & cared. I will stick to the Buckhead location.

My time at Madewell is usually super positive and I frequent this particular location at Avalon. When I went to shop there this weekend the sales associate Bella was kind, charming, and very attentive. Unfortunately once I got to the register I was met with a level of unprofessionalism that I have never encountered at this location. For my transaction I had both cash & card and informed the associate that I would like to split my bill between the two and also use my Madewell discount/ reward like I often do. During this interaction I blanked on which email to give the associate and told her that it would just take me a moment to pull up the correct one to which she very condescendingly said, “wow, you don’t know your email?” I was taken aback by the sharpness of her comment and let her know that I would just need a second. I am a BUSY WORKING woman and forgetting my email associated with the store I shop at frankly isn’t my most pressing thing to remember. Once figuring it out, she made a huge hassle of splitting my receipt between the card & cash I had firstly informed her of and was UNKIND, UNPLEASANT, and RUDE. I am already dealing with work and a death in my family, her manner of handling customers was wholly unprofessional and could’ve angered a customer who’s just as fragile as me right now to tears. I simply come to Madewell to do my USUALLY HAPPY weekend shopping. More often than not I spend upwards of $200-400 almost every trip. I pay a lot only to be treated like I am lesser, and like I am not a person. The associate responsible for this was listed as Sue E. on my receipt. Earlier today I tried to get in contact with Madewell via telephone to speak to a manager and was sent straight to voicemail. I hope my concern can be addressed in a timely manner.

These ladies up front are very selective about whom they choose to greet at the door, they are in for a huge surprise. You would walk in and they are all gathered to talk about their favorite shows and restaurants around Atlanta. It is a shame since some of them are older and should know better. We were thinking of writing corporate in New York.

This was my first time in a Madewell store. This location is so well put together and merchandised. The sales associate Marya, was beyond helpful and so kind. She helped me find the perfect sizes and figure out what fit best on me. I will definitely be back to this location!

Extremely disappointed in this store. I buy almost all of my clothes from madewell and was excited to see that they have a store in Avalon. When I arrived I was extremely disappointed to find out that they did not carry any of their mens clothing in this location. This is extremely dumb in my opinion and has made me re think who I purchase my clothes from. Sad to say I no longer will be purchasing madewell because of this.

My friend and I went to the Madewell at Avalon in Alpharetta on 8/14. We were helped by Anna. She was so kind. She made sure to check on us and ensured we had the right sizes. Pam helped me at the register and was kind as well.

Hallie went above and beyond to make for a great store experience the other day. Had great jean recommendations and was so nice! This location has had less than stellar service historically and I’ve noticed a huge shift in the last year. Hope this location keeps up the great work I love shopping here!

Love Madewell Clothing. I was gifted a Madewell whisper soft t-shirt and love it. While at Avalon today, I stopped in to look around. Everyone was really nice and the store looked beautiful. I found my T-shirt and bought three in Fall colors. Love the clothing. They have both men and womens clothing.

The store manager needs a refresher in identifying racial bias in customer service! I had placed an online order and received my item with the sensor still attached. This location is 10 minutes away from me, so I figured I would drive to the store and get it removed. When I walked in the associate at the register did try to help me as well as another associate but were unable to remove the sensor. The manager was right beside the associates at the register and in ear shot of the conversation. Before she even came to help the associate verified my purchase by looking at my receipt. When the manager came over she asked what was the problem and she showed the associates where the correct sensor was located. She then grabs the jeans (from the associate) and put them beside the sensor remover and then stopped. She proceeds to say “before I take this off and remove it I need to see your receipt”! Loud enough for majority of the customers up front to hear as well as the people waiting in line.THE ASSOCIATE AT THE REGISTER HAD ALREADY VERIFIED MY PURCHASE AND HAD SEEN MY RECEIPT!!! I don’t know why she didn’t ask her own associate! I told her I wouldn’t come into the store with the sensor still attached if I didn’t buy them. I showed her my receipt and she immediately saw that I purchase said item. She removed the sensor and tries to make light of the situation by making a joke about secret shoppers. Was she trying to say that I don’t look like a typical shopper of madewell? And that the only way I could shop here was to be a secret shopper! Or was she judging my appearance to see if I could even shop/ buy something from madewell? By then I felt disrespected, it was already awkward, embarrassing, and I was ready to go. I felt profiled. Even though the location is in an affluent area you should not judge customers on racial appearance. I spend a lot of money here and she would see that by looking at my rewards profile. As I was leaving I didn’t even receive an apology for having to come in to the store to fix a mistake that I didn’t make. The store managers name is either Lisa or Isa. She is Caucasian with dark brown/black hair.

I came in to exchange a pair of jeans and the manager was very gracious in working with me on the exchange into a new size that fit. Thank you for the kind service. Manager is Heather.
