Does not take fraud reports seriously. Refuses to help. Instead, requires full name, SSN, account # and address to discuss the situation. Really? Isn't that most if not more than what is needed to successfully carry out an identity theft? Then, they hang up the phone instead of answering the question of whether they were too lazy or too ignorant to connect my phone number to a SMS allegedly coming from the bank. If this had not happened to me, I would not have believed it possible, especially from the bank that holds the record for the biggest internal fake account scam in history that is still trying to stop fraud related to millions of fake accounts that WF employees opened on their own systems and according to Wikipedia and other news sources are still not fully cleaned up.

I tried to talk to 3 local branches about Currency Exchange and went through 3 Voice Mail nightmares. Each time I ended up with a CSR in Texas,,, Wow, miss the days of a "local" banker.. No local phones answered at any branch so I drove 30 minutes to where the CSR from Texas told me to go and then with a quick, no eye-contact reply of: "Currency needs to be ordered now....'due to the pandemic'...(?)..." Great First Union, Good Wachovia and now rock-bottom with WF... ....Just missing the middle T.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. My husband went to deposit a check this morning. He wasn't trying to cash it, just deposit it. This is a $5,000 check from a multi-billion dollar trucking company as compensation for their driver wrecking my husband's car. These people acted like he had a fake or stolen check and after having him sit at the bank for 40+ minutes refused to deposit it. I definitely feel like my husband was racially profiled. Clearly they don't value his business.

For a neighborhood branch of a giant conglomerate, the Mars Hill Wells Fargo does a good job of making it feel like your local bank. Our primary visits are for run-of-the-mill cashier's check, notary, child account type items, and each time we get friendly efficient service.Having a large banking network helps with any needs we have like currency exchange or plenty of ATMs. You'll still feel like there are people who share just the right amount of small-town flavor though at the local branch. We've persisted through the mega-merger and the fake-account-creation scandals. They continued to try hard here and separate from the negative persona, providing good long-time client benefits and allowing some to be grandfathered from the other bank's days. We'll stay with WF, since it's as convenient as the other three within 500 yards. It's not like we're staying for the .01% APY. But we'll take the interest-earnings tradeoff for a smiling banker and a little personal touch we get here.

Slowest drive through tellers in Wells Fargo banking system. Took almost 20 minutes last month and 15 minutes this month. And now, when you give them your personal check countersigned on back with your signature along with your drivers license and ask for cash in specific denominations, they ask you if you want it deposited!!! They suggest that if you don't want it deposited (of course there was no deposit slip sent with check) you should include a note verifying that you just want your personal check cashed!!!

I called to ask what hours they had due to Covid and this lady just hung up on me after I asked. I called back and she had a MAJOR attitude and sounded like she was just over it. Wouldn’t do my banking here if I were you.

I went into the branch feeling very weak from a medical condition, for a simple transaction. The racism at this branch is so high that Arnette called me a racial slur, denied my transaction and got the support of Anthony Arnone, branch manager, who made it clear that if I was too weak and in too much pain to smile in his face and beg him to let the transaction go through, then he was going to laugh in my face and tell Arnette, Do whatever you want.” I’m disappointed. These are representatives of a national bank.
