Took my dog there for an evaluation and playday. During the introduction/tour owner showed a long flexible pole with loose strips on end of it and said they will carry it and use by swinging it in front of them to keep the dogs from rushing the gates and to keep them in line if necessary; may touch dog on hind with it to get them to move or listen. Also said they may use a spray bottle with vinegar and something else in it or hose to squirt dogs to stop an interaction. Watched the cameras ALL the time and saw some disturbing things. One dog was literally kicked/pushed with a worker's foot on the hind end to get it up and moving out of the kennel. Another dog was struck what appeared to be hard on the hind end with that pole end; appearing as if he went the wrong way. The pole was swung very quickly in front of a worker to move dogs back like she said it would be; some of them cowered at it…have seen that reaction prior in dogs that have been struck. Too many dogs in play areas at same time for my liking. AND all they seemed to do was meander about and follow the worker around the yard; once in a great while the worker would pet a dog and then push others away that also wanted petting/attention. Pretty sad. Owner talks a good line about dog psychology and treatment when you inquire. These are observations by an owner, and if it had been my dog that had the interactions above with staff, I would have been there immediately. And by the way, you have no idea what my background/knowledge/training is…
You are right, you don’t send dogs home injured or needing vet care due to problems or interactions with other dogs. You keep the dogs safe. Your tactics are just not agreeable with me.

My pup and I love Happy Trails! We use them for boarding several times per year, grooming every few months and have always had a good experience. They know my dog’s name and seem to really care about all of the animals that they care for. I have never had any doubt in the care that they provide. We are so blessed to have a place to care for my boy that enables me to not have to worry about him when I’m gone.

They have been a wonderful place for my 3 dogs to get socialized and play with other pups. Ranging in age from 1 year to 9, they have been accommodating to their every need. We also choose to board with them and they always go the extra mile to ensure they are eating well and comfortable through personalized care. They even added cooked turkey to their food to encourage their appetite and give them breaks from play when needed. Highly recommend.

I have been using another boarding place for some time. They are lovely, but a bit far.
I called ahead to make an appointment to tour the facility, and they did a great job of working around my schedule. I was informed I would get an “orientation” so I understand how the facility works. While I originally thought it was probably a bit of overkill, I actually learned a lot from the amazing woman (I am terrible with names! Maybe Rachel?). She clearly has a ton of experience with dogs, and is passionate about making sure every pup who comes through has the best experience.
Super weird, but one thing I noticed was the smell of the place! Not much of a dog scent. It’s clearly very well kept.
I got to see in action how they cater to each of the dogs needs, and I really appreciate that they separate dogs by the way they play.
I also LOVE that the dogs are playing for majority of the day. It is so fun to pop on the webcams and see what your fur baby is up to. I was willing to pay extra for that service, but it’s included!!
Speaking of!! The pricing is amazing! It’s more affordable than other places I have looked at, but with far more to offer.
Just upon walking in, there were other clients and plenty of them stopped to tell me this place was amazing.
The staff was all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to really care about the animals in their care.
I also have to mention, it was pointed out they have an “emergency boarding area”. You never know how life is going to hit you, but clearly this place has your back!!
This is my new go to boarding place.

Could not recommend this place enough! My family is no stranger to happy trails, in 2018 my mother started bringing our family dog, Chloe, here and she enjoyed and loved daycare until she reached her last senior years and ultimately passed away. Shortly after I started bring my own dog to day care and boarding services, Murphie, and she loves happy trails so much she gets excited as soon as we turn onto the road! Today I dropped off my new puppy, tater tot, to his first day of day care and I can already tell by watching the cameras (the cameras are amazing to watch them play btw!) he is loving it! The employees here are so compassionate about animals and as a ER vet tech I am extra careful with whom I leave my babies with. I have no worries leaving my fur-babies here!!

There is so much good (and so many more stars I could give) I could say about Happy Trails and the staff but I will try to keep this concise (as possible)
1) Daycare - When we first got our PitMix Kelsi, we tried another Daycare because she needed socialization. After 3 months of a trial run, they told us Kelsi was not allowed to come back because she was "too energetic". We were defeated because we knew this was something Kelsi needed. So we tried Happy Trails. Within the 1st week, Kelsi was accustomed to the staff and the facility and they loved her. We now send both of our PitMixes to Happy Trails. They love it!
2) Training - Over the holidays, our dogs got in a massive fight which lead to an emergency ER trip. This led to trust issues between both our girls and an uneasiness whenever they were around each other. It put mine and my wife's lives on hold (had to cancel a vacation, cut our holiday short, etc) because we needed to always be on guard with the girls. It got so bad that we were coming to terms with the fact that we would have to give one of them away and it broke our hearts. Thankfully, we spoke with Ray at Happy Trails and she said we could fix this. Over a few months of training and hard work, they have finally got back to their playful selfs and are much more obedient.
We could not be more appreciative of Ray and the staff at Happy Trails. The way they care for Kelsi and Stevie and the love they show to them makes us so thankful that we found them.
10 Stars!

We are VERY sensitive to where we take our baby and this is one of our favorite places. Hands (paws) down! I love their philosophy and how they handle the dogs, the type of structure the dogs have during the day, just everything. Perfectly in line with how I’d hope my baby is taken care of. Thank you!!

Happy Trails always takes excellent care of your pups. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are excellent. And if you want your puppy to look like this (pictured below) after a day of work it's money well spent.

Amazing facility that truly cares about the dogs in their care. Any morning I ask my Lacey, "Do you want to go see your friends"? She jumps up and RUNS to the door? I trust that! They are AWSOME

I cannot say enough great things about this center! I called for information the other day and spoke to Rachel. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She answered all my questions and more and didn’t make me feel rushed at all, which was a problem with most of the places I looked into. The sign up was very thorough (which I very much appreciate as a crazy dog mom) and check in on the first time was super smooth. I was given a tour of the entire facilities at drop off and any other questions or concerns I had were answered. Ray was so kind and a pleasure to speak with. I check on the cameras multiple times during the day and every time the ladies watching the group were attentive, loving, and you could just tell they enjoyed what they were doing. It’s not often you find a daycare where the attendants are more than just watching, and actually interacting with the pups. At one point I saw one of the girls dancing with a dog, which made my heart very happy. At pickup I was once again greeted by many kind faces ready to help with check out. All of the ladies told me how well my pup did on his first day and really made me and my pup feel so welcomed and just happy to have us there. I think we’ve found our new daycare home for Bentley and could not be more thrilled with the amazing environment and staff. Thank you so much for running an amazing business! I see you and I appreciate you!
