Moving back to GA soon and immediately knew I would be taking all of my girls to see Jill and Dr. Johansen. Jill is an EXCEPTIONAL Vet Tech that has been an integral part of caring for my girls. She is attentive and makes sure my girls are always taken care of and that I have all of my questions answered. Dr. Johansen is an EXCEPTIONAL vet who took my concerns seriously and helped my dogs through very difficult illnesses and scary moments, and helped us through the unexpected loss of another animal. This is such a dynamic duo and you cannot go wrong with coming to see them!

I have been going to Haynes bridge animal hospital and seeing Dr. Bowes for a while and he’s taken excellent care of my angels! I have frenchies and it’s always something so we’re there a lot haha! I usually booked with any tech since everyone is great but since Jill has been there I always book my appointments with her as the tech! My babies are obsessed with her! Super professional warm and fuzzy with my fur children! Highly recommend this practice!

I can’t say enough about how great they are at Haynes Bridge Animal Hospital. Dr Johansen and Jill have been my tripawd’s vet team since I rescued him 3 years ago and I could not think of a better team to have caring for him. They genuinely love what they do and care about the animals. Jill takes great care of him, and he loves her and Dr Jo so much. Never thought I’d see a dog so happy to visit the vet. And I know with them or anyone at Haynes Bridge he is in good hands.

Dr. Bowes is a fantastic veterinarian who has played such a tremendous role in the well-being (and survival) of my two pups. A little bit of the backstory: my family wanted to adopt a rescue and in 2020 found a sweet dog that was 1 of 38 saved from a hoarding situation. Our little guy's paperwork indicated he was an underweight miniature dachshund about 2-3 years' old. I knew that I wanted to find a more local vet practice rather than one I could find in a retail pet store, and after some research I decided on Lafferty Animal Clinic (now Haynes Bridge Animal Hospital) which had great reviews. After spending a significant amount of time with Oscar during our initial visit, Dr. Bowes looked at me with concern and said "I've got some news"... I was shocked to hear that Oscar was not 2-3 years' old... he was likely 9-10, had a pretty significant heart condition and had a fairly developed cataract in one eye. This was quite the opposite view I had been provided by the rescue, but I was committed to this dog. I knew I had found the right person in Dr. Bowes to guide me in how best to help this sweet, geriatric dog live the fullest life in his remaining years. Dr. Bowes has been absolutely amazing. He is very kind, strategic in his thinking and explains things in a way that makes non-medically trained people not feel dumb. He clearly loves what he does and always treats Oscar (who is as grumpy as his name would lead you to believe) with such empathy and compassion.
Around two months from our initial visit, I carried Oscar into the office in a panic because he was lethargic and seemed to have quickly developed a growth under his tongue that was impeding his breathing. Dr. Bowes saw him (without an appointment), gave Oscar fluids and meds and took a biopsy; he told me to brace myself in the interim and said he would call me with the lab results. Thank God the tumor was benign, but Oscar still needed to have surgery to remove the growth and Dr. Bowes already had someone in his network who was able to perform the surgery at the clinic within a week's time. It has been an up and down journey with this sweet dog, and Dr. Bowes has been with us during each peak and valley. I am forever grateful to you, Dr. Bowes - thank you!!!
We adopted another dog and this practice has become part of our family. I will be forever grateful for the amazing team of vets (we have also seen Dr. Taylor and Dr. Johansen, both of whom are equally kind and reassure you with their calm demeanor and thorough but solution-focused approach). I also want to share that the staff at this practice is top notch - they are just as patient, positive and kind - even when my two are being difficult or ornery. This type of partnership where you know the veterinarians will give you honest and candid recommendations while helping you to understand the short and long term outcomes is something that is immeasurable. I realize I've given the long version here but if I had to summarize with the short version: this is THE practice you want to be a part of your dog or cat's life! You won't regret bringing your furbabies here.

Dr. Johansen was so nice and very helpful during my little guys visit. She did a very thorough exam and was able to determine a treatment plan for him. She answered all of my million and one questions and left feeling like I understand what’s wrong and not left blindly meditating.

My lab, Maci Jo, is 80 lbs of pure anxiety at the vet. We have been coming here for 3 years and everyone is always so kind and helpful to us when we are there. Amy took care of us yesterday and was so sweet to my scared girl! Anna is another tech who is so patient with Maci. I have not met the new doctors, but we love Dr. Bowes!

Excellent service. Two of their staff members actually helped me get my 95 pound dog out of my car and got her in to the vets office for her treatments I have also used their home visits several times that is a tremendous help because my dog is so afraid to go to the vet office.
