Lake City Animal Hospital has been our vet since my husband and I moved here in July 2007. Our current dog, a sweet rescued Beagle named Blake, has a hot spot under his head that needs help healing. I took him this morning to see Dr. Holland who expertly diagnosed Blake's problem. Thank you to Hope and Dr. Holland for their tender, loving care and attention to Blake this morning and likewise to everyone at Lake City. You are all wonderful!

We used to bring our dogs here when they were still with us. When we rescued a cat, we went to a closer vet but we were unhappy with the service and unclear pricing. We have happily switched back to Lake City Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly and they are clear and up front on their pricing.

After visiting a few different vets in the area, I have come to find that Lake City treats my animals the best! They listen to the concerns and communicate treatment options based on your needs. My visit yesterday for one of my cats (his first visit with them, but I've had other pets come prior) went great. They treated my cat with extreme care and answered any and all questions I had. If they didn't know the answer, they made sure to get someone who would know. Thank you to Hope Baugh and all the staff members who helped yesterday! While bringing your pet to the vet is never a joyous occasion, I am happy to know that when I take my pets to Lake City, that they are well cared for!

I honestly don’t even know how long it’s been since we have been seeing Dr. Holland and Haley because they are like family to us! After going to many different vets these ladies overshadowed the rest! We have had 4 furbabies in their care and they received nothing but the best care! They have the best empathic bedside manners they listen and I think that is the most important part when looking for care for these angels on earth. Specifically my baby Oscar yorkie suffered from allergies his whole life and in one visit she gave him the quality of life that he so deserved in his golden years and we are grateful as well as our baby Deuce blue pit was properly diagnosed so he could enjoy his golden years as well. We are eternally grateful to these ladies because they are in fact a team for giving us the extra time with them before they passed. Dr Holland and Haley have given us peace with our two furbabies still with us because we know that they will be well cared for and that is a gift! Thank you both!

I have owned animals for 35 years, and for the last 17 years Lake City care has blessed me with the long, healthy lives of 7 cats and 3 dogs. They have consistently proved to be in a class by themselves.Dr Carmichael: thank you for 17 years of compassion and excellence. Thank you for saving Oscar the cat, and helping me to have the strength to let go of friends when their quality of life becomes the only concern.Dr Holland: I remember when you were an intern at Lake City and you have become an amazing Vet. Thank you for taking great care of Trixy the dog, and all of those goofy cats over the years.Dr Fellows: Recently you started taking care of my dogs Jasper and Griffin and I can see the capacity for the same dedication, compassion and expertise that Drs Carmichael and Holland offer to Lake City patients and owners. Thank you for everything you do.Hope and Summer: The Lake City Staff has always been outstanding, and I wish I could remember everyone's names to explicitly share the credit for excellence all around, but you two have been recent examples of the continued kindness and thoughfulness that has been the signature of Lake City Staff over all these years.Thank you all !

Absolutely love this place. You can't go wrong with any vet (we've seen them all by now, ha) but Dr. Holland and her techs Hailey and Hope have taken extra care of our sphinx cats. Our youngest has had a pretty rough start and Dr Holland has taken the time to look at every angle and explore every possible thing we can do to help him (he's doing great now!). She explains everything in detail and answered all our many questions without rushing through anything. I feel like they all love my boys just as much as I do!The office is easy to communicate with and if I ever have questions they are all very helpful and quick to respond. This vet clinic was also so very good at taking care of our senior dogs while they were still on this side of the rainbow. Can't say enough good things about this place.

We have been going to Lake City for years. 3 weeks ago my baby of 16 1/2 years had to be put to sleep. Hope was kind & compassionate. She stayed with us the whole time. Hope called to check on us. She even offered to bring my baby’s things to our house. Hope is very special, I will never forget her kind heart. Thank You for helping us through the hardest day.

At my last appointment I spoke with Anna the receptionist and she was very efficient and empathetic towards my concerns about by fur baby. And Dr. Harp and Hope listened very attentively to my concerns and were so patient with Stinky (my cat), who was very anxious. Very thankful for those lovely ladies!!

It’s been years since I’ve had a dog, so I had lots of questions. Calling to schedule my appointment, I spoke to Anna who was very friendly and professional. Upon arriving, I was greeted happily by Anna who made the check in process seamless. Then I’m at Haley, who was extremely knowledgeable and caring to both me and my puppy. Dr. Holland took time to answer all of my questions thoroughly without making me feel rushed. I highly recommend Lake City Animal Hospital to anyone searching for a vet clinic with exceptional service.

I was so excited to hear that the veterinarian had an opening today to see my dog. I had called 4 other vets and nobody had openings. See my 5 month old puppy passed away yesterday and my 8 year old dog had been vomitting and having diarrhea. We don't know why the puppy passed so we wanted to make sure that our other dog hadn't caught something from the puppy. That's why we wanted to make sure our dog was seen today. Much to my dismay the experience at this vet was one for the ages and not in a good way. They ran plenty of tests on my dog to test for Parvo, parasites, etc. This is exactly what I wanted and I was relieved to here that he was dehydrated. A simple fix for most, simply give the dog more water. They did try to give us some medication to help with the nausea and diarrhea, but we determined based on the vets diagnosis that we would take him home and let him have plenty of water. When my wife inquired what the pricing would be without the medication the nurse spoke with the vet and came back. The nurse then informed my wife that the vet recommended they not leave without the medication. When I say recommended I mean quilted and threatened. The nurse had used the fact that we just had another dog pass to guilt my wife into purchasing the medication. The nurse even mentioned that they would hate to have us in a situation where our family wakes up to another dead dog. Even after my wife refused, they threatened to not allow us to leave with our dog that was simply dehydrated. I can understand looking out for a dogs well being, but they hadn't determined anything extremely life threatening except that our dog needed more water. This has to be some of the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. Utilizing a recent loss in order for a customer to purchase medication is disgusting. This should be a warning to all those out there interested in trying out a new veterinarian. I would not recommend this one.
