I am BEYOND disappointed with this Crate and Barrels design team!!! In march we had a design representative named Susan come and take measurements of our home, this was on a Sunday- she said she would reach out that Wednesday to schedule a meeting to review her furniture designs with us. Wednesday came and nothing. I waited to send a follow up email for the Wednesday following the original date she said she would contact me. NEVER got a reply. A week after that (so two weeks later) I called the store to tell them I have not heard anything from their design person, they put Susan on the phone and she told my husband and I we were “next on her list to call” and she scheduled us for Saturday April 13 to meet with her. My husband and I drove an hour to meet with her and guess what- she said we were not on her books. She didn’t try to accommodate us or anything. In fact she said the designs were not done. She told me she was sorry and would send me the designs via email and schedule a time to meet. I called to let the store know what happened because despite her apology that felt like the second time I was forgot about as she never emailed me like she originally said she would. The store said they would have the furniture manager call me- did they….NO. But Susan emailed me on Saturday after I complained apologizing again and reiterating she’d send the designs to me on Monday. Well here it is Monday at 6pm and NO EMAIL. My husband and I bought our first home and have no furniture. We have waited over a month at this point because we waited for her to come to our house to measure and we’re obviously waiting for her designs. We were so excited to buy furniture from her/ them. I don’t know this for a fact but it feels like because my Husband and I are young that there was a potential bias and that we were not taken seriously as clients. But BIG LOSS! We were the perfect clients as we needed literally everything and they chose to basically sell us NOTHING. Thanks for wasting our time Crate and Barrel of Avalon!!

I stopped in one day after work to quickly pick up a birthday gift I needed that evening. A nice woman working there realized I was in a bit of a rush and asked if I needed help. Within 3 minutes she helped me find an appropriate gift and I paid and was on my way. Very helpful staff and a pleasant experience.

Had a very discriminatory experience at this location today. My fiancé and I visited to start our wedding registry, we were so excited. We were in the store for 20 minutes before any employee greeted or acknowledged us at all. We told them we were setting up our registry and they gave us a paper to fill out, and we did. Shortly after that, another couple came in also completing their registry. They however got a tour around the store and a gift for registering. My fiancé and I received neither of those things. The only difference between us and the other couple was that they looked much “more expensive” than my fiancé and myself did. We were both in jeans and decent sweaters, whereas this other couple had on very obviously high end outfits. Very dissatisfied with this experience and will be removing all items from my registry from Crate and Barrel. Unless you choose to dress the part, I would not recommend this store.

Bought a sofa. Sofa upolstery is terrific. But the cushion stuffing material broke down within only a few months. Those original cushions were replaced and the replacements also broke down within a few months. Check the cushions carefully and consider this before making a purchase. I have owned several comfortable sofas over the years. This sofa is very uncomfortable.Our sales person was wonderful as was the other Staff. They are all very nice & easy. Perhaps, and in this case, we think they are not aware of the substandard quality of this particular sofa brand. Before our purchase, the cushions felt very comfortable. To fix this, the company would need to replace the entire sofa. That option has been suggested or offered.

It turns out to be a furniture store, yet it offers a complete range of kitchenware with good quality. The prices are reasonable, and I appreciate the spacious glass design. When sunlight spills onto the sofa or bed, it still gives a sense of being at home.☺️

My experience with DESIGN EXPERT, Becca Martin was so professional and above and beyond! She actually came over to us and we were only there to shop at your store on our way back from vacation. Not only did she sell us a sectional couch we bought a rug and floor lamp. She also assisted us with future purchases for dining area. She was very knowledgeable on all products. She is my must-see person whenever I come back. Thank you so much Becca for you kind and outstanding customer service. Sheila

Very disappointed in Christmas offering at C&B. Maybe we got there late this year, but the products were few and blah. We normally spend a good bit of money on plates, ornaments, candles, goodies, etc., but zero yesterday. I think the grinch took over as buyer. Sad.

Attempted to return Staub cast iron pot. The pot was shipped directly by Staub, yet C&B could not find the purchase in their system. We have to wait 1-2 days for our credit, assuming we receive it.

Terrible customer service! Ordered an item 10/14 and was told it was in stock and would arrive in a few days. Called back a week later was told it had shipped and had a tracking number and would arrive in a couple of days. Called back 10/27 was told it had not shipped but would ship that day and they would pay for express shipping and would arrive by Monday. Received an email that it shipped Monday. The amount of lying from the staff is an embarrassment.

My wife and I needed to purchase a couple items for our home and chose Crate & Barrel amongst all the many other great options out there. Unfortunately, although the furniture and items they sell are of very good quality, their order fulfillment and customer service are by far, the very worse we’ve ever experienced. Even store staff from several different C&B stores told us their customer service was horrible and we purchase from stores like West Elm, Bassett, Pier One whose customer service is great to give some context.Some of the items, we purchased at C&B ,we were told were in stock while others were on back order. We made our purchase back in June of 2023. I have to say after several calls with customer service and stores, where we made our purchase, several months of frustration dealing with incompetent customer service and unauthorized charges and billing confusion on our account caused by them, we finally received our last piece furniture. My wife and I vowed to never again purchase from Crate & Barrell…EVER!!!! There are many other options out there. Sincerely, if you want to save yourself what I just explained , look elsewhere for your furniture needs. All the best
