My daughter’s belonging were stolen out of our storage unit and when we removed the remaining belongings there were mice droppings EVERYWHERE

Well, I had to post this review to offset the two bad reviews I saw here. We have used Royal Storage for years and have never had a problem. Staff has always be great. We paid our monthly bill at the office for a long time, but eventually (before COVID hit) moved to paying it online. Still never had a problem with payments or access to facility when we needed it. We receive emails in timely manner if we need to access via a different gate or with a different access code. Everything is spelled out clearly in the email, and we have never had any issues at all in all these years. Very satisfied with the unit and with how well it has protected the stuff we have stored there. Thank you, Royal Storage, from a loyal customer.

Thank you for replying back to my other one star review and explaining the whole situation in full detail, even though everything you stated is not accurate. I’ll refresh your memory below. Also, thank you for proving my point that you have terrible customer service because you clearly show that you argue with your customers and that you feel they are in the wrong no matter what.**For the record, I did not know the exact date I was moving out in February and I didn’t call you in January. In Jan, I asked you the weekend I was moving out in person, because the dates fell perfectly. You must not keep that great of notes and you may want to get a calendar as well to refresh your memory. Sometimes your tenants don’t have an exact move out date because they have to leave quickly or they may be waiting to see what the weather is going to do, which you failed to mention. I also love how you tried to use January as an example in your explanation. January was a completely different situation, because of how the dates fell for that month. You also act as if I took myself off auto bill and then moved out on the 13th, which would have been the next weekend in February, then this would have been avoided, which I highly doubt is the case. You would have expected the full payment and probably taken action if you didn’t get it.Again, here’s you another one star! I hope people see this and save themselves the trouble. You lost business from me and I hope you lose more!!! Learn how to treat your customers right and do the right thing for them!

WOW! I have just moved to Albany and I needed a storage facility. The way you handle your past tenants who have provided money to you, is astonishing. You should be ashamed of yourselves. That is absolutely no way to handle a client. Piss poor, I will take my business elsewhere after reading these reviews. You can't always be right, and that is okay! I needed 7 units but I will happily take my hard earned money elsewhere if this is how you treat your good paying clients! Terrible.

Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!!! The storage facility and workers were okay until I moved out. I paid for two units for a whole year on time every single month, but when I moved out at the first of the month, they still kept my money for the whole month instead of issuing a refund. Take my advice and do not sign up for autopay with them because when you officially move out, they’ll keep all of your money for the whole month even if you moved out at the first of the month! And when you ask if there is a possibility of refund, they’ll make it seem like it’s your fault that you didn’t come off autopay instead of actually treating you right as a paying customer. I’ll never use them again. I’ll take my hard earned money elsewhere. Plenty of other places to rent storage from in our area than to deal with their lack of morals in doing the right thing for their customer!!

You can't get in after they lock the gates. I always have rented from 24 hours with gate codes.

They used to have great staff and service. That completely changed after they laid off (or fired) their best employee who had been there for many years. Now, they keep raising their rates and adding new fees. We have been customers for almost a decade, but just received an ugly letter threatening to cut our lock and sell our stuff because I didn't realize I hadn't paid last month's rent. Monthly rent was not due until the 10th of each month when we first rented our unit, but they changed that on us also without any warning. We are done and will be finding another storage place to rent from.
