Lenn Chadwick an employee at the Lummus Oakwood location has got to be the biggest narcissist as a human being can be. Really sad. I’ve spoken to employees beneath him and they concur with that. A little man that berates everyone besides himself. Today’s society doesn’t accept that behavior anymore. Why he has employment is beyond me. Hiding behind his Dungeons and Dragon beard bringing sadness to the world. Hopefully Lummus can reposition him so no one has to deal with this man’s anger.

Wow -- don't even bother with these guys. Met with Ray to review plans and agree to a timeline for an estimate. After the expected completion time passed, multiple emails and voicemails every other week go unreturned -- almost 3 months now. Went back into the Store and he wouldn't even come talk to me. Guy at the reception wouldn't even make eye contact. There are some good reviews here, but they are older, so something has clearly changed.. I get that they are busy but just the courtesy of setting exceptions would be helpful. Maybe better luck at another location....?

Ordered 4 simple doors and they kept screwing up the order. Don’t order here unless you want to wait, no return phone calls and a sense of urgency of a sloth. Upper mgmt doesn’t care either. Look elsewhere in Atlanta to do business because this family business doesn’t care anymore.

I could not buy from them. I requested a quote on email with drawings, visited the office, emailed, visited in person again; they were not responsive. One other review was right on - if you go in person, they'll act offended that you'd bother wasting their time.

During our home renovation, our general contractor used Lummus for many items to include LVL beams, i-josts, front door, windows, locksets, and more. There were so many recessed beams going into our house that we asked our general contractor to have everything reviewed by an engineer. Guess what? Our general contractor insisted that we use Lummus because they provide these types of services too! Documentation of the beam layouts and load calculations were included. This is truly a one stop shop! Regarding beams, joists, and engineering, you can see from the pictures that our project included removing a laundry room to open up a kitchen into the dining room. If you look at the pics taken after the beams were installed, you can see how these awesome beams have opened up the house. The contractor and Lummus engineer even determined how to use i-joists to change the direction of the old joists in order to get plumbing and electrical through. In our opinion, the only thing that could have been better with the service provided by Lummus is making sure the loads were transferred down through the foundation better. We noticed what we thought was a bowed window frame in the basement possibly from all the weight transferred from above. The contractor had the Lummus engineer return the next day, and he determined the correct beam to install in the basement. We received many compliments on our new windows and door. They are very nice and bring a fresh look to our home! The only thing that could have been better is the darkness and shading of the window. My wife was only presented one option when the general contractor sent her to the Lummus showroom. Later on, I learned that there are few factors that go into a windows performance rating. If you decide to buy windows, please research Visible Transmittance! It is important. Please see the pictures for the window performance sticker. This seems like a good company with very comprehensive line of products and services!!

Non-white people need not waste their time going into this place I walked in and the guy looked at me like I was going to rob the place. His greeting was "what do you want". He told me that they don't do window installs. I had just spoken to someone on the phone who said that they did. I wouldn't spend a dime with these people.
