The upholstery material leaves alot to be desired and the staff is not informative and there is always a long line to check out. I dabble in sewing and really need assistance. Can't get it here.

12/27/2023 - I have always enjoyed going to this location. Their papercrafting dept. was always well stocked. Not sure if it was post-Christmas reason, but very diminished stock. I'm hoping this is not a trend, as the Duluth location always looks like this (all year).Also noticed a lot of their lights were out in papercrafting dept., which doesn't lend to a good shopping experience either. Hope this location doesn't "disappear " in 2024.Although few employees, they have always been pleasant and knowledgeable.

Despite only having 3 people working in the store due to corporate decisions, it was a pleasure to shop there today. The manager, Dan, was working the register with a long line of customers waiting. Mr. Dan was patient, professional and very thorough with a big return I had. Despite the difficult working conditions, he made today very easy. Kindness goes a long way when employees are forced to work understaffed and underpaid. Online ordering was horrific this year, and his apology went a long way in restoring my commitment to shop at Joann’s again.?

During Christmas only 2 people on register! The two people at checkout are moving slow intentionally! They need to staff the register. This is disrespectful to the customer. Also there internet isn't working.

This is probably the best big box craft store in our area, but it seems every time I go there is a smaller and smaller selection of wool and wool sock yarns in the yarn section. It’s almost winter, so you would think they’d order some more for the cold weather!

The reviews about the staff are true. I wished I read those before going out of my way to this particular store. I only chose it because it had more of what I wanted. They seem like they just can’t be bothered. I understand being busy and short handed but there’s a line.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I came into the store to get fabric and had a question about the selection. My boyfriend and I had approached the manager (11-7-23 around 6pm) who was unboxing items toward the back of store since no one was working the fabric cutting station. My boyfriend approached him and said “excuse me.” The manager didn’t even turn around and lookup and responded with “yeah?” Then the manager turned around to look at me and I have never received such an evil, disgusted look in my life. I immediately said “nevermind” and started to walk away. The manager started to backtrack and ask what we needed help with. I continued to respond with “I’m good.” I’m truly disgusted that I was looked at like this. I will never be shopping at Joanne’s again after this. Do better.

I just stopped by to find sewing crafts to do with my granddaughter. I asked the man at the register a question and he really did not act like he cared to really help. I found what I was looking for and went to the register. Same man at register went I went to check out. He was talking on his radio and did not acknowledge me. I stood there waiting to be acknowledged and another customer walked up and he asked if he could help her. He had never even acknowledged my presence at the register and then just took another customer. After she left and I asked about ignoring me and not helping he said he did not know I was waiting to check out even though I was at the register! If he had acknowledged my presence he would have known. I was trying to be polite while he was on the radio and the thanks I get is to be totally ignored. I probably will not go back here. There are other locations.

Most inefficient store ever.Paid online via Venmo. Doing a return for $13. Unable to refund to Venmo. Over $10 can’t refund cash.Require name & driver license to issue a $13 in store credit! ?♀️

Please work on ordering ribbon. There is no reason basic color ribbon should be constantly sold out. If it selling out, order more for backstock and have it ready. I am okay with paying a higher price for convenience of it being available locally, but if I am constantly driving to find it sold out over and over, I have no choice but to order bulk from China. This is why these businesses are failing. Also, what's up with half the lights in the store being out? Come on... so dark in here I need a flashlight...

So we bought two pieces of material and we were told to wash them before we made tablecloths out of them. One of the pieces had two holes in it. Well guess what, Jo-Ann fabrics won't take it back because they said we washed it. That sucks, don't shop here. There are many other fabric stores that have much better customer service.

Came here to get fabric that was said to have 5 yards online. Put a pickup order in but decided to just grab the material myself and came to find out they didn't have it. The woman that was helping me told me that the online number is not really accurate because "people can just walk out with fabric like that". Will not be back to this location. Employee was rude and seemed inconvenienced by helping me.
