Arlparetta Animal Hospital has changed their business model and shrunk the staff of doctors down from eight to three. We have used their services for more than 30 years and were treated as valued customers. We just had an appointment there and everything went smoothly. Sorry, I miss several of the vets that have left and the friendly atmosphere that I experienced previously. The three stars reflects my opinion of the atmosphere and new 'rules', not the vet who took good care of our dogs.

This place is a nightmare now, we used them for years. We loved Dr. Keller, he was great. Once he left the entire place went down the drain. Can't even get anyone to answer the phone to transfer records to a new vet..

DO NOT GO HERE! They lost my pets ashes of 20 years! Along with that when I brought my cat into my euthanized they were rude as hell! Extreme uncaring behavior! I won’t forgive you for taking away my closure!

Tried to have Dr Sims call me to talk about my dogs skin condition as the vet she referred me to hasn’t returned my multiple calls and I couldn’t get an appt. She had someone call me to say she had referred me to a skin specialist in March. Well I needed to speak to her but she obviously can’t be bothered. Check yelp reviews. People are not happy with this facility she is uncaring and unconcerned and I needed tests done but will have to go somewhere else. Very unhappy

I've been using this vet since 1996. Always pleased with the care and the vet care. Front staff were always helpful.Even during covid they were great! However several of their best vets have left and imo only one remains who is an excellent diagnostic vet that looks for cause vs just treating symptoms by "the book"I was disappointed that they discontinued walk ins. I can make an appt but if you have an acute situation and they are "filled" you're usually out of luck even though they do try to accommodate after you ask the front desk to ask a doctor. Not having Saturday hours even for walk ins is a huge disappointment. The front staff has turned over a few times and quite frankly with the turn over to their new computer system/software/phone upgrade, several of my booked appts were either not updated or removed. So I was out of luck. Hopefully they have worked the kinks out.I still whole heartily recommend this hospital but always recommend a specific doctor who has been there since we began going there, who is a 10 out of 10. I gave a 3 rating only because of the procedural changes that have been implemented. Otherwise it would have been a 5.

Dr Sims referred me to a specialist which after several attempts, (months) never called me back. when I asked the clinic if she could call me, she was unconcerned and had a clinic member call me to tell me she had made a referral to a specialist. yea I know, my dog has been suffering with skin issues and she can't be bothered to return a call. She is both uncaring and unconcerned. I actually wanted to come in and have her test for something else but now I will NEVER be back. Listen, we are all busy but if you can sleep at night with the way you treat your clients... so be it. I will move on and you won't care at ALL!

--Location/Parking-- Located in the heart of Alpharetta. My GPS always directs me coming from 400 to drive coming in on the east side. Since there are only about 8 parking spots in front of the hospital, it makes sense to drive in from the east side. --Ambience-- Wait room can sit about 10 to 12 people. There were plenty of seats in the wait area. Felt like a small hospital with a 5 or 6 staff running around. --Service/Staff-- The staff was friendly. On my first visit, I wish the staff would help set up a follow visit. I had to call back and setup a follow up visit recommended by the doctor. My next visit in 3 months has not even been schedule yet. My gripe is I wish they would read the chart on when to schedule the next appointment. --Capacity-- Not difficult to make an appointment. Parking lot can get full, but I had no trouble finding a spot in front of the hospital. --Overall-- I would be back because of the recommendations and care they had for Rémy. My old animal

After using Alpharetta Animal Clinic for 20 years we’re looking for a new vet. The services have changed, the prices are significantly higher, and they aren’t as compassionate as they have always been. The fact that they are closed on Saturday for vet services is definitely a deal killer. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that our favorite Dr’s have left also.

We set an appointment for the same day for one of my Pomeranians, who had developed a strong diarrhea and the team there took care of us really fast. We went in at 5.30 pm and Dr. Davenport was quick and very helpful. My dog was taken care of nicely, and we got some prescription medicine for him. Hopefully he'll be good soon, but in any case, the attention was amazing.

This Alpharetta Animal Hospital Must Close! I had taken my pets there for many years and always had wonderful service until - well - Until they took people's praise for Granted... The doctors are careless. The Service is Terrible.. I drove an Hour and a half to take my ailing dog to see the Doctors I remembered when I lived there... and after telling me they would allow my dog to be inside while waiting for her apt.. they had me wait in the car on a very hot day... her sedation was wearing off and then they had the audacity to take someone else instead at the time of my apt. The doctor then wrote notes that did not correspond to the information I shared- therefore it was incorrect and misinformation.. And the staff only make excuses for the horrendous service. STAY away or Someone Please Buy them OUT! and FIRE them ALL

Best Place I can trust bringing my Sally here. They are kind to her when she was still young and had too much energy. And yet kind to her when she is now older with joint issues. A little bit of a wait time if you come at the busy time, but it is an walk-ins no appointment needed. I understand. And if there is an emergency case of cause they should be prioritized. Thank you for everything you all do, love our pets and not trying to overcharge our bills.

Cat owners: Beware!Very disappointed with my last visit for my 2 year old cat. I've been taking my childhood dog to this vet for over 15 years and have never had an issue, however, this last time has me searching for a new vet entirely. It’s a real shame, since we love our usual vet that’s worked there for quite some time. The younger female vet for this visit was extremely rough with my cat, grabbing her by the scruff and yanking her from her carrier aggressively (the carrier had a lifting top for easy, non stressful access). My cat has never been non-compliant, she doesn't scratch, bite, hiss, or hide during any part of the process. When they took her back for a urinalysis for a UTI (which should be a relatively painless procedure), I heard the most guttural, heart wrenching scream ever come from my cat. She was given nothing for pain management whilst having a needle inserted through her abdomen, and into her bladder, despite the bill being upwards of $500. When she was returned, her eyes were watering and she nearly FAINTED on the exam table and was in a state of complete shock, and the vets (or techs?) only response was "yeah, she flinched pretty good when we stuck her". She was dazed and unable to walk when we took her home. There was no follow up after traumatizing her and doing god knows what behind closed doors, I was terrified and have NEVER seen my cat in that condition, and she has routine vet visits with "uncomfortable" circumstances. I understand that sometimes there are painful things that must happen when caring for pets, but this HAD to of been ENTIRELY unacceptable.
