Calvin is a horrible businessman. My husband and I have been dealing with his back and forth lies since March. He attempted some vehicle repairs but did not complete the job in full. We’ve gone through insurance and have been unsuccessful with getting this part in our possession. Calvin was supposed to order and install a headlight back in March. It is now September and the light still has not been fixed. He stated it was cracked and he would be ordering a new one. We have yet to get this issue resolved and are now taking legal action. He has received multiple payments from my insurance and warranty company. He also requires payment up front even though services have not nor will be rendered. STAY AWAY FROM FINNEY’S. He doesn’t answer phone calls or respond to text messages. You have to physically go in person and show your face to be taken seriously. It’s pathetic. He has also blocked me from calling and texting his phone.Service: Auto body & trim repair

I bought a Discovery from Calvin in late 2020 and it was a great experience. However, I needed to part ways with the vehicle earlier this year and had Calvin sell it for me. This was three months ago and he has not given me the money from the sale and seems to have gotten himself into some serious financial trouble. He refuses to respond to texts or calls about this money. He will pop up every few weeks claiming he will get it to me this week but then goes dark again. Simple promises to give me a phone call are never kept. I am now having to take legal action and get the police involved. Please avoid Finney's Cars at all costs.

I own two vintage Land Rovers - a 2008 Range Rover HSE and a 2001 Discovery II SE7. I used a European repair shop for many years very close to my home, but they recently told me they were not interested in the older models. So guess what? They no longer have my business. I contacted a long time auto broker friend who recommended Finney's Cars in Alpharetta, and I have never looked back. They essentially rebuilt the top of my Disco engine along with a new driveshaft, Cat converter, power steering pump/lines, hoses, belts, wires, plugs etc. and it runs smooth as silk now with 165k miles. These guys know Land Rovers!

My BMW 528i was rear-ended by a dump truck on 03/07/22. I contacted my insurance company to report it instead of waiting on the other driver's insurance company and decided to let my insurance pay for the damages and then have them recover it from the other company. They offered recommended companies to complete the repairs, but I declined to utilize their services. My husband has been personal friends with Calvin Finney for many years and he has worked on several of our cars throughout the years so I felt that we should utilize his services and give him our business. Less than a week after the accident my car was towed to his shop for him to begin the work. He was paid by my insurance company almost immediately to complete the work. From the onset, there was excuse after excuse about parts taking longer than usual to come in. That was understandable initially until it became evident that he was not being truthful about what was delaying the process. I was told that the car would be finished "this week" more times than I can count. By this time the other driver's insurance company had gotten involved since they were paying for a rental car for me. Weekly they would call him to get an update on the progress and there was a string of excuses and missed deadlines. After my car had been there for at least two months he had it sent to another automotive shop and contracted the owner there to do some of the bodywork. I was told that it would be complete in three weeks. Three months later the other shop finally said that they had completed their portion of the work and they were waiting on Calvin to pick it up to take it back to his shop to have the rear windshield put in. Once it was at his shop when the windshield was supposed to be put in he told me that the window installer had an emergency and could not put it in. By this time the other insurance company stopped paying for the rental car because they felt that the amount of time to get the repairs done was excessive. When they stopped paying Calvin took over the payments. Weekly I had to call, send text messages, and send cash app requests to have him send the money for the rental. When the windshield installer that he had lined up fell through I found someone online to go to his shop and install it. I finally got my car back after nearly six months and was very disappointed to find that there was a multitude of issues. My FM radio no longer worked. The sensors in the front and back do not work when someone walks close to the car or I pull close to something. There are lights on saying that there are problems with the chassis stabilization and the parking brake is not working. When I attempt to crank up the car with the push start I get a message that the remote is not present. Then I'll get a message telling me to hold the remote by the steering column. The doors do not unlock when I get close to the car anymore. I have to physically push the button on the remote. When I get out of the car and lock it I have to be very close to the car or it will not lock when before I could be a good distance away. The trunk no longer opens with the remote and doesn't close by pushing the button inside the trunk. I have to physically push the trunk closed. The lining inside the trunk is torn. The number emblems were missing and I had to order more. He claimed he would order more but I'm sure that was most likely not true. The tint on the back windshield did not match the tint on the other windows so I had to call a mobile window tinter to correct it. His hands got cut while doing the installation because there are shards of glass all over the back seat and on the ledge in front of the rear window. The light on the window has a piece broken off so the light doesn't sit properly. And on and on. I took the car back to the second shop that Calvin contracted with to do the painting, etc. for him to put the car on his machine and see what codes came up. Apparently, it has been wired incorrectly and this is causing all of the indicator lights to go haywir

Great Classic Rover shop. Not many places are willing to touch or do I trust working on our 2003 Disco. Bought from Jay, built by Calvin, and for 2 instances where we needed help and local shops were clueless, I put it on a truck and had it shipped to them. Knowing that they know what they are doing is worth the $300 transport cost for our Rover. If you have a classic car and care about it, this is the shop for you!Service: Engine repair

In October 2020 my wife had oil in the plugs of her 2016 Volvo XC90. I took the car to Calvin who diagnosed a bad lifter ring on the pistons. He ordered and installed a new kit in December 2020 for the tune of $4,000. The car still won't run so he says it needs a replacement engine. I front him another $3,000 amd in March he gives me a final charge of $3,713 which I pay and says engine is in and will be installed. I was hit by a car in February so dealing with the injury and healing had me a bit out of the game. April and May go by, still no car. I tell him it needs to go to Volvo, he tells me the car was sent to a tech. I call Volvo in Alpharetta, Calvin never sent the car! Finally get the car to Volvo who has it fixed and running in two weeks. I have paid Calvin a total of over $11,000, I got $4,000 credited back from my CC and he won't return calls or texts to return the money I fronted him for the new engine which he never ordered. Stay Away! Dishonest and unwilling to correct his mistakes.

Calvin has been the guy who I send my Land Rover to since I picked it up. Bought the car from him and have trusted him with it ever since. The price points are cheaper than the dealership, and they are honest. The people there are all great people and very kind.
