I’ve been using this shop for YEARS and never had any issues. But the older Mr Robert gets, the grumpier he gets and the worst comes out. I had brought in some brake pads to put on my car, I was already ill about the sudden jump in price just to INSTALL the pads, but whatever. I needed them on right then and didn’t have time to do it myself (which is what I normally do.) I was watching the entire time but thought it was a bit odd that he was getting mad about me watching. I guess I found out why! The pads were placed in the calipers BACKWARDS first. The thicker pad was placed on the inside causing the pistons to SHATTER! I called him to explain what was happening because I was having a LOT of squeaking. When I took the pads out and calipers apart, this is what I found. No one else has touched these brakes! Now I have to come out of pocket to buy new calipers because he swears up and down that he didn’t do that. But you can CLEARLY see the indention where the pistons were pressed against BOTH pads at some point. He said they were never put in wrong, but these pictures prove otherwise. I will never be bringing another vehicle back to Dent’s…. EVER! Poor customer service! Absolutely rude response when being proven wrong. I don’t care if you’ve been putting on brake pads for 50 years. EVERYONE makes mistakes. But it takes a REAL man to admit when he’s wrong. He clearly has a problem admitting his mistakes and refuses to make things right. Just because I’m a woman, doesn’t mean I’m stupid.

This place had always been a solid shop. I'm not sure what's going on with Mr, Robert recently over the years, I know he's going through some stuff. But the way I'm being treated over the shop's mistake is absolutely uncalled for. Took my Mustang in to have the brake pads replaced. Not long after having them on I noticed a squeaking. It's a Mustang, so I honestly thought it would be the wheel bearings because when you replace one thing, something else goes out. Anyway, as I'm taking the wheel off to replace the bearings, I'm removing the caliper to discover that my pistons are shattered! And you can CLEARLY tell it was from improper installation. See, brake pads have inside pads and outside pads, the inside pads have locking prongs on the outside and the outside pads have lock prongs towards the middle. You can clearly see where the inside prongs made holes in the piston, causing them to shatter under pressure. I called to discuss what I had found and he started cursing at me, raising his voice, calling me an idiot and stupid. Saying things like "I've been doing this for 50 f'n years. I know what the F I'm doing." I wasn't questioning his ability by any means. Like I said before, I've been using him since I started driving 20 years ago! He absolutely refuses to admit any fault. Refuses to replace the calipers. I probably would've let it go if he wouldn't have called me an idiot and stupid. But in all honesty, that could've been a serious situation had my brakes failed because of the pistons being shattered. Now I have to buy new calipers, new pads, AND new rotors after being OVERCHARGED just to put the brake pads in to begin with. (Because he charged me $160 just to INSTALL brake pads I brought in myself.) This man has lost all of my respect. And I refuse to just let this go. I could've died! Or worse! I could've killed someone else! This is NOT an acceptable way of handling business. And the fact that he doesn't even care speaks VOLUMES! So, if you decide to use this old man, be cautious!!! Because he's losing it!

Saved my butt today, had a nail in my tire and about half way on a 500 mile trip. Robert had my tire patched in about 15 mins. Great place!!!!

We found a nail in our tire on our way to Atlanta. Pulled in and received service right away. They jacked up the car (we got to stay inside the car in AC), removed the tire, got the nail out, patched, and we were on our way in 20 minutes. Great little repair shop.

The man who waited,on me was not Mr Dent. Let me be clear about that! He has always been very nice, polite and professiona! This man was incredulously forward and rude. Unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable and most unwelcome. I have been going there for 20+years and will not return while that man world there!
